    Every single game we have 3 players out of position, every game. We have absolutely 0 width and no options to change things. We still rely on Nathan Sheron to put on a shirt. The issue isn’t Mellon, the issue is whoever handled/handles recruitment. Whoever the fuck that is as I genuinely don’t know.

    The issue isn’t just the players in the box, who mark each other and offer no movement. The problem is also the delivery which fails to beat the first man most the time.

    For our Liverpool FA Cup tie I let my family go and I met them after the game.

    Seems logical to me. If we release both Hogan and McGahey we would only have to sign another centre back anyways.

    I’d imagine the plan is for Sutton to step up and play / cover the centre back role. We have to many centre backs and if we are deciding between McGahey and Hogan, then relegation specialist McGahey would be binned off in a flash. Hogan will be a valuable squad player and provide cover and experience. Raglan and Hobson are more than good enough for this level.

    To be honest, I don’t know why we are making a shambles of the right back situation. It’s not that hard to find a competent right back. Sachdev was a panic loan, nothing more.

    He’s also only ever played 5 professional games and is clearly not seen as the solution.

    I mean the fact we have to play a centre back at right back, two central midfield players on the wing, and our central midfield partnership having 0 creativity and scared of the ball is a non issue. James Norwood needs to score every game or go back to Barnsley.

    Hardly a surprise when the person crossing the ball in is 28 year old overweight centre back. Yet let’s blame the proven striker.

    But we hardly create chances for him. If he was missing chances each game I would understand. But he literally gets about half a chance each game.

    Don’t remember the Chesterfield chance but the one on the weekend was behind him and the keeper saved it.
