  1. God this is nervy again today we were poor tbf, going to the last game we could just do it by the skin of our teeth win and we stay up simple, don’t want to be drawing again and relying on the Dale result. Today again we looked liked there was no instruction tbh I think Wellens has ran out of ideas, I think he’s just picking 11 players and a formation and hoping for the best, Donny could have won today few good opportunities they wasted, decision to sub Byrne was very strange and I think shows a sign of a panicking manager, also why no Holloway when all we was doing was hoofing it long, was he happy with a point ? Thankfully other results went our way, but we have to do the business next week ! 3 massive home games we’ve had Gillingahm, Southend and Doncaster  teams with nothing to play for and we should be fighting for our lives and we got 2pts from 3 not good enough really hopefully Dale have got one last L in them but with them being at home could be a big advantage

  2. A win and a draw should see us safe, Walsall v Northampton on Saturday something has to give there any result there is good for us as long as we win one of the next two, Wimbledon also play Wigan. I Think we will just survive on 52 but 53 would defo do it ! I also think Dale will do it aswell

  3. Draws are probably ok away from home but we need to win at least one of next two home games, drawing is no good if other teams around us are winning we are leaving our fate in other teams hands if we continue to draw. Northampton probably have to win the next two to be safe, I believe one spot left and it’s between us Dale, Walsall and Wimbledon who takes it !

  4. Very very lucky to come away with a draw tonight it was backs to the wall for 80 minutes. Dale we’re much stronger faster first to every second ball and we’re up the for the battle, no quality in the game whatsoever it was a battle and we dident turn up. Every time we had the ball we panicked and hoofed it up to Doyle which isent going to work,  Dale will be kicking themselves for not taking all 3 points. Pringle, Byrne, Mceleny, Tope are all so weak. Placide saved us an embarrassment, he was brilliant and also Hamer had a great game for a young lad. The tactics are all wrong something needs to be changed, no shots on target all game ? Their keeper probably had his easiest game of the season. Wimbledon and Northampton both away games will both be battles like tonight and we need to be better or we will go down, I just don’t think we’ve got the personnel to get us over the line, this time, at least when Shez saved us  he had every player putting in a shift and I just don’t see that with Wellens. Holloway has to start Saturday if we are going long with it, tbh I wish we had Calvin Andrew because that is what you want from your CF ! , Nazon was poor tonight nothing came off for him. Penalty was correct decision !  So tight at the bottom and I can see Dale staying up it will go down to the wire this and not confident of survival at all !

  5. Worrying times, it is still in our hands with us having to play Dale, Wimbledon and Northampton still but we are not showing good signs, these will not be easy games, every one of them will be a battle and I just don’t think we have the type of players that want to fight, should of been out of sight today worrying that the goals have dried up, Doyle’s missed a few good chances recently, Nazon seems to be our only threat. Mcleney looks out of his depth at this level, everything he tries to do doesent come off, May of looked good in the league of Ireland but that may aswell be non league level, so tight now and Dale are bang in form we need to be at our best on Tuesday a defeat and I fear the worst. Moimbe was stupid to do that, draw no good today with Dale, Wimbledon and Northampton all winning, down to the bare bones at the back Moimbe, Dummigan, Bryan and Wilson all out I’d be getting Peter Clarke back for the last few games scored today and we need leaders !!

  6. Placides form seemed to dip after he lost his mother he was shit hot before then, his distribution and shot stopping was superb and if I remember he kept us in a few games, not saying it’s his excuse but not helped by the fact the whole team went on a bad run, He used to catch most of the shots that he faced now he seems to be parrying a lot of them into dangerous areas, I’m sure he will get back to his best again he is a very good keeper at this level.

  7. I’ll take a point at Blackburn, a very good side but we outplayed them all first half, Nazon class for both goals very encouraging , Placide with another assist ! Second half we started well but great free kick from Mulgrew a Championship level player to get them back in the game. Noticed Mulgrew a CB was taking all of their set pieces probably one of the best players in league 1 ! We were up against it then at 2-1 and I knew we were probably going to be lucky to get a draw, what a save from Placide at 2-2 late on, point blank to keep us level Holloway had a great chance on the volley to win it at the death but scuffed it wide, imagine the scenes if that went in ! Great day though and fantastic support over 2000 class, need to win on Tuesday though !

  8. Shez like team performance yesterday, started off poorly but battled for a good 75 mins, every player put in a shift and contributed. Defence was superb Wyke dident get a sniff off Gerrard and Bryan, Moimbe slotted in and dident look out of place, Dummigan goal of the season and had an excellent second half. Gardener back to his old self again chasing down every ball him and Fane were brilliant ! Pringle much better on the wing, some good passes from Byrne but he was quiet for most of the game. Nazon looks a decent player a striker that can run at defenders and create probably should of scored but ball bobbled up just before he hit it. Davies did a job he always seem to drift out to the wing though maybe a tactic from Wellens. Good subs by Richie, Mcgalughin with great cross to Holloway and good header, Byrne rightly subbed he doesn’t defend and we needed to hold on some clever play by Tope to run into the corners with the ball. Their goal looked like Placide completely flapped at it and spilled into the goal but will have to have another look. Onto Blackburn with confidence as they lost yesterday no reason we can’t go there and give them a game but I’d take a point at Ewood then MASSIVE game at Dale week after !

  9.                            Placide

    Mcglaughlin      Bryan    Gerrard     Moimbe

       Dummigan       Byrne    Fane        Pringle

                          Davies   Nazon

    Subs

    Zues

    Wilson

    Benyu

    Gardener

    Edmunson

    Holloway

    Nepo

Dummigan becoming a liability at RB defensively so I’d swap him with Mcglaughlin, give Dummy a go on the wing because he has good attacking qualites but been poor defensively, this is where I feel we are being caught out by teams with our full backs getting forward far to often and teams are getting down the sides of us on the counter, prime examples was both Plymouth goals last weekend, I feel we are missing Hunt in this case as he’s a very steady defender. Gardener needs a break been poor for a while now not sure what it is, maybe carrying an injury ? Pringle LW getting crosses into Davies and Nazon !

  10. Seems like he’s been found out and has no plan B, teams have become wise to our tactics, he needs a plan B and fast his style of play will not work on our pitch, unfortunately  will have to be a change to long ball at home  and play Davies and Holloway away we might be able to play a bit !

  11. 12 minutes ago, singe said:

Surely the fact the KB & JB have just been cleared to play confirms that the delay was with the EFL?

I imagine the EFL were happy with everything regarding the takeover which allowed us to register the new players, EFL have done their bit, now it’s down to AL and Blitz and Gazal to agree on terms then the takeover will be fully complete

  12. Tough one, depends if the money we get for him would help us get Doyle, don’t think we’d be making a profit on him, decent squad player his hold up play is superb and good player to bring on off the bench when Davies tires, another 2 assists tonight, he’s not a goal scorer but as long as he contributes in other ways then why complain about his goals record ? Strange if we replace him with JCH who is a bit more mobile but similar goals record
