By always means create an atmosphere,  have a few drinks enjoy yourselves even taunt the locals for well you know living in Rochdale. But it becomes a problem with stuff like the below. The plod are clearly on full alert for this one some of whom will be nore than happy to start wacking people with battons.

    Stuff like this

    Or this.

Home office figures show during 2022/23 season only 15 oldham fans were arrested out of a total 2264 football fans.

Again only 8 was for violent disorder. In the grand scheme of things that suggest the AWAYDAYZBOYZ ain't as bad as some would have us believe.

A big problem with fitness is how much of the ball do we have in a game  ,

a lot of the teams we play keep possession well but as soon as we win it we huff it up to the front 2 and lose it. Start the tiring treadmill mill again to win it back.

No team can do 60 mins like that never mind 90.

We have nobody who is comfortable on the ball in midfield , none of our forwards (maybe Fondop) are good at holding it up.

their No 9 Effiong held it up really well yesterday that allows their midfield to support the forwards. The other problem is we have nobody in midfield who can break forward into their box and threaten. When our midfielders score it’s usually a 30 yard screamer , they’re sat too deep which then forces Norwood to  come back looking for it. All our problems stem from midfield , we have good strikers for this division and decent defenders in Kitchin, Hogan & Hobson we need a complete overhaul in the middle.

Absolutely 100%. It's the fact we don't have the ball,  chasing it whilst the other side simply pass it around.

Green fires in a great goal,  torments his defender one game in ten (well one half). The other nine doesn't retain the ball nor defends his space. Dickenson can't last 90 mins. Sheron huffs and puffs putting in 2 tackles per match mainly standing off his man in a backward motion, then either passing backwards or to the opposition. Shelton stands off, stands off stands off deeper and deeper, why is he even here?.

    That's the starting point.

Well after that I'm not arsed at getting a Alty ticket, Green and Dickenson were awful, special mention to the "fans" who booed Shelton onto the pitch again, at least we looked better when he came on. It is a bit of a blessing that I am not going to the next few games, for me Thompson doesn't get the gig.

At least ST tried to mix it up to affect the game. Unfortunately unorthodox changes seldom work.

The simple fact is,  these players aren't good enough. Nor is ST.

Every game we can't transition the lines nor can we disrupt the opposition from passing through us and breaking our lines into acres of space. Hence we go ever deeper.

Pretty much like every town centre of a weekend. It's been ever thus.

After the way our fans behaved at the end at Chesterfield then its no surprise we are not getting anymore tickets. The plod won't want it personally am quite glad I'm not going it will be full of day tripping coked up AWAYDAYZBOYZ who the plod will be only too willing to start weilding batons on.

Also slightly dissapointed it's not on tv when you consider it will be probably be the biggest Derby in the division.

Not condoning plod welding batons but the bulk of the AWAYDAYZBOYZ will be the ones making it a cracking atmosphere. If it goes to form it won't be the team creating it.

I’m not sure where this garbage about the main stand won’t like this and the main stand won’t like that. I’m in the main stand and I’ve spent years in the Chaddy, Lookers/North Stand and the Rochdale Rd end and they’re generally all the same in my experience. There are sensible people and gobshites littered around the ground everywhere ….

    Absolutely

I feel the same, that's why I'd prefer us to go for Williamson or as someone else has suggested Stuart Maynard at Wealdstone, both are punching way above their weight but you can see from their interviews what they are all about and the football they want to play, I keep reading the Main Stand won't like the way Williamson likes to play it out from the back or his possession based style but I'm going to call that out as complete and utter bollocks as we've never really witnessed any manager attempting to play like that at BP.

Main stand or any stand at BP will like a style of play that's winning and flying high in the league. Good flowing entertaining football on top would be the huge cherry on the cake.

  8. For Latics to get an experienced manager currently then surely said experienced man/woman (bugs me this political correct shite) would have failed somewhere at least once. I know it's possible that this experienced manager could come from the NL, but for me I'd want experienced higher up the ladder.

So a young upwardly moving manager,  providing good football for me.

  9. After 4 games there's no chance anyone knows whether ST is the man.  Even given his points haul is good due to the poor sides played. Let's face it even in those games we haven't been brilliant. The odd passage of decent play and some good finishes that's it.

I always have nagging doubts about taking on a manager who were part of the team that's done shocking bad.

  10. Again like everyone else I don't know the circumstances. Maybe the birth was early and hence the short term contract was up to around the birth.  Who knows.

However, the side needs a right back of sorts. I think it's safe to say at best we finish below 3rd and in the playoffs. So we need to make sure that's exactly what we do.

Bloody hell Damian, not seen you on here in ages. Some of the original posters, Whiteonblue, LookersCarl, Beardy, Lancylad wonder what they are all up to.

TGOBM, granted that was back in the JKLatics days, but he/she had plenty knowledge and quite witty with it. Some were of the opinion it was none other than Alan Hardy given his ITK knowledge, I wasn't so sure myself. I wonder if that person is still alive.
