I had the odd coaching session with Cec when I was a young teenager - so mid 70s - and he only retired five years ago! Former Jamaica Pacer Wright Set To Retire After 60-Year Career | Wisden
He is a crown green bowler who I had a game against last season, a gentleman.

No chance of that vote (which needs 14 PL clubs to agree) of getting through
Yet every club moans about it.

Who has offered those? Because nobody watches the roof from senior management
That's what happened at Stretford FC, next thing it's pissing in.

I wouldn’t go that far about Bala

Been to them before, I've nothing new to say.
Besides if I gave my thoughts directly to MM on his turgid tactics I'd probably be thrown out
As you say BP best not to go, I'm not a big fan of these "meet the manager" things. I have only been to a couple before, both LJ. He knew how to play the audience, looking back they were heady days.

I've no beef with that; I don't think you're telling porkies
Lose that one and the manager is up for the chop. I'd steak money on it.

Forgot to congratulate all league winners, Ex Pat gets another PL title, I'm sure 24hrs will be along shortly to offer his own congrats. Sad to see LSA get relegated, needs to concentrate more on his predictions rather than trying to make himself a media career.

Think there were quite a few neutrals there.
How many on here were there? - I was for one.
I think most of us over mid 50 year old would have been there.

Sounds like a section of knob heads to me!
It was if they couldn't wait for us to go behind. What Fondop thought of it who knows, one minute none of them are fit to wear the shirt, the next he is gods number 9.

Thanks Metty, great job as always, hopefully next season it will be easier as we rack up a large number of WWWWWWWWWWWWW.

I think this has gone beyond a section of knobheads.
Oxford (A), George and all that group spent most the game on the back of the players.
They were at it again on Saturday.

It's happened numerous times this season. I remember a group of our supporters at a couple of away games under DU earlier in the season waving a San Marino flag about and chanting about how shit the football was pre-kickoff. Basically hoping we lost.
Best supporters in the league though, remember
Waving a San Marino flag is quite amusing, I would wager the players wouldn't even notice it, and if they did they wouldn't have a clue which nation it is from.

So Gateshead have played this season for fuck all, surely the league would have informed any teams who didn't meet the criteria at the start of the season.

Can some one explain why we are calling MM bigfoot now ?
He enquired about signing Jordan Henderson.

Yeah true. On the flip side, it’s inevitable the players will have bad games and preform badly in spells, we need to be prepared for that.
The booing has gone past being ridiculous. Fans boo when it’s 0-0 at half time these days, it’s cringeworthy.
What was worse was the booing of our own player when he came on the pitch as a substitute.

Yep he’s been absolutely crap when playing for us.
Unsworth continuing to bring him on as a sub in central midfield when Harry Vaughan was an option remains the most puzzling decision by a manager.
Couto could be a cheap back up, nothing more from what I have seen.
Wasn't Couto wrapped up with Unsworths daughter? I may have made this up. It would explain why he was getting game time.

I’ve seen that the official site has been updated now to say that if you have the physical tickets, you need to return them at the ticket office by 4pm on Tuesday, 23 April.Which is utter bollocks, I picked up mine and my lads ticket but gave the ticket to him so I could meet him in the ground for the original fixture, he lives in Leeds but won't be over this way for a couple of weeks. I think a little bit more Grace is needed he has e mailed the club. I get that it isn't Latics fault but someone needs to realise that getting the ticket back to the club for the 23rd isn't practical for everyone.

Nope. But a mate of mine has been advised he needs to take his physical ticket back to the ticket office in order for the refund to be processed. Which is clearly idiotic, given the shambles.
I will wait for my reply. I’m certainly not driving a two hour round trip for the privilege of my money back.
That's fine if they recognise you might be a couple of months before you can present your ticket.

Well, if that’s true- I’d guess at the others as,
Langley £500
Couto £500
Harrison £800
Bren 1K
Dan £1500
Green 1k
Tollit £800
Windass £500
Mikey 1k
Hope £800
If I’m anywhere in the ball park - that’s 8.4K a week off the wage bill.
What does that get us?
8 ok players on 1k
5 good players on 1.5k
Even with this fag packet guessing it’s not difficult to see how difficult it’s going to be in the summer.
Can't see Green being on 1k a week. We got him from the dog and duck reserves didn't we.

Interesting point this and one I think we can relate to the fact that we have an old side. Of yesterday's starting 11 only 1 is under 24 that is Sachdev who isn't even our player. I think we need to start looking at young hungry players who can add energy to the team.
I've said above about the need to embrace change and I very much stand by that but if we can learn one lesson from the past is that signing young hungry players possibly with a point to prove is something that works for us.
Hammond is in this mould and he gets pelters on here.
