  1. Hallam Hope is so fucking slow it’s painful to watch. Night and day when Green went off. No creativity. No pace. No effort.
  2. Sheron comes on, with his first touch pumps it out of play. Great to see.
  3. Agreed, the Halifax right back is exactly what we need. He’s not even particularly great, he’s just an average right back. Loads of them about, yet we havnt been able to sign one.
  4. Considering he’s absolutely shit and been on the bench for about a month, I don’t think it is.
  5. Booing at half time when you are 0-0 and very much still in the game is ridiculous, no matter what level you are playing at or how many shots you have had. The only purpose it serves is devaluing when a boo is warranted. The players probably think what’s the point, they will boo anyway. People will say it’s only a boo and the players should get over it. But the reality is, we are getting a reputation for getting on players backs. We have improved looking at the two years in isolation. It might not be to our expectations, but we have improved.
  6. Yep… I hate to bring it up and you can have whatever opinion on how he’s done for us as anyone likes. But the chants to Norwood about being overpaid at the Oxford game was a bit of a joke. We arnt different to other fans, but I don’t think you’d get many fans chanting that way to their top scorer. Hogan was getting grief, that’s more warranted in my opinion. Reiterate, it’s not the fans fault. But some of the actions of our fans, at times, is utterly bizzare and comes across as self sabotage.
  7. He gets my backing until he fails with a team that is his and balanced. This squad has such obvious weaknesses that it’s impossible to even judge the man. As you say, he’s been promoted out this league twice, has 5 promotions. I’m pretty sure he’s not the issue and it just might be the club that has been in a constant decline for 30 years…
  8. Yeah true. On the flip side, it’s inevitable the players will have bad games and preform badly in spells, we need to be prepared for that. The booing has gone past being ridiculous. Fans boo when it’s 0-0 at half time these days, it’s cringeworthy.
  9. Completely agree. But on that last point, we have plenty of time to just give up and be angry. For me, whilst we can still get into the playoffs, which is the aim. We should be supporting the team but us fans gave up on that about a month ago. Im not supporting the manager or players, to make it clear. But if people think we arnt going to go on a losing streak at some point next season, they are wrong. What we going to do, boo the players and call them shite again ?
  10. I like Mellon. But I cringe when he says lines like that. It’s just not true is it.
  11. I’m not saying it’s the fans fault. I am saying that we all accepted the season was over probably about 5 games to early. We are all responsible for that. Manager, players and fans.
  12. This team piss me off as much as anyone. Just all seemed to go down hill quickly.
  13. As an example, at the Oxford game the fans were fighting amongst themselves, chanting against our players and management. Which I completely understand, but not when we are still in it, which we was during that game and at that point.
  14. I’m not having a go at the fans, as such. I am simply saying the atmosphere and the acceptance that we arnt going to make the play offs seemed to set in far earlier than it should have. I include myself in that.
  15. It is strange how early we kind of accepted defeat in all honesty, and I do think us as fans have to take some form of responsibility for that. Going into Easter weekend it was all to play for with a lot of games left. But even before that weekend it felt like we had accepted defeat. In reality, we needed a couple of wins. Appreciate the first 30mins of the Fylde game killed a lot of hope. But going into the Alti game, a win would have gone a long way. But the crowd was absolutely dead and it felt like we accepted the inevitable. Mellon has a role to play in all this as he was giving off the impression he didn’t really believe it was achievable, he did this way to soon. It is a bizzare end to the season. We are to far off and to many variables out of our control at this point to make it into the playoffs, imo. But the reality is, we were a win and a draw away from going into the last game with a very strong chance of playoffs. Weird.
  16. The only one we would struggle to get rid of is Shelton, but even he had interest in January…
  17. You okay Monty ? Just off the top of my head, Nuttall, Kurt, Reid, Shelton and Ward are 5 players under contract which Mellon will certainly not play or give a chance to next season. Why is it such ridiculous statement to say shift them on ? Never mentioned pay offs. Sell them or loan them out for all I care, don’t care how it gets done. I think we can all agree we need rid of players. Or I am misunderstanding your post.
