  1. Are we fit enough? Or too many of our side been out the game too long with injury records?.

The reason I ask this is the fact every game we appear to ease up and or drop too deep and the opposition take control of the ball.

It's OK providing a side is water tight at the back whilst have the quality up top to score most of the limited chances this brings.

It worked out yesterday and even bagged 2 addition time goals.

Agree with most of this - a couple of further thoughts:

Hudson - not much to do but another clean sheet is always good. His kicking needs some work though.

Norwood - looked very ‘rusty’ and had a number of poor touches but pleased that he got his goal.

Yes,  deep into the second half Norwood was clearly frustrated. I think it was more generated with some of his missed ( or poor attempts by his standard ) opportunities to score.  So defo  a good job he got his late goal.

Awkward half for the Green bashers. Probably MOTM already.. 🔥

Not awkward for me.  First half green was the best I've seen of him.  They couldn't live with him and by a country mile our best threat.

Quiet again second half but the whole team sat back for the bulk of it.

Green has set his benchmark first half and needs to live up to that now.

First half that was Latics best showing this season.  Second half not so.

I don’t mind Sheron (does my head in when they call him Shez though), but I think he should be a squad player, playing 15/20 games a season at most, covering for injuries and suspensions.

For those who remember him, I think of him as a Gary Hoolickin type player. Never a regular, but a great attitude and ended up playing a good few games over the years, and never let us down.

To go up I think we need an upgrade on Sheron, but no problem with his contract as you need players like that around the squad and he’ll always do a job when needed.

Gary ain't too bad at fitting kitchens either.

Don't think it's even a modern football thing. Some people just expect footballers to charge around like Paul Warne all match. Not every player is like that, especially strikers.

He showed exactly what he brings to the table tonight.

Let's have you season goals prediction. I'll give you less than 10.

The best teams defend from the front, end of.

  6. Party pooper here going off these posts. We weren't great and they can't shoot.

I'll take the win.  Same script for me,  lost control of the game after 20 mins then york passed it round our midfield Green isn't good enough full stop. Did zero after 20 mins.

Sheron put himself about a bit. Nuttall plays at closing down, always does it jogging and never actually challenging. Sorry guys, this side is way off at the moment.

I see Chesterfield won their basketball game again!!.

Anyway,  a win is a win and out of the relegation spots replaced by tonight's opponents.

  7. Unfortunately he had to go. Once the dust settles he'll realise it was also for the best health wise for him, He was down, broken and clearly distressed in that last interview.

Take a break DU repair yourself and find yourself a backseat coaching role somewhere or leave football for good. I think he was a decent bloke and took and tried the wrong job for him.

Frank and the board must also repair themselves because have no doubt, they've took a beating so far this season.

I wont be there Tuesday (working away all this week), I hope the side get great backing from the stands their confidence will be rock bottom.

He's still better than Shelton with no hamstrings and feet for that matter.

As for the latest bullshit about illness in the week, why has he named ill players on the bench and left a perfectly fit Alex Reid at home. Figure that out.

I wouldn't rely on Alex Reid to bail us out either. He's not that good.
