True but I don't think that contradicts what I said? My point was that, so long as you're in front of the ball when played, the direction it is played in makes no difference to your being in an offside position or not.

It was the first game of the season against a good side who as you said are promotion candidates. We had a goal disallowed (arguably a perfectly good goal) so in effect the score was 2-1 in the sense that we got a goal that was onside or only millimetres offside. I'd say montano wasn't quite fully fit or just not up for it. He will hopefully get better so I can live with that after only seeing him for 70mins. We can still bring in players so assuming we get some players in, our team will get better. After saying all that I think we can get a few good result and comfortably finish mid-table. We still have 45 league games to go so yeah, I can cope with losing 2-0 to Franchise.

Crazy to try to say from that angle. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the guy who is literally paid to be able to see close offsides, and who was in the best position in the entire stadium to see it from was probably right ;-)

Anyone can make mistakes but you're probably right.

Won't be surprised I he does a 'Lee' when his contract runs out.

Theres a defender on the line in that pic that is clearly playing him on.

Because the goalkeeper isn't in his goal a 2nd defender is needed so basically that defender is acting as the goalkeeper in terms of offside.

Jealous of a team that has a chance of winning the league? The best stadium in the league? I higher attendance than you? Better youth team? More money? A better chairman? A better manager? More media attention? Future is bright for us, unlike you.

So you basically buy your way into the league, on the note of the higher attendance, you get 2 major premier league sides 30 minutes away and come back with your attendances. Give us £50m to spend on a stadium and I'm sure we'd have one of the best in the league. The media attention is because you're a new club with money and are a promotion candidate. Give us some money and we will have promotion chances, better staff, more media attention and a bright future.

Your future may be bright but give some of your history other than the paint pot cup.

Not sure he's good enough to be playing 60-90 minutes yet. Having said that he did seem to look better than Montano for that 20mins he was on for.
