Please can we not start next season with Sheron on the pitch. Please.

Got sent some messages about Norwood says he hates it here and was saying I was playing in front of 18k last year In front of officials…
Could you add some more context to this

But he also blocked the follow up to stop the player scoring.
He just ran into him when on the floor, but sure.

Can we please talk about Harisson McGahey falling over his own feet / tripping over some mud in absolute slow motion as the ball almost crossed the line.
Reminded me of my Dad playing football for the Dad team when I was in school. Fucking shocking and sums him up. About as far away from an athlete as you could possibly imagine.

I don’t want him sacked. I want the players to take responsibility. You the amount of times I’ve watched Nathan Sheron knock it around the corner to the centre backs head is fucking embarrassing.

Sounds like just the kind of character you need around the place.
We would be screwed without his goals.

Welcome to OAFC, the home of ruining good players.

Yes we've bottled it, there are players in that squad I'd be happy if I never seen in an Oldham shirt again, without wanting to sound all BP I'd rather blood some kids now and see where that takes us because this showers going nowhere.
You can't make players care and this bunch just don't give a fuck, pampered, overpayed and lacking any real character. It's a toxic combination that will be hard to shift. Nobody leading on that pitch today and that's with some seasoned pros, half gave up after an hour which is unforgivable.
Hogan visibly gave up today. Poor.

One for those with an encyclopaedic knowledge of other lower league teams/players - what sort of set-up/players did Mellon have when he got Norwood firing at Tranmere? I can't imagine this approach is anywhere near it..
He had Andy Cook next to him. He’s a big man, but unlikely Mikey, he’s got half a brain.

100% he rewards failure by selecting raffle winners week after week, players who actually make a difference but he doesn't fancy he just drops (Fondop for example).
He's not creating anything he's just bullshitting from week to week, as I've said before what are they doing on the training pitch, making us hard to beat is just soul destroying, particularly at home.
What's wrong with Andrew Dallas and what's he bringing to the table that Reid, Willoughby or Nuttall didn't? Norwood looks like he's lost interest as does Kitching.
Another thing he keeps banging on about is this team he wants to create that the people of Oldham want to see, sorry but we've seen enough fucking tripe over the years to get a feeling for when it's not happening.
I'm not arsed about this season one bit, what I want is to see us develop and grow. At least half the squad in fact 90% have gone backwards and of the players he has brought in you could only really put 35 year old Garner up as a success.
Murray signed Garner.

Is Hallam Hope alive ? He’s shite, but he’s better than some of the current shite.
-
I think he is telling them exactly that. The plan is to lump it and win second balls, that is quite literally the plan.
We have no width or creativity. We just battle and hope.

I can't lie, I did enjoy the randomness of the team selection and seeing players in different positions.

Unsworth never suffered the embarrassment of losing to Aldershot though...
Bet you have a hard on with that performance. Will sleep tight tonight you.

That’s on Mellon today.
The line up looked very odd to begin with.
Dallas has done nothing to deserve a start. Literally nothing.
Our top scorer on the bench then brought on to play on the right.
We play hoof ball, but leave Mikey on the bench who is only one to win knock downs.
There doesn’t seem to any pattern of play, there isn’t any idea of what to do in possession. We look like strangers playing in the same kit. It’s very Unsworth esque to be honest. We just have no plan B. If we can’t hoof it and win the second balls we have no other option.
Absolutely 0 width. We had 3 centre backs play down the right at various points today. We had a proven goalscorer at right wing. We had a centre back in central midfield. Dallas, whatever he is, played up front and on the left.
No subs on the bench to change the system at all. We just have a squad of all players being exactly the same.

Come off it. If we fail to make the play-offs then it is a stackable offence.
Using Unsworth as an excuse can only hold for so long.We did give every other team 10 games head start…

Gardner is better than McGahey, Sheron and Hammond and I’m not being convinced otherwise.
I don’t believe Conlon and Lundy are are shit as they are playing for us.
Give those three a go in the middle, the others treat the ball like a hot potato. Play Garner and Norwood together and get the ball on the floor and knock it around.
All we do is hoof, it worked, it’s now not, so we need to try something different.
The right back situation remains an embarrassment, 2 years later…
5 goals in last 6 games.

What’s this about his family?
Think it was his second / third game. His family were saying he’s made the wrong decision coming here.
-
Dunno what to say really. He brought Nors on and shifted him RW.
Conlon, what is this guys issue? If his family has got in his head, then fuck him off. Crap.

Hammond has nowhere near the ability and strength of Atherton.
I don’t know what he is really. He’s not strong enough to hold, he’s not good enough to dictate play, and he’s not creative. He’s got “energy”, is the best praise, whatever that means.

Looks a howler of a team selection.McGahey should have been dropped after Tuesday. He’s shite. But played like Pirlo against Eastleigh.

Can't understand why Hammond is rated when we have far better in our own youths team. He just can't compete physically and his passing is a poor as the rest.
He’s crap from what we have seen, always has been. Just a runner, like Sheron.
-
Leaving our top scorer on the bench and playing Dallas who’s shown nothing in all appearances is very Unsy like….

Can’t do that, we’ve already made a sub. Deffo need Mikey and Nors on though.
Stick Dallas on the right then. Garner and McGahey off.
Who’s getting dumped next season?

We have been crap in midfield ever since he’s joined, he’s been ever present in that time.
