I know where you’re coming from  - but it’s got to be more than that.

The same players that are mentally weak, can’t pass, and look devoid of any confidence in possession - go away and play the polar opposite. The club isn’t to big for them away from home. There is some decent footballers away from home. . .

Just a small example- Why is Sheron playing a 60 yard pearler of a ball at Maidenhead and the week after passing it back to the keeper from the half way line?

In my view it’s because we try not to lose first at home- we concede territory, sit off, and then can’t get a foothold in the game. The crowd get restless and confidence drops. That’s not the players fault. It’s the tactics and the way they’re being set up. Mellon ‘tried’ to be more attacking at home the other week, and apologised for it! Then said we’ll stick to what we’re good at- which is hard to beat and gritty. That’s great away from home- but sooner or later he is going to have to find a way of letting the players get on the front early at home and get their confidence going.

If I go to the driving range (novice), 2 out of 50 balls I’ll probably nail.

The above applies to Nathan Sheron. He pumps it up field so much, the law of averages suggest one will come off eventually. Doesn’t make up for the fact he’s garbage 95% of the time.

I know I beat the same drum over Sheron, but we have been consistently shit with this lad in midfield. He’s meant to be the battler, he won fucking nothing yesterday. Hand on heart, I would have won more second balls than that lad yesterday.

  2. The same issues persist in the middle. We have Nathan Sheron in the middle. Lundstram looks petrified.Hammond not good enough. Conlon not fit enough.

We still have not sorted the right back situation.

We have absolutely not width in the side.

I don’t want Reid back. But if it means Kitchen pulls his finger out for the next 12 games, we might have to consider it. He’s been awful since his best mate dropped out.

Garner looked absolutely knackered from minute one yesterday. The centre backs took on step up and he was out the game. He’s more than likely fucking knackered, but he was a major issue yesterday. Effectively played with 10 men.

Mellon said himself he wants to play more football. But this team are just not capable of doing it effectively. They are absolutely petrified of the ball, which was shown yesterday by the midfield. We need players who want it and can look after it in tight areas. Can drive us forward and pick out a pass. Only Conlon can do that, but he’s coming back from a long term injury and expected to play Saturday Tuesday.

Until the midfield and the wide areas are sorted, we are a horrible team to watch, it’s that simple.

  3. Filled the stadium, but people were leaving at around the 75min mark near me. Some pointing out we just hoofed it the whole game, not wrong.

Actually embarrassing that today, actually raging.

Hogan, Kitch, Conlon,Raglan and Garner need to have a look at themselves.

People still have the audacity to even question Norwood. He would have thrived off that today and certainly wouldn’t have bottled it like them shithouses.

Sheron should go, we don't need somebody to run about sometimes making tackles who offers nothing on the ball and doesn't know how to find space to receive the ball. So easy for the opposition, stick a man on conlon and press the cb's, we panic and end up hoofing it. They've barely had to get out of 2nd gear....

Someone else who can spot an easy flaw in our side. We will never consistently be good with this bloke in CM.

It was a previous issue the club had to deal with and gave him a last warning - does it matter what it was?

Take the post how you will, but I reckon Reid is playing silly buggers undermining manager, club and misleading fans.

Rest of the points still stand.

Well you’re effectively asking me to take the word of a random person on the internet. So yes, I want to see if you actually have details.

If you cared so much about keeping it quiet for the good of the club, as you refer to above, you would never have made the initial post in the first place.

File this in the bull shit category, for now.

    Re Alex Reid

He's continuing to play the fool and needs calling out for it.

Prior to the Xmas day video, he was given a final warning due to a previous misdemeanor. Lets work on the assumption that is something neither he or the club want to go public...

He's now out of the fold and trying to undermine Mellon and the club, by saying he's fit and ready to go, knowing full well he isn't considered for selection due to the above, and making it out like he's the victim for not being picked.

He knows full well that the previous misdemeanor won't come out so he knows he can continue to play this game and not come out looking like the bad guy.

It's really snakey behaviour and for me, a justification and proof point of why he's not involved. Perhaps if he was more concerned about his career than likes on social, he wouldn't be in this situation.

    Go on then I’ll bite.

What did he previously do wrong ?

    Q the “I can’t say”

  7. First off, the ref ruined that game, prick.

I knew Kitching would come back in, but why was it for Green ? And why the fuck did he play left mid ?

We had a centre back at left back, left back at left wing, centre back at right back, a centre mid at right wing. - puzzling.

Should have been for Sutton with Kitching and Green as the wing backs.

Hammond was extremely poor, as was Sheron.

Battling performance and take the point. We need to win Saturday.

  8. Tough team to pick. I’d rather Kitching play at LB than Hogan, but can’t see him dropping any of Hobson, Raglan and Hogan after the first half against Boreham Wood.

That means a shift to 5 at the back with either Green or Sutton dropping out. Don’t think we can drop Green after his last game and a half. So Sutton misses out for me, unfortunately.

Everyone else, the same as Sat.

That's all correct, but - as probably one of the chief sceptics - it's not about that. I don't care if he never smiles or doesn't celebrate.

What I don't like is, while he's class when the team is doing well, when the team aren't he seems to have an air of frustration about his team mates not doing exactly what he wants and doesn't seem to offer much of a solution to change things other than look pissed off. That's no good to us. That's not positive or "demanding better" in a constructive way.

I just think Garner and Fondop - with the Boreham Wood game as an example - are always looking to work for the team and make things happen when the chips are down.

I don’t understand why you think he doesn’t do anything when the teams playing poorly. Of course he’s going to be frustrated when his team mates can’t find a simple pass, he has high standards and there is nothing wrong with that.

I’ve also responded to you before now with a number of examples of how he does help the team and contribute positively in tough moments.

As Ackey said, seems like we are both on the opposite end of the absolute.

He’s loved at both Tranmere and Barnsley. He was at Tranmere for a sustained period but Barnsley he was there for a season. He was also liked at Ipswich. So why is it some of our fans are struggling ? He’s scoring every other game.

Playoff final at Wembley first name on the team sheet would be James Norwood, doesn't matter how he's been playing - that's his platform, I wish he'd kiss the badge and balloon about like some of the others but that's just not him and I respect that, there is a well know saying in sport that form is temporary but class is permanent and that applies to James, he would walk in to most League 1 teams and on that basis we are lucky to have him, that's not taking anything away from Fondop and Garner by the way who I feel have been terrific for the team.

We've made excuses for a number of strikers and their lack of goals and put a lot of it down to the poor service from the midfield, despite that Norwood has still managed to bag 16 and looks on course for 20 odd, imagine his return in a team that's clicking.

    Couldn’t agree more.

Players like Norwood get you the wins in big matches, that’s why you sign them. I still don’t understand some of the negativity towards him, don’t think I ever will.

Garner and Fondop doing the business whilst he’s out has been great to see, and much needed.

Let's put it into perspective here. Macc are two levels below us. The level we're at now is dreadful enough. You're essentially a similar grade to park football there.

Absolutely show pony him and  we should have been embarrassed to try and build a team around him last season.

He’s a dick, so don’t get me wrong.

But I think you are being a bit harsh considering he’s won POTS in this league twice.

Doesn’t make up for being a twat mind.
