  1. how exactly are they crawling? They need 1 point from 5 remaining games (thats providing Rotherham win all their remaining four). That's hardly a crawl.:lol:

Because they haven't won in 4 games since the 27th March.

Conceded 8 goals and scored none.

Have been replaced at the top by Notts County.

That, to me, suggest the race to the finish line has lost it's wheels somewhat...or do you disagree?

  2. Ha ha, very good.

When on the pitch they didn't bother / need to mark him.

Anyway you look at it, he has scored 20 goals this season and Dale have managed, I think, to score around 79 goals.

They are crawling over the finish line, as they suffer from only to be expected, last minute nerves.

I hope they clinch it this weekend.

  3. The same Tranmere that just got dicked 3-0 at home to Wycombe (before anyone says the same one that beat Norwich...by all accounts, they beat Norwich with 12 men, a couple of pens vs the Canaries 10 men)....

None of those in the bottom 4 will get more than 47pts....relaaaaaaaax!!!

This statement does not allow for the unpredictability of football.

For instance, Leyton Orient beating Norwich!

  4. Don't know Ackey. But i know full well he was annoyed. If your too ill to play you don't get to the game at what ever time the players turn up, have a meeting in the managers office and then leave at 2.45. you either don't turn up at all so not to pass the infection on or you stay and watch the match.

Maybe Penney thought that Brill showed up better in training this week.

Players should be professional and take these things on the chin. For all of Brill's fragility in some departments, he never shirks his responsibility and did well today.

  5. 2 poor sides who were seperated by a great pass and finnish. Not often said this season.

1st half was dreadful 2nd half was an improvement and most importantly 3 points. not much else to be said really.

Flahavan was not ill either. He drove away from the away directors car park at 2.45 after a meeting with Penney. Face like thunder aswell.

His face might have looked like that because he was unwell.

I don't think he can be blamed for our recent defeats.

  6. scraping a result against a :censored: team doesnt change much in terms of the way we are performing, still worries where we are going to pick up points to survive. 3 points is more than welcome..... where we will get our next i dont know.

Agreed and I just hate the fact that we are not playing on Monday like the rest of the league...we could be back in the drop zone by Tuesday, which doesn't exactly help with the psychological pressure side of things.

  7. thought we dug out the points today,in patches we played very well, strung some good passes together and looked quite threatening going forward....however that was punctuated with the inevitable nervousness, players didnt want the ball...then just got rid asap....taylor again showed a couple of times he can do it,but im getting fed up of his lazt halfhearted attempts now.doesnt want the ball, always cuts inside...gives away possession too easily and goes down like a fairy....any other player would have been dropped ages ago.think it might just do him good to do it now...

greegs...had a tough game today with there big forward, handled it well, got a couple of knocks but his usual self

lewis guy ran his socks off again...great loan signing, well taken goal..

special mention goes to worthington though...you should have carried on up the tunnell out the door down to motorway and up the m62 you useless waste of a wgae...if hes a footballer im going to the world cup instead of rooney!!!

    Yes, but he's Penney's mate, isn't he?

I thought he'd done enough since coming back into the line-up to be dropped completely for today's game.

    Well done lads.
