  1. Leicester for me as well - new ground, close to home, and I work with Leicester fans just down the road at Bardon.

In the meantime I'll have to make do with the reserves away to Leicester on 23rd April (at Hinckley Utd)

Nah I want Leicester to stay up purely because Ian Holloway is their manager. I think he's absolutely brilliant!

  2. You mean the run of many draws that has seen us move nowhere?

Shez must have had over 300k to play with yesterday and we signed 2 loanees???? Proof is in the pudding.

I am a big shez fan dont get me wrong. The other side of the coin, if we are saying we cant compete on fees and salary, why dont we seem to reward the kids we have with mens wages?, maybe they would be happy to stay?

I am not complaining just being realistic. The added preassure off play off talk just puts pressure on the young players we have, hence the poor home form.

You can't hold the fact that we only have 2 loanees against Shez. News on the official website tells you that we tried to get more than that, and I'm sure Shez tried to get more players than the 4 we know about. So if people choose not to come here, I really don't see how you can hold it against the manager.

  3. I'm sure they did, and should he show any potential he'll be back there or in the championship on loan next season and we'll be in the same position we're in now. Waste of time.

Stop being so negative! You never know, he might show his potential, bang in a load of goals, we go surging up the table and then he ends up back in the Championship next season with us

Yes I know thats wishful thinking but it's better than putting a downer on it...

  4. Sheridan is at best a half decent coach. I normally sit in the Chaddy but today sat a few rows behind the dug-out. The guy is clueless, no tactical awareness and no idea of how to change things when they are clearly going wrong. He was a great player to watch but he is not intelligent enough to be a manager. Too many players out of position. His monotone manc accent nearly sends me to sleep when he gives his interviews, so god knows how he motivates the players. We cant attract the players, so i doubt we would be able to attract a better manager. I have accepted that we'll be stuck in this division until our luck changes. We have some great young players coming through and with the new stadium things will get better. We'll just keep on treading water until then.

He's in his second full season as a manager! Give the guy a bloody break! You find me a manager who gets instant success in his second season while trying to build his own team. Yes, I accept Shez has made mistakes but find someone who hasn't!

And I think you're being a bit too harsh taking it out on the way he talks. I mean what has that got to do with ANYTHING? Seriously?

  5. QPR was a pretty crappy drive home. I was just dissappointed but my dad was incredibly peed off. Didn't want to say anything to him while we were in the car incase he went off on one.

Worst drive home this season was Leeds at home. Bear in mind it takes me over 2 hours to get home from BP these days. I just felt gutted that we'd been robbed. And cos it was dirty Leeds.

  6. Us in the Upper tried our hardest today but all we got was smiles(well tried but don't bother),can't wait for Yeovil AWAY

It bugs me that hardly anybody tries in the Lookers Upper. I sit just past the half way line closest to the Chaddy End and it's dead there, which is why I don't join in with the chanting cos it's feels so intimidating!

So I have to spend the matches listening to THE most annoying woman sat behind me, who has the wieniest voice, saying stuff like "oh fiddlesticks" and "he's terrible that bumber 24" and "number 6 isn't having a good game"

  7. where does smalley fit in, getting better every game and played well against everton.

i personallywould leave things exactly as they were saturday

    Same here.

It'd knock you're confidence a fair bit to be in the winning side against Everton and then straight away be dropped against Brighton, if it were me I'd be well gutted!

  8. They all remind me of other clubs except for the black one, which isn't even that nice.

I was horrified when I saw that Chelsea's away kit was gonna be fluorescent yellow, now I have to contemplate the idea that we might be having it as well

Nah I say stick with the tangerine kit but if thats really not an option, then atleast try and get something more original.

  9. We had a comedien on in the pub before the game....courtesy of Carl Spiers' excellent organisation. Some Everton fans were knocking about, none gave any abuse at all. Always had a soft spot for them and I hope they have plenty of success for the rest of the season.

Same. If I had to support any Merseyside team it'd be Everton.

Think my soft sport for them is cos my GCSE history teacher was an Everton fan and never went through a lesson without mentioning them

  10. This might just be from my experience but the Everton fans were possibly the nicest opposition fans I've met.

Me and everyone else I was with had to walk back to the car amongst the Everton fans and on about 5 seperate occasions, some of them just stopped when they noticed that me and my cousin had Oldham shirts on and promptly walked over to congratulate us on a superb win and none of them showed any bitterness towards us, whereas fans of other clubs would have grasped the oppertunity to shout abuse at us.

  11. Like it's been said on here, every single one of them played absolutely brilliantly, but I think Hazell would be my MOTM.

Special mention to Lomax though cos it must take quite a player to come back from playing League Two football, be a benchwarmer for a couple of matches and then straight away go on to play a blinder against a Premier League squad

  12. Lol.....you meet glory seekers all the time who agree that they are then, do you? And....actually, it wasn't a case of disagreeing with Cecere....he said he wasn't going to them games because he didn't see them as attractive enough for him....that, IMO!!! puts him the category of glory seeker....my opinion, like it or not....if he wishes to disagree on that, so be it. The difference of opinion comes after!

What has people agreeing to being glory seekers got to do with ANYTHING?!

And cecere said he went to the Crewe match! So he's not a glory seeker!

This arguement has gotten stupid now so I'm off.

    Nighty night

  13. Erm....I don't need to re-read it. MY OPINION is that anyone who does that is a glory seeker....or am I not allowed my opinion on what is a glory seeker and who falls into that category? Nope...thought not....

Listen mate, you replied to my post insinuating that I had said someone who does that isn't a glory seeker which I didn't, thus leading me to tell you to re-read my post.

Now your insinuating that I've said you're opinion isn't allowed!

I just don't understand where all that came from and how you can possibly pick an arguement with me when all I said was that difference of opinion does not make a glory seeker - which it doesnt!

  14. No....don't think it's unfair one bit! So not going at home to a supposedly "unattractive game" vs Crewe and Donny in rounds 1 and 2 but then somehow magicking up the time and effort to get to Everton ain't glory seeking? I'll await your reply on what is glory seeking then....

    eh?

You might wanna re-read my post cos what I said was that you can't accuse ghostofcecere of being a glory seeker because he has a different opinion to you...

  15. Do I? I have a predicition....after not bothering at home in the cup so far, you'll be there tomorrow with ticket in hand! Despite the :censored: you were spouting on this board over the Crewe and Donny FA Cup games! Takes two pal!

I know I shouldn't really be getting involved in this little spat but do you not think it's a tad unfair to accuse someone of being one of those glory seeking fans just because they have a different opinion to you?

Besides, it's not really relevent to your arguement anyway...
