  1. I voted Southend cos they're almost the lesser of four evils if you know what I mean.

Like Leeds are just dirty and deserve to stay down, Donny have Wellens and should stay and Forest are just Forest, therefore leaving Southend ^_^

<------ oooooh I'm Les Pogliacomi now :chubb:

  2. Back onto the subject of Constantine, I'd be glad if we could extend his loan because he's a good influence on the younger players in the team. Example during the Hudds match, Taylor overhit the ball and Constantine was unable to run onto it and instead of berating him, Constantine just told him to keep his chin up. I know it was only a small thing but that kind of positivity can easily give the younger ones a bit of a confidence boost

  3. Yes,let's suppress all kinds of individual thought. We will end up with a sanitized forum with one strict view of life and no visiting fans to provide any lighter moments or opposite viewpoints.

Stop exaggerating! People are only moaning about the sheer amount of "Shez Out" threads we're having because it's getting mind-numbingly boring

  4. Apparently it goes like this:

Hilstones top man holds the key to our future stadium plans regarding sale of land and property developers etc.

Well the rumour goes they aren’t doing so well and aren’t interested, so no cash to bring the dream true!

Our three Owners are downbeat and not willing to cover the losses anymore and are set to leave.

Its been going about a few weeks now cant believe nobody else has heard it?

I've heard about Hillstones going bust but not the rest of it :S

  5. Schmeichal - DID HE SIGN?

Constantine - LEEDS IS IN YORKSHIRE LAST TIME I LOOKED, AND SHEZ USED TO PLAY THERE.

Macca - HE WAS ALREADY ON RM LIST TO BRING IN

Bertrand - OBVIOUSLY HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE PHILISKIRK DEAL

Cywka - HE STAYED 3 WEEKS, AND SHEZ NEVER PLAYED HIM (WHAT A WASTE THAT WAS)

Kilkenny - ALREADY HAD A AFFINITY WITH THE CLUB FROM LAST TIME, AND HE DID A NUMBER ON SHEZ

And your point is.... We can look at his other transfers if you like???

Whether the players mentioned played regularly or even signed in the first place is irrelavent. Point being, Shez obviously looked in more than one place for all these players. And please do look at other transfers, it'll only further discredit your statement.

  6. * I am seeing a managger who clearly has no wider contacts within the game (from a transfer prospective)

I'm getting sick of this :censored: that Shez only has contacts from Sheff Wed

Where did we get Macca from? Kilmarnock

    Roque from last season? Liverpool

    Beresford? Luton

    Bertrand? Chelsea

    Kilkenny from? Birmingham

    Cywka last season? Wigan

Where did we try and get Schmeichal from? Man City

    Where's Livermore from? Hull

    Constantine? Leeds....

The list goes on! I've only named 9 players that Shez has either brought in or attempted to bring in since he took charge and thats no where near the half of it! So I'd say that Shez has managed to cover quite a lot of ground from a 'transfer prospective'

  7. Just got back in from the Luton match and we had a shocker in the first half. Second we picked it up and played quite well but I do feel sorry for O'Donnell because the 3 goals were in no way his fault and it's not the best scoreline to mark your league debut is it? I mean the first goal was just a good shot, second was a penalty and there wasn't really much he could do and the third was all Eardley's fault and went in off the post anyway. He did make come cracking saves as well.

Deane Smalley was my MOM though, he won headers, he chased the ball and he passed to other Oldham players, unlike Taylor and Eardley. And I must say, even Thommo did quite well when he came on so no complaints were he comes into it.

  8. No need for words like that, not now this is the official message board.

Do you honestly beleive anything good can come of getting rid of the mascot?

I have very fond memories of a child being taken to matches at Boundary Park and back when I had no idea what was going on on the pitch, Chaddy was easily the highlight. I used to love taking part in PE in primary school with my Chaddy the Owl t shirt and I've had my Chaddy teddy since before I can remember. As such, I can't contemplate even suggesting taking that away from the hundreds of kids out there who idolise him.

Apart from that, I just have to say that it's such a shame that Wayne isn't gonna be Chaddy anymore. Carlisle away last season, Chaddy/Wayne poking the less than amused looking stewards with the corner flag. Anybody else remember that?

  9. First off, that baby is unbeleivably cute :)

Second, I have a cousin who grew up as a United fan (his dad supports them) but he always wanted to see live football so me and me dad started taking him to Latics. But gradually his opinions changed cos it started out as "I support United but I want to see live football" and now it's "I'm Oldham til I die" and "I'm gonna get me dad to support a proper team"

  10. Yup I'll be going, only down the road from me and I'm payin me father in cos it's on his birthday.

We better win though cos there's a girl in my history class who says she's a Luton fan, you know, one of them fans who say they support a team but know f*** all about football  she annoys the hell out of me

  11. I think in regards to Stam he should be given one more year. I know he's not been playing brilliantly recently but look at what happened last year when a fair few of our players lost form towards the end of the season after appearing from the very start.

What I'm trying to say is that this wasn't the case with Stam and you have to bear in mind that he was thrust back into the side, maybe a bit too early, because Hazell picked up a knock and if I remember rightly this was a very short time after he got back from Amsterdam when injured.

I just think he atleast deserves one more crack next season after pre-season training and hopefully, not getting interrupted by injury and if he doesn't improve then get rid.
