Was it just me that never really looked into the National League whilst Latics were in the EFL? and hence know very little about the likes of Tshimanga.

Had to look this lad up and his stats. Doesn't seem all that, that said I know nowt about him.

Read the entire thread, Of course everyone is right with their 'entrenched can't see the others views' but in reality they can!!. Happy with 3 points and new play off place, but we were shit 2nd half.
That covers it.

It's a win, but christ never in it 2nd half

Still have mine, but the sponsor is Bovis. Glasgow Celtic had one remarkably similar.

I believe a guy from an Australian team passed away yesterday. It's not surprising it's a tough task.

Full backs love scoring against us

Is the Swindon manager Mike Flynn the former Latics player from the late 1980s?
He's this week signed a new contract...I hope the ink is dry

At just 1 nil...we are still in it. We need to up the performance

In the old days we could always console ourselves we were robbed without VTR evidence to dispel it, which was great. Now we just get evidence the decision is open to subjective decisions.......so what was better?

I see City's Matty Warhurst, from Stalybridge, is in the England U-17 squad. Anyone know if he's related to Paul?
No relation at all, I was his Dad's best man. Matts older brother was also a good footballer. Matty was at oldham prior to joining City. I believe we got a drop for his development.

Gorton was some keeper for sure. I wonder what he did with his life?
This signing of Dan seems an odd one to me given what we are crying out for.

Predicting the score is a complete lottery. So providing Alty miss their chances (cos every side we play get plenty) I am going 2 1 Latics.

The sobering thought for me is that as bad as we were, I cannot remember a game where we have been anywhere near as good and as dominant as Fylde were on Tuesday night!
They didn’t just beat us they absolutely murdered us and were so much better than us all over the pitch!
If we really have what has been described as a very decent squad I really don’t know how that could possibly happen.
We may well have more talented players (off performances we don't know that for sure), what we can certainly say is, we have a squad unwilling or uncapable of leaving it all out there on the pitch. The other possibility is they are leaving it all out there on the pitch it what they perceive is their own position, hence not for the team.

What's it got to do with Barry Owen? It wasn't even a thread he was mentioned in. It was regarding Ian Moore celebrating his goal!!!!
Sealioning I don't even know what that is.
Some on this board defo have that Mandela thing ( and yes I even had to look up what that meant )
And I talk shite!!!
EDIT: No one is your enemy, least of all me. You choose to reply to one of my posts, I didn't understand it. If I had, I'd have a chance to reply back.

I wish I could understand what you’re talking about sometimes.
I actually understood that one. Pity Monty didn't reply the other day when I completely didn't.

The dust has settled and I've read all the comments.
First, the match. We got thumped by Fylde who simply out ran, out muscled and just wanted it far more. Our players are too weak, too small and too slow without the required heart to over come their ability shortfall.
I think Shelton needs the door but he wasn't anywhere near the worst last night. Hogan needs calling into the office today and being told in no uncertain terms as captain he has responsibilities. First to be the gaffers leader on the pitch getting into the players ears when required, geeing up when heads go down and leading by example. The example getting the second yellow after whinging (again) to the officials due to being bullied is not leading. If he can't do it hand in the armband.
Green needs telling if he doesn't up his effort, he's out. Scoring a goal is not his only role and will not save him the chop. He's weak and a poser. Sheron I think does try and maybe he's excelling above his ability in which case needs replacing with a better standard player. Will Sutton is being done week in week out, get him out the firing line and certainly away from RB, he too slow for that.
Both keepers are not good enough. Nothing more to add on them. Kitching has been our most effective crosser of the ball or our out ball. he wasn't great last night and if he's to keep getting forward to cross then midfield need to cover or one of Hobson and Hogan need to shuffle across and fill the void for the ball over the top in the space he's left.
Tollitt lost the ball on each occasion he touched after coming on last night and the odd worldy he produces is not enough to save him the chop due to his poor work rate as team member.
Once the forwards are provided some quality service creating chances or half chances we can dissect their performances on the jobs they are primarily employed for. However I'll say it now Nuttall will not cut it.
We are too slow, too small to compete in the National League. Even during the 8 game run that was still evident. Like I posted pre last night we rely on the opposition missing their chances every game. Not the place to be.
Over to MM and the board to manage the ship outs and capable players in, because that's what is required. Who agree's with that lot?

I vote go unchanged today and Saturday (injuries permitting) and then give them a few days off and rest them for the Newport game...
I'd get Will Sutton out for now. Gets done every time even against moderate pace. Where as Kitching goes missing after marauding forward usually.
