  1. Yea I was talking about the rugby, should have elaborated on it more.
  2. Just herd last night that Rugby league is moving to Wrexham next season so that might bring a little more revenue towards the club.
  3. Was having a chat with my mate last night and neither of us had any idea of were the new ground is supposed to be, can anyone shed any light on this for me?
  4. Already voted, just makes me wish that I was old enough to have witnessed the Chaddy end in full flow...
  5. Royal Army-After lookin on the Chron sight I couldnt help but think that this was you- "Wardle link-up may happen one day i belive because i heard a romour from a close man that i know if things dont improve at oldham athletic fc. New invester would be great i hope someone can help us out lol and am glad to hear that corney will back penney with some money." By Ibby786 @ 10/12/2009 13:24:26 If so is there anywhere that you don't spread your filth?
  6. I for one feel that standing would be a great future to the new stadium, I also feel that it is needed to help keep lower league football alive, fans cannot keep shelling out £20 a ticket, we need a cheaper option that can boost the crowd numbers and club revenue. We know what the problems were at Hillsbrough and can apply this to new builds.
  7. did he score from the corner spot against city, but it was dissalowed?
  8. Well its a start at least, lets hope he can turn into a real gem an get some cash coming into the club.
  9. Bloody Morecambe, wonder what went wrong there then, saw him win the crossbar challenge at Blackpool in the early part of the season too.
  10. What was the reason for not signing Haining? also were is he playing now?
  11. Moving to Failsworth is bad enough but changing name would be the last nail in the coffin for sure.... Infact given the location the the TA barracks we should become the "Territorial Athletic F.C", every week we get new players drafted in from around the country, would fit in well with all the loan signings we've had in recent years.
  12. Good stuff, from what I've gathered it looks as though he will be on the bench tonight, sky sports pictured him training with the first team squad.
  13. With regards to the Chris Taylor saga, a Family friend works with his one of his relatives, it has been mentioned that he has been playing through the pain barrier for the majority of games this season and has no intention of leaving, this is what I have been told and I hope it puts some minds at ease...
  14. In tonights chron it has mentioned that we are to receive a amount of cash off chelsea if he plays tonight, national press said its too be around the £2million mark, utter rubbish, AH has done well to laugh this off. It mentioned that the deal did have a clause involved, and i'm just wondering if anyone has any idea of what that amount could be.
  15. Just to gain a better understanding of this deal- Are we basically just being used by Liverpool to train up players that would normally be in their youth team? If so surely Liverpool should be putting some money into our training facilities or wages for the youth coaches?
  16. Yes difficult doesn't mean impossible, but in Oldham anything can be possible...
  17. after reading the report on the chronicle i read something very worrying... "One Latics fan and Failsworth resident did back the plans and asked if the stadium could be extended if Latics make it to the Premier League — but was told that would be difficult." why are we moving here if we cannot develop the ground in the future, this has put a major dampener on my views of the move, initially I was against it, then slowly turned towards the idea, now after reading this I think its a pointless move and it will hamper our chances of ever getting higher in the footballing league...
  18. ohh i c, so this is when a third choice CB would have come in handy...
  19. Just wondering if anyone off here went to the OAFC/FRAG meeting tonight?
  20. Im, not to sure, but I did notice the club being advertised on the Chron website today so I don't think that all ties have been canceled.
  21. Just found out he died in 2004, what a shame, still good that he kept playing football until three years earlier...
  22. A member of OAFC.co.uk has recently set up a meeting with the club and AH, the feedback is to be listed on a separate thread, any one interested join here. http://www.webservicesbc.com/latics/maillist.html OLDHAM ATHLETIC AFC Latics Supporters Club, Canada Mailing List for the Official Oldham Athletic Newsletter for Fans This mailing list allows LATICS fans from home and around the world to discuss the team and goings-on at Boundary Park.
