I don't bet but if I did, I would be betting against my own team, which is absolutely criminal and yet completely sensible. Unless he comes up with nothing short of a footballing miracle, the outcome is already set in stone.

I do it quite a lot - its like insurance against losing.

We are 13/10 (Bet365), Bromley are 19/10 with the draw at 21/10.  So we are favourites - based on recent form that is absolutely ridiculous and definitively NOT worth a bet!

As I live in Bromley and have a Bromley season ticket, I always have a £5 Bromley/Latics double. Hasn't come in once this season!

I'd lump on them at 19/10!

    Because they haven't had a pre-season ?

I hate this they haven’t had a pre season bollocks. We’ve been trotting it out for our own players for years and now whenever we sign someone. Players should be looking after themselves and if they haven’t we shouldn’t be signing them. We have had ample time to plan and recruit for this season so if players are unfit it’s down to the management.

We’re certainly more competitive than when he first took over, at the very least we stay in games and don’t roll over as quickly, but equally we never seem to dominate. We just stay in the game, sometimes they get a goal, sometimes we do. As many others have said I want a far better tempo and intent in our game. (No matter how he set us up)

So we should be though - he’s made countless signings and it hasn’t got much better than when Shez left. That said I think he deserves more time. Things have to improve soon though or this seasons optimism will be wasted.

I can’t speak for other fans, but I would be happy for DU to go tomorrow. But if we was sitting nicely in the play offs, I’d happily shut up. That’s clearly his target with the outside chance of competing at the top.

So you’re literally basing your opinion on a managerial change on one game v Halifax as if we’d won that we’d be in the playoff places.

Seems a bit young to be doing that at 24.
Perhaps he’s realised he’s not quite good enough for the Prem?

May have gone for the money or maybe the lifestyle.

He was definitely one of our best loanees ever and good luck to him.

Most goals in our history for a player with less than 25 appearances

Edit: I have watched both Chesterfield games and Saturday's Barnet and Southend games.

BP's love in of Berry is justified, but only to the point that he keeps hold of the ball instead of passing when others are in great positions. He then invariably loses it.

Grigg is like a slow Joe Nuttall. (The older version of last week/season).

Colcloughi s their danger man but goes AWOL for large periods.

Dorking opened them up several times and on another day, could have scored 10.

Fylde didn't have as much guile, but were more than a match for them.

Out of the three "contenders", Barnet are the ones to be wary of.

Bright and quick and very sharp crisp passing although they do not appear to have depth.

Substitutions markedly interrupted their flow. Injuries could scupper them.

Southend looked tired after half time against Dagenham. Almost as if the adrenaline was wearing off. Although one of the subs scored another worldie at the death.

If/when Bridge goes, so do Southend.

If he stays, they will be there or thereabouts.

If we maintain Saturday's style and  performance, we should beat anyone.

If we show up like we did at Southend, Dorking and Bromley are nailed on for three points.

Wonder if we've looked at Bridge?

Starting to feel a little bit underwhelmed by our summer transfer activity

We had a great start to the summer but then it feels like we have taken our foot off the gas a bit because it's been ages since the last signing

And midfield creativity and RB that were issues last season don't look to have been resolved

Feels to me a bit like we put ourselves in a great position and then relaxed a bit

Did our business early barring a right back and maybe 2 more. It's not about keeping fans entertained with signings every week!
