The club have done charity events like the game a few years back later on. Even a bucket collection amongst fans. 

Sure if if they had Been something sooner or a more local game and something like this has happened I suggested it then. 

Not suprised if this was thrown in as part of the Stott deal to get him to back us early from his loan spell.

Each to there own some thing IMO are bigger than football if we are playing them let's use it for a good cause and turn it into something positive.

Going back to the talk the other day about a FC United v Oldham friendly maybe if it happens the money could be used for the families effected from Yesterday attack.

Was told by two people last week a game had been lined up for a Tuesday night. Then heard it was on there website and took down.

Someone else now saying on Facebook it's been cancelled because FC went public about it.

Anyone remember Demar Phillips playing against Grimsby for Oldham in. A friendly 2010 I think it was.

Been having another look and found this Peter Beardsley skit quite amusing. Maybe others will to brighten up a foul day. 

 

I met Frank Skinner the night and Peter son was in aid of the Jeff Astle foundation. Skinner had some good stories and loved me talking about the Phoenix from the flames clips.

The event I was at Saturday was in memory of Jeff Astle and other footballers who in years later suffered from Dementia. One of the players in the article and mentioned is Peter Phoenix and his lad came talking to us on Saturday.

Anyone else here remember this player looking at Wiki seems like most of his career was spent at Latics.

still read Forest Green sent him back out on loan.

Seen as Forest Green won promotion, when they signed him do you reckon we been smart enough to throw in some sort of payments clause during the deal should they win promotion?

Not sure when we're planning to rip the pitch up (if we do that at all these days) but if previous issues have been overcome and that game is at Boundary Park, it could possibly be a hint at next season.

They could revamp the competition play the first round on the final week of July as curtain raiser to the new season.

Replaces a pre season friendly, generates interest, cheap admission also give the winners a reward with a bye till round 3 of the FA cup.

Did one of there players not have a serious injury last time we played Curzon & was LJ not critical of there pitch?

Saying that when working on a deal to get Stott back on loan that could of been one of the terms.

Bamber Bridge be good like Mark mentioned like with Fylde last year new grounds always appeal to few.

Last summer me and OWTB member Fent spoke with Corney was day after the Fylde game and did say a pre tour had been looked at.

At his last meet the manager did ask Robbo would he consider a tour of Northern Ireland his words where it's worth exploring.

I be happy with Another tour of Scotland me. 

Before he left last summer Shez did mention Fylde who we did play. But Sheff Weds which wouldn't suprise me. Maybe Leeds another of his former clubs or Boro as part of the Ripley deal.

All EFL games now available to stream via a subscription service for those overseas.

This is good amount of groundhoppers who have come to Latics and messaged us asking if i know of any streams.

Just read on Facebook his ashes where today scattered at Boundary Park fitting tribute for the lad.

11 from Frankfurt & the lad from Detriot been over for 2 weeks been a top weekend 3 games watched.
