Do you reckon? I don't think he's pulled off any save this season that I wouldn't expect any grown adult with arms to make...

Just had a listen back (believe it or not, I do actually hate the sound of my own voice).
Last night's result at The Shay just reinforces my view that the draw on Saturday was a disappointment, especially given our dominance. Few people have said I was a tad harsh on Hudson, but we've conceded a fair few goals that he should be stopping this season...

Didn't realise these were as high as they are. We are more than capable of going sticking 4 past them, but I've got a bad feeling about this one...

Since about 2007 we've only topped 8k fans at two games - Dorking at home (the Frank game) and Hudds in the FA Cup.
And Kidderminster...

I thought that with the Easter Fixtures. But...
Alty v Wealdstone
Gateshead v Hartlepool
are both on the 26th. Technically in the arrangements playing Tuesday / Friday is no different than playing Wednesday / Saturday and we've done that this season with a much longer journey home than the 20 minutes from Halifax.
So I can see it being arranged for Tuesday 26th. Especially if there are doubts about Halifax fulfilling their home fixtures due to their pitch.
It'll be the 16th April...

Outstanding Podcast - Andy and Matt spot on with their analysis of the game.
The team was up for it and looked far more balanced. The front two plus Lundstram were the pick of a very good starting eleven
I was going to mention something about Dallas, but Andy got in there first. Thought the ball bounced off him a lot on Saturday and quite often he slowed the momentum of our moves. But in behind the defenders, he's a threat...

I’ve seen in him countless videos where he is smiling doing his community bit/off field stuff. I’ve seen countless pictures on Twitter of him having his picture taken with kids/young Latics fans before the game. Unless you know the man not the player on a Saturday afternoon you have no idea if Norwood is a miserable person. You’re just guessing he is miserable because he has on field persona- lots of players do. Roy Keane was horrible on the pitch, and drove standards, but all the United players said he was really funny in the dressing room.
The stories being fabricated without any knowledge of the situation or the person is unbelievable.
Yep, we met him before the Woking and Ebbsfleet away games and he was really good with the kids and loved the fact that his name was on the back of shirts...

@Lee Sinnott should be deducted four points for using "overload" when discussing Chesterfield's first goal. Who does he think he is? Luke Garrard?Soz pal, been playing Footy Manager recently...

Have Halifax changed much since October 2022?
Play Dallas + 10 others and they will struggle. Jamie Stott had the turning ability of an ocean liner when he played for us 7 years ago. That won't have improved in that time. Micky Mellon (plus Brabin and Murray) will have done his research already.
The state of the pitch at Halifax, it might be a game for Fondop and Garner...

In other news.
Did anyone find Gardner apologising to chesterfield fans after scoring a bit comical?
One- he played for them years ago.
Two- he’s not some legend for them.
I'm not overly fussed, but I did find it a bit bizarre given we kept him on over the summer when most clubs would have tried to get rid due to his injury record...

Had an important appointment at 3:30, accordingto his twitter. Doesn't want to be considered again, if it's being suggested he can't be arsed..
I'm not particularly bothered about him not collecting his award, but I find it bizarre that he booked an important appointment so close to the end of the game...

Chesterfield pen looked harsh to me, but we should probably never complain about a ref again after Raglan got away with common assault at Eastleigh the other week...

Unsure why I’m getting panned again.
Sounds to me like we missed multiple clear chances and then got pegged back by Chesterfield’s B team.
Why would he want to play for a team that has fans fetching the Moet after surrendering a two goal lead to a reserve team that barely turned up.
I don't necessarily disagree with this bit - not the Norwood part.
We played well, really well. But we haven't won a game that we have been pretty much completely dominant in. It's a very disappointing result, regardless of the lofty position of the opposition...

We played really well. Very disappointing result. To be so dominant and not win the game is frustrating. We need to be cleverer to get over the line...

If I was picking the team…
HudsonHobson - Raglan - Hogan
Sachdev - Conlon - Sheron - Lundstram - Kitching
Dallas - Norwood
Norman
Gardner
Hammond
Garner
Fondop
oh, and play it on the ground lads eh?
I think that's going to be exactly what the lineup is...

Regarding Big Dog's selection I cannot see what Dallas has to offer and would not have him in the starting line up. I think Fondop would be a better foil to play alongside either Norwood or Gardner to start. Fondop and Gardner formed a good partnership while Norwood was not available.
I agree he needs to do more, but the only time we looked anywhere near positive at Aldershot was when we had Dallas running at them...
