In his LP interview Lee Croft says Jonathan Grounds is his friend and they were away together in Spain in the summer break. Might have helped sway his final decision to join us.

Just reading his book Football It's A Minging Life! A Recommended read. Loved watching him play entertainment at its best. He turned some well known RB's inside out then delivered killer balls into dangerous areas, mainly from the byline.
(If you're the steveoafc I think you might be, no you can't borrow it,. till I get my Neil Redfearn book back. If not apologies)

He must have heard how comfy our treatment couch is.
-
you're not a short bloke with a wonky leg are you ??????
haha no tall with 2 wonky legs.
Does 3D mean anything to you?
-
So i'm gonna have to spend my day off tomorrow twitching ?
From what I've heard of her across the road, you're more likely to spend it itching
-
Torres and Andy Caroll then?!
Seriously though what can we expect? Either a) has beens, B- kids or someone who has c) lost their way a bit, is all we can. Id rather have c) than a) myself
Agree.
Joe Royle made a pretty decent side or two from: c) type players

I don't have LP, so can someone elaborate on what he's on about?
On the face of it it makes no sense at all
1) The only new signings have been untested kids
2) Every other confirmed player was with us last year
3) We have lost a lot of decent players
4) We need a lot more than two big signings to complete even a respectable squad
Although it is quoted below the video on LP. At no point in the LP interview does PD say anything like the attributed quote.
He does say in answer to Gordy's question "Is that the end of the signings"(Grounds) No, no we are light on numbers, we've got 1 more coming in today or before training tomorrow and a few more in the pipeline.
He goes on to say. We want to hit the ground running next season. He's very pleased with the fitness that the boys have returned to training with.
That he's pleased we've managed to keep quality in the squad and add to it and that we've got a few more coming in. Just because we've got a smaller budget doesn't mean we can't do well next year. We are looking at some very good players at the minute that will compliment the ones we've got. goes on to talk about the strong spine of the team .....
That's pretty much it.

Welcome to BP Jonathan.
I think PD is doing a really good job at selling our club to prospective and new signings.
A few more of this calibre will do nicely!
-
I've just bought a lettuce baguette, a diet coke and a massive plate of chips in our canteen. Just to wind up this fat bloke who keeps looking at me!
-
I'd settle for as good as, so if better, I'll be happy!
-
Know who they are but promised to keep schtum I think most will be happy though and IMO a step up from the two that have walked
-
Tell me and I won't tell anyone else, promise. Just write it really small!
-
On a more positive note. Gordy in his interview with DF and MS on OS said he's been told a couple more coming in this afternoon (new players)
-
Finding out who has reported for training has been a perennial problem, even more so now they’re near the allotments. If only someone could prick-out the young seedlings that are to be transplanted into their final positions, and determine those that will grow poorly after transplanting. It needs a hardy expert to spot which will be so slow-growing that, before they reach maturity, the smaller crop will have been harvested.

No such thing as bad spelling just the wrong whether! or is it no such thing as bad weather just the wrong clothes
-
Yo, c.hill12, in your big blue signature thingymibob, sorry but it's whether not weather. If you are going to make a mistake make it big and make it blue.
-
Depends if he wants to 'go steady' or shag.
The Yankee dance or the English..............?

British and Australian writers apparently make no distinction between spelled and spelt, using both as past participles and past-tense forms of spell. Here are just a few examples:
Will they skip through thousands of mundane and badly spelled missives from authors? []He has also calmly spelt out his own desire to end his life when he chooses, not when the disease does. []Their temperamental differences are spelt out in other ways. [] -
Spot the mistake: dogdale play at spotland not deepdale!
What do i win?
Mistake spotted!

his shirt was on the rails of the match worn shirts today and dont they only do that with the shirts of players who no longer play for us?
Would look a bit odd if he stays playing in last years kit, next season.
-
Apparently, we are playing Celtic over in Portugal!
Behind closed doors I believe.
-
is there an echo in here?
Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes
-
Good to hear you are on the mend - welcome back!
+1

Gillinghams average gate over the last 2 seasons just over 5100, so £2500/wk is very steep!

...................if he stays fit and they (Saunders & his backroom staff) can finally sort his head out. Pace, skill and a finish when he's in the mood & on song - but he makes Craig Davis look like a Countdown grand-master and therein has been the problem all his career to-date.
Blake will be a class apart in Leaue 1 though; i'll give you that
Although a professional footballer, Cotterill is also famous for the fact that early on his career he used to wear his left boot on his right foot and his right boot on his left foot. (from wiki)
