  1. Ex-Man Ure youth and has scored sod all so far in his career..
  2. http://www.oldham-chronicle.co.uk/news-fea...cked-into-touch Does anyone in Oldham have any interest or sympathy towards the two local clubs?
  3. Right I see, cause I looked for info on him but haven't found anything.
  4. So with this "Charity Commission" now involved will this end up being another sports park 2000? From what I gather things don't sound too promising.
  5. Don't hate Mancs, just hate Oldhamer's that think there Mancs.
  6. http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/page/NewsU...1972496,00.html As you will see another player injured whilst covering as right back. Later in the article it says that ":censored:, Reuben Hazell and Kieran Lee" can and have played there, but it says nothing about Rene Steer, I was told he looked good in pre-season but he hasn't featured this year, I know he was injured but I thought he came back from that over christmas.
  7. No supprise here, was even described as being "comon knowledge" in the chron. My only concern is that the stadium is quite small, so if they wanted to, can the rugby club expand the ground?
  8. If this was to happen, would the club be given a healthy amount of cash from the FA, in a bid to bring the training facilities up to a premiership standard? If so could only be a good thing for the club.
  9. Castle Irwell, is a campus for salford uni, the pavilion now known as the "pav" still stands all the terracing is very visible. I often wonder why the site closed as I beleved that horse racing has always been popular.
  10. Yes it may take time to make a profit, but if the intention is to be at the stadium for 100yrs+ then thats alot of profit.
  11. Agreed, the Met stop is a must and the extra income gained from turning the car park into a park and ride 6/7 days a week must be enough to make the board go with the decision.
  12. Was anything mentioned about being able to expand the stadium beyond 16,000 or is that the limit?
  13. This is a little off subject, but was watching the football show on BBC1 last night, an it showed the Stockport Physio, who'd been doing the job for 20 yrs, I think he was called Rodger Wylde, is he an ex latics player?
  14. Atleast the new stewards might do a better job!
  15. Rubbish, what good would flooding our team with 8 new players do? We have one of the better defensive records in the country all we lack/lacking is some attacking players.
  16. Lets hope its not a scaled down model built out of lego...
  17. just been watching sky sports article on the raids in greater manchester that the police undertook to arrest trouble makers for the united and city game, and guess where they were... Oldham!, why cant more people be faithfull to their home town team?
  18. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11719_5808336,00.html We could see a small amount of profit from the sale of this player, thats if the reports are true.
  19. Hopefully Brill will pull his finger out and produce some performances that are deserving of his reputation from a few seasons ago, other than that this could be the great return of Flemming and his chance to shine...
  20. I hope we can keep him for at least the season, we need another striker with a decent strike rate, he knows this division like the back of his hand and his experience is an asset.
  21. As in "Limeside"? I was under the impression that this stadium was to a similar standard to Chaddy FC so deemed unsuitable by the Rugby Association.
