  1. If we keep the players we want besides Taylor who looks gone, I would look at Bunn and Brown on loan for the season, a new LB, a striker 2 if Bunn doesn't sign and/or we can afford it, a centre back if Diamond goes or Brown doesn't come back, a new CM two if Furman or Wes leave. Maybe a winger if their is room in the budget or we get rid of KMB.

  2. This type of thread kind of sums up Oldham fans, and perhaps many other football fans also. ST holders still had a bigger saving than those who paid on the day every game, even with the GT. Compensation was muted but never confirmed, the club is on its arse and losing money quicker than Charlie Sheen on a bender, the prices for next season's ST has been frozen even though the cost of running the club has gone up. Corney should thanked for keeping the club afloat not barracked for not rewarding those who aren't bothered about a reward.

  3. A loss and we're still in trouble IMO, Sheff Wed could be a play-off side then and field a weakened team giving Wycombe a chance. A draw or a win will be enough to see us through, if it were me I'd invite them onto us. We're struggling to break teams down so why not make them commit men forward, Sheffield Wedesday scored all three based on counter attacking us, Charlton got the winner with the same concept. Teams have found all ready they can sit back in their own half and we will send everyone but three forward, one good ball from defence and we're in the :censored:. Force the oppo to come at us and hit them on the break, when on the ball and no room to open the defence just pass short. Keep the ball move it from wing to wing, tire them out but keep the shape of the side.

  4. i'm not saying where this has come from for obvious reasons, but....

the players have no respect for Taggart but seem to have a lot for "The Gaffer" but he needs help on the coaching side (whether this means more/new coaches or he's no good at it I'm not sure)

certain players have no confidence in our forwards and are reluctant to give the ball to them! they themselves don't see where the next goal is coming from.

we have some players who, surprisingly, really do give a :censored: & are passionate and I think with a bit of restructuring of the staff (and avoiding relegation) the future could be bright.

If this true then I can see Dickov leaving either by his own wish or the club's, Paul Simpson at Rochdale had a similar situation. The players went to the board and asked them to get rid of the Assistant, they spoke to Simpson who walked. He hasn't hired the guy since though.

  5. Corney cutting the cost for the last 4 games or preparing the sacking of dickov has he actually come out and defended dickov Mr Corney?

You mean the dreaded vote of confidence? No, he hasn't but I bet Dickov is glad for it, if Corney defends PD the latter will be gone a few weeks later. As for Tom A leaving, Corney said after they got to 50 points he wanted youths to play, well we are 1 win or 2 draws they're clearly confident it can be done without Tom A.

Good player, abit more maturity and confidence he would have been great for us. Wouldn't mind having him back next season, but work on that shooting Tom.

  6. I will give Kuqi his pens.

This is just Goal to appearence % in the league:

    R Reid 29.41%

    S Kuqi 31.42%

    Remember that includes his penalties!

Kuqi has had 31 shots on target in the league this season and has played 35 times!

He's not ever in the box long enough to be effective because he has to come deep to get the ball.

I'm sure we all thank you for including his pens, they do count them in the goalscorer charts. So why wouldn't you?

Point remains Kuqi has been our best striker this season, but of course some will complain and moan about him. If PD dropped from now until the end of the season fans would be asking why he has been singled out.

  7. It's not just Wycombe we are fighting against its also PNE, Bury, Leyton and Walsall none of the teams below us are setting the world alight and Wycombe are struggling for wins while getting points. That won't be enough to catch us and I don't think Leyton will catch us, and one win would be enough, hell two points should do it.

  8. I've been on this site for about five mins today and seen two threads that are proclaiming doom and gloom, this point has been answered loads of times. Ask it again, where is the news?

Corney is waiting until everything is 100%, Corney is waiting until everything is 100%, Corney is waiting until everything is 100%, Corney is waiting until everything is 100% and one more time so no-one asks again Corney is waiting until everything is 100%.

  9. Thinking about it, I reckon this has come from the fact we have only signed one youth player up to a pro deal. That goes to the first team budget not the youth, I also don't know about there being no reserve budget as that is a mixture of first teamers and youth players. I doubt Dickov would be happy if he was told that he can't get his injured players match fit because they were no longer doing reserve matches, it's one thing that hurt Shez in his final season. Also if there was no budget all the youth players would have been released? Doesn't make any sense and seems totally against what Corney said on the radio the other day, about blooding through the youngsters. Also Tony P is a mainstay at the club and well regarded amongst fans and staff, can you really see the club saying to him that he is no longer needed to bring players through? Also does anyone for one moment think that Corney would take away the club's production of future CHEAP players, if anything the budget is more likely to go up and him tell Dickov to use them.

  10. I still think more should be done for the unemployed, and those under 21 should ALL qualify for the intermediary offer. Not just students. Shooting ourselves in the foot there. The £10 is a great offer, and even of I don't get a ST myself, I'll definitely be getting my two a ticket.

I'm unemployed and struggling to find a way to get an ST for next season, same with my brother. I disagree, though, why should we get special treatment for being out of work? I also hope I'm not unemployed all summer, so if I got a job during the summer or anytime during the season it would be even more unfair.

  11. How is it not valid? Not being funny but just curious to see why you think that? I personally think that whilst it may have been a while ago, Royle's tenure was at when we were at a similar position to where were at now. We need to give somebody time and for me Dickov fits the bill at Latics. It's easy to critise after a bad run of form but for me the players have more to blame than Paul himself.

Because it doesn't suit his argument

  12. I don't either, but some of the other choice chants deemed bordeline or crossing it, don't seem to racist, and it's these chants also, that are being highlighted as inappropriate

Where’s the :censored: with the bell West Ham fans at Fratton Park

    =

F off back to Guildford Pompey fans to Man Utd fans at Fratton Park

    =

The famines over why don’t you F off home Rangers fans to Celtic fans

    =

You’re just a small town in Asia Forest fans to Leicester fans

    =

You’re just a town full of pakis in Oldham

    =

Hitting scummers with a brick, Pompey fans their abusive term for Southampton supporters.

That for me crosses the line, but in the comments in the article some say that arse Liam Stacy has been unfairly treated.
