Someone else asked the same question on your forum few weeks ago. I was on my phone when i signed up to your forum and usually i can just write "mattthespireite" in one go but for some reason it came out as "mattthepriseite" and i never bothered checking.

It is mate. You seem to be having the bad luck that we were having up until Xmas,and now we seem to be having all the luck. And like us Town fans have seen this season,when luck goes against you players start losing confidence in their ability and start making mistakes. Its very difficult when you cant buy a win for love nor money.

Sheridan has made some decent signings for us recently which has made us more solid. Our defence and midfield were very poor until new players came in January. We still need a striker though in my opinion if we are to stay up as we just dont have enough goals in the team. As for your team i think a quality striker is all that you need to kick on as you had loads of shots tonight without really causing any problems. Only one day to go though and its not looking good on the striker front for either team. Good luck for the rest of the season.

And the fact we had four new players last night including a proper right back when we had been playing a striker there all season! I think folk are going to see a completely different Chesterfield in the second half of the season, not just because our majority shareholder Dave Allen has opened the cheque book and given Sheridan funds to strengthen,but also if we go down without so much as whimper then Sheridan and his pals will be out on their arses.

When both Chesterfield and Oldham made the area finals i said that it is Sheridans destiny to beat Oldham and get to Wembley. The second leg will be excellent and the team that makes less mistakes in defence is the team that will go to Wembley. We have been poor at the back all season but Sheridan has bought in players this last week or so and,with Trotman part of the rebuilding,have a brand new back four and a brand new centre midfield partnership. For some reason we have saved our best performances for this cup,which pisses me off because i would rather have gained say,9 more points than a trip to Wembley. I expected more from Kuqi to be honest and was worried our defence would struggle but he offered little. Is he going through a bad patch? 5700 odd at the net last night,with you bringing 1200 which is a very good turn out for an away game at night. How many do you expect at BP? I reckon we will take between 1000 and 1200.

Ha ha! That would be absolutely spot on! Although he had a decent game last night to be fair to him. He has been getting grief all season from our fans because he just wont tackle,and then he missed a pen against Exeter a fey weeks ago at 0-0,a game we subsequently went on to lose 2-0. It took some balls to step up and take that pen last night. Good job he scored because had he missed i think he would have got linched after the game!

Im saying i have seen them given,but if it were you who were awarded the pen for the same tackle i think i would be a little pissed. We have had zero luck this season though,and i mean zero. Last night with your missed pen and our "pen" it just seemed that our luck had changed.
