But those people at Luton have gone....no longer there....offski's....the rest trying to keep the ship afloat are losing players left, right and centre (again, rightly so if they've been illegally obtained) and fighting 10pts deduction etc. The ones left aren't the cheats, there the ones who are trying to rebuild a tarnished club. Not sure what we're both saying here TBH....coz you seem to allure above that you don't actually want them to go bust. The point I was objecting over was where you said Leeds and Luton were no different. As they stand today, for me they are worlds apart and hence we'd have every right to laugh if Leeds got slapped as they should.
The good news for Luton is they are set to gain around £500k this month from a 15% sell on clause of Matty Taylor who is allegedly interesting the Villa & Bolton.

And he has probably had a season ticket for the tics for thirty years and is just as entitled to sit there quiet as you are to jump up and down singing. Get off his back and concentrate on supporting the team rather than criticising people who have probably seen more football than you've had hot dinners.
Here is where the problem lies, how many fans do you know can support there teams by being sat down at games?
Away games like Southend - crap following great atmosphere because we can stand and sing to our hearts content.
Big games like Huddersfield, Wigan or the majority of other games where we take big crowds you have the occasional fan telling you to sit down constantly hence ruining the atmosphere, even if they are entitled to sit there and watch the match in silence.
-
I am gonna raid me kids bedroom tomoz and look for anything inflatable - we had a big hammer once - I am sure someone out there will have a sheep - but give it a wipe first eh?
Grim!!!
In all honesty I doubt the atmosphere will improve until the NSM is destroyed and we are shunted into the RRE at least we will probably be heard in there. No offence to the chaddyenders because you can be in there and think it's really loud when everyone is in full voice but it barely exceeds the halfway line.

What's all this about sales being low on the kit? Is it only me that thinks 57% of the away kit sold compared to the home one is actually quite good? You'd never get anywhere near 100% of the home, blue kit especially when the home kit is for 2yrs and theres always uncertainty over when it will change (or for those in the know, the knowledge of it being for 1yr) so 57% is great sales in comparison. As has been said, I doubt any other recent away kit has sold anything like 57% of the home sales.
That's what I thought, but hell no it must go lol

Eff off you berk!
KtF,
Derek.
Too much time, too little to do mate
Don't mind me i'm off finding my life..... we play in blue, and tangerine, peach, orange, rank, whatever you want to call it
-
Get a life! Your furious ?? have a word... Hardy has explained why we HAVE to change it.... Just deal with it for goddness sake!
I'm hardly going to lose sleep over it, i'm also aware of why it has to be done and all the technicalities that go with it.
It's just annoying in my opinion because I liked the mid 90s tanger kit, and was delighted when it was provided as an option last year.
Get a life??? I can't think of anything but the next game
-
Thank the lord for that.
It is shocking and about as tangerine as a banana.
Best option of last season was voted out because everyone thought it looked like Blackpools away kit. The awfulness we are playing in away from home defies belief.
Rubbish!!
If we want to go back to tangerine, do it properly not that half arsed salmonish affair we have going on.
BTW is pink becoming fashionable again?
Juve had a fantastic away kit about three years ago that was pink. That will make us stand out. Oh for Nike instead of Carlotti!
KtF,
Derek.
Surprised you have actually noticed our kit Derek, don't you have to go to games too see that

The timing of this really stinks ...... especially winning in it at dirty Leeds and Everton. I for one will continue to wear my tangerine scarf as I have done for many years and Blue/white/tangering will now be forever the OASIS colours.
Most people I have spoken to today have voted for .................. NONE and emailed their disgust at the club for getting rid of the tangerine in just one season, the bringing back of the tangerine as created a real good feeling amoungst the fans, since when did the club ever have such a successful away shirt?
Whatever the figures bet this as sold more than any other away for many many years ...... add the amount of scarves they have sold on top of this!!!!! Can you see anyone wearing sky blue scarves next year????
A great opportunity for the club to create a unique 'brand' of blue/white /tangerine gone up in smoke. Would have accepted tangerine as the third if they had run with the white/tangerine option from last year, thus retaining the colours.
Did the club seriously belief we would like any of these???
Vote by saying NO!!!!
Can only agree with you there Mark, the buzz around the place has been miles better since the re-introduction of the Tangerine.
If it wasn't so sad, i'd laugh!!!
-
It said on fishul site that blue and tangerine would be retained as the second away strip next season.
Yeah but like has been mentioned on the long thread about the new kit unless the 'Barca' kit wins then it's not going to get much of a run out, just like the black one doesn't now.
I'm furious
-
Basically, I sent an e-mail saying I was appalled that after much badgering for a tangerine kit prior to last years vote that it is being axed already.
It is all part of contractual obligations and apparently only sold 57% of what the home kit did for obvious reasons.
So far variation reasons it is set to be axed.
My response about tradition and how we all love Blue & Tangerine seem to fall on deaf ears, maybe because Leon Clarke pie delivery had arrived??
If we are going to mount a campaign to keep it tangerine can we do something / organise something quickly?
Any ideas???

But its not Jeckly & Hyde! We went a good run of 10 games unbeaten....one balls up and the fans start throwing there dummies out of the pram!!!
One balls up?
No league home win since Sep 29th!!!!
-
you got to remember that most people dont finish work until tomorrow for christmas,so havent been able to get to bp.plus i think if we win on saturday and boxing day then there could well be a surge.
but with christmas coming and £25 a ticket what do you expect.
typical oldham fans????? the only typical ones are the glory hunters buying everton tickets because its a premier league team.
Exactly, they'll buy the Everton tickets and sacrifice Leeds for a day out etc, etc.
Very annoying stuff, the same folk won't be at Gillingham in a few tuesdays!!!
-
dont forget to ask santa for some tweezers dereck, you will get splinters sitting on that fence like that.....
3 points and trying to get out of this pi$$ poor league are more importants, yes the cup run gives us money, but come on,are we likely to beat everton away......it doesnt really matter as im sure the 1500 of us will be in good voice.
As will the 20000-30000 giving Hughes plenty I imagine so theorectically another hattrick?
-
Calm down. See what it is like after Boxing Day when we've actually played a home game whilst they've been on open sale.
Or two home games if you count Walsall on the 29th?
But, he has got a point which I mentioned earlier regardless of it being £25 we should sell out simply because we all hate Leeds
-
If you want to Pick me up at work at 2pm new years days i will buy a ticket tomorrow
I'd quit my job haha
-
See a 360 view of Goodison.
Seen before in League games
Now what is more important 3 points of the cup game!!
-
Maybe they'd rather join with fans of other clubs in swelling our numbers on a day out at a Greedy League ground, than visit a club in administration where die-hard Latics' fans are hoping for three points.
Certainly another way of putting it Diego, but, still riles me that it's what 35 miles away!
-
Mebbe people would rather have their hub caps stolen than be thumped by a gang of Leeds fans.
Although I remember back in the days of JK we poured scorn on the numbers of Huddersfield fans who came on saying our place was too expensive hence why they would bring a shocking following (which they duly obliged)
Now, people are moaning at Leeds price and responding by not buying the ticket - regardless of it being Xmas, Everton and whatever ewlse at this time of year, to not sell out the allocation for a L1 against these is nothing short of appaling in my total unbiased one sided opinion.
See you on saturday
-
What congratulations?
That Davies always tants like a school kid when he doesn't get the penalties did he not do the same at Bournemouth??
The cue the goal & the first player to jump on Hughes is Davies.
-
I would like to point out that if we win our game in hand against Swindon, we will only be 3 points outside the playoffs, it has the potential to be all change after the Xmas period.
It's a home game, we have no chance
-
. Shame Joe Royle didn't sign him before Blackpool in '89 when he had the chance. Doh!
yeah but we got ricky holden - better player and crosser - so cant really complain
Nicky Banger
-
liddell? whats the dissapointment , he is not 21 anymore so he cant run all day but was leading the table in assists last season wasnt he?, not to mention a few goals.cant ask more from a right winger can you?
Can't run, won't run. Doesn't like getting stuck into a challenge.

I wont be attending tonight meeting.
I have tried everything to get out of this coaching course, but it has already been paid for and a lift has been sorted out for me, so im afraid there is no getting out of it for me.
I will be there in spirit, and i will have my phone on waiting for a phone call or text message to tell me we have got the good news.
Fingers crossed and all that
dropping like bloody flies

I'll be roaring there in my mates CCG van.
Luton Town Crisis

Aye, bet the fans felt really pleased to have read this today as well, as much as I hate Luton for the crap ground, crap facilities and crap houses you have to walk over to get into the ground you wouldn't wantthis for your weekend:
Statement issued by Kevin Blackwell, Manager; Sam Ellis, Assistant Manager and John Carver, Head Coach, of Luton Town Football Club on Friday January 11
We came to Luton Town Football Club last Spring with a clear mission. It revolved around ambition, adequate investment for growth and the very real promise of a new stadium.
Very quickly we found that Luton Town Football Club did not do what it said on the tin. We have had to generate cash - more than £3 million from the sale of key players - rather than invest it. Our inheritance has ended up including law-suits and FA charges. The Club moved into Administration and we lost ten points. We have ended up managing a squad of players who do not know if they are going to be paid or have a future with the club.
With the support of our fans, our staff and a quite unbelievable response from our players, we have continued to manage under these conditions. We have lost one match out of the last thirteen, and last weekend astounded the football world with the quality and spirit of our display in holding Liverpool to a draw.
It is not our role or intention to blame anybody for the state we are in as a club - but we have to face reality for ourselves. It is now our belief that no possible future scenario for this club can match - in any way, shape or form - what we came here to do. We are therefore announcing that we are leaving Luton Town Football Club.
Ironically, we no longer have contracts that would require us to give notice - but we are acutely aware that to just down tools and walk out would simply add to the short term problems. We will therefore continue to work, under our current basic terms and conditions, for approximately one month - leaving the club after the home game against Bournemouth on February 9. This will enable to the following:
1 It will see us through the Transfer Window. The Administrator's job is to secure the long-term future of the club, and we will work with him to emerge with the strongest possible playing squad after necessary transfer activities.
2 January and February represent the heart of the season. We will continue to manage the playing side of the club, endeavouring to get the best possible results under the circumstances.
3 The Administrator is working on a new ownership structure for the club. This will give both parties some time to identify and recruit the right management for the future.
It is not our intentions to comment further on these matters - either collectively or individually - until after February 9.
Finally, a word for our fans. Managers come and go. Administrators, Directors, Boards and players - they all come and go. A lot of fans can't or don't - and we would like to pay particular tribute to ours. It's been a long time since they have had any kind of sequence of good news. They deserve some success, and our hope is that it comes in the not too distant future. Their support for us during this period of adversity has been astonishing - and when we and the players applaud them at the end of the game, it is with the utmost sincerity.
Thank you
Kevin Blackwell
Sam Ellis
John Carver
