  1. You know what, I'm not even worried about not making a play off spot. There's only 6 points between us and those places and as it's been said, if Shez brings in the right faces, we can do it.

And I could just be being naive or slightly over-optimistic here but only a really stupid, foolish manager would place a bid for KK and not look at any other options in the hope that we would get him, so I don't doubt for a second that Shez has something lined up.

I mean think about it, we're merely fans and even people on here have lined up a couple of replacements ala Cywka and whoever else, so I just don't see the point in worrying about the whole KK thing.

Basically what I'm trying to say is, we'll be reet :) KTF

  2. Good album, but their old stuff is better

My favourite is probably Foo Fighters - Echoes Silence Patience and Grace, but also enjoy Libertad by Velvet Revolver and An End Has A Start by Editors.

Same but I did think The Blackening was a quality album.

Opening line to 'A Beautiful Mourning' was absolute quality

Weren't too keen on Libertad but I was a huge fan of Contraband when that came out. Foo Fighters was a good album, shame I didn't see them live this time round but I saw them at the MEN when In Your Honour was released and I swear to god, Dave Grohl looked at me, but it might just have been wishful thinking ^_^

  3. The OWTB Stadium.

The RWC Stadium (rarely wrong Chron).

The CPP Stadium (Clayton Park Pies).

Like the idea of the OWTB Stadium

But it just makes me think that we should well all chip in and sponser something in the new stadium, don't know what though. After all, a lot of people on here did put a lot of effort in with organising the march and e-mailing councillers and whatever so this new stadium could be brought about in the first place...

  4. Clearly Gregan should retire with immediate effect, as he has absolutely no future whatsoever at Boundary Park.

He is without doubt 4th (unless Holness and Pearson are also above him in the pecking order) choice Centre Half and has no ability or qualities to speak of.

Given his impending retirement he needs to be stripped of the captaincy without delay.

I just hope Stam stays fit as he is by my reckoning overdue a long term injury and Hazell only has a contract until the end of the season, this could leave us short of cover with just Trotman.

    But hey, thats life.

lol you're as bad as me for exaggerating

  5. We also saw on Saturday in the first minute when we could and probably should have been 1-0 down that our current centre halfs can make mistakes that can lead to the concession of goals.

That was one silly mistake. The centre halfs then raised their game and as a result, Crewe never even looked like scoring! And the results speak for themselves, we've conceded less goals since Gregan was out!

  6. you mean like ruuuuuuubes or trottman?

why put a player in to do one job that another player can already do and a lot lot more and doesnt affect the rest of the team with his whingeing and deluded self importance?

    I agree ^_^

And I know this was a pointless post, I just wanted to make it to 200

  7. At what point was it deemed necessary to be a speed merchant when playing at Centre Half.

I personally prefer someone there who wins the vast majority of headers, therefore cutting out alot of the danger at source.

Some of the best centre halfs in world football have not been whippets.

Yeah but we've already seen that Trotman and Hazell win the majority, if not all, the headers

  8. Will he be able to get back in the side what with Stammy, Trotman and Hazell doing so well?

Will he throw a hissy fit if he doesn't?

Personally I think he'll have to try bloody hard to get back in and to be honest, I can see him kicking up a fuss about it...

    What does everyone else reckon?

  9. Gregan and Trotman for me. Harsh on Hazell and Stam I know, but they'll both get their chances. As I've said elsewhere, Stam has been playing very well but he still makes (at least) one dreadful mistake a game.

Nah. Not trying to knock Gregans ability here but not only have we conceded less goals since he's been out but I hardly think it a coincedence that everyone else has started performing better since he was injured, so it's Stam and Trotman / Hazell for me

  10. Ah, got it. I have a scheme for Crouch, I am going to surgically remove his chest and re-attached it to the top of his head. His chest control is awesome, but I swear there are people in Far Eastern syndicates running odds on what way the ball is going to go when it hits his head. You can't fault him for effort though, he looked shagged at the end.

    I miss his robot dance...

  11. I was with you to the final bit Ms Banana - Beckham has missed more penalties for England than anyone else in history. He was only allowed to keep taking them because he was captain and the headline boy. Gerrard was utter crap last night though. Anyone else see that moment after about 80 minutes when he actually had the ball (!), ran 5 yards, and just randomly kicked it at an opposition player? Both him and Gerrard like it at club level, where the teams are built around them. Neither has the desire (I think they both have the ability, but that's not enough) to adapt to being just one of 11.

What I meant was that I have no faith in Frank Lampard at all and that because, in my opinion, Crouch and Beckham were our two best players last night, I would have prefferred to see those them both on the score sheet rather than Crouch and Lampard.
