But the questions are tough and we are shit at home
No use complaining, preparation preparation preparation.

Looking at that team the 9/5 on a home win looks tasty.

But when you weren’t playing Leeds—
On the BBC sport website there is a video of the 1970 FA Cup final replay Chelsea v Leeds that is how to play the game (I'd post it on here but I'm fucked if I know how to do it)

The same people who are complaining about the toughness of the questions, are probably the ones complaining about how shit we are at home. If you want to take part I recommend at least 1 month poring over the record books and statistics from the last 129 years. Becomes a doddle and all your friends will be impressed.

He's not quite on the Kevin Sinfield level of fund raising and he's not got his yet
Same applies as my previous post.

I guess I and all of us can't help being biased given what Frank and his family have done for our club, but surely if gongs mean anything in this day and age he deserves a knighthood for what he's done for Alzheimer's fundraising.
Of course he should, but being the bloke he is, it is most probably the furthest from his mind.

I’ve seen it publicised that the total raised from his two combined rows is around £1.3 million. I wonder how come the first row raised so much more money, as it seems the row this time has gained so much more publicity (or maybe it’s only on my radar because of the football club).
Magnificent achievement and I hope the media attention continues to help grow the Just Giving final total.
One of his sponsors matched the money raised on his 1st row, I may have made this up but I'm sure I read it somewhere.

Charlton had skill and class oozing out of every pore.
But I suppose people want to see your Nathan Sherons running around a bit nowadays.

There were 2 points where I think it would have been reasonable to sack him - in January like you say and when they actually did. I understand why they didn't do it in January, and they were justified to some extent by the results in the 2nd half of the season. But he'd used up all his credit, so when he had that bad run this season he was gone.
Mellon, on the other hand, has the occasional bad game. So to even have a thread that mentions his name and the word "sack" is ridiculous!
I don't think any reasonable right minded person wants him sacked. I can understand people's disappointment after Saturday as it was all set up to be a celebration. Shit happens still a hell of a lot to play for.

The point was you couldn't justify sacking him in the summer based on the form table, not unless you were a form table #disrespecter
You are right, the point is he should have been sacked in the January.

Every time I see the thread title, I envisage Mickey wearing an extravagant hessian timepiece.

The thing about that Maidenhead is that I didn’t think we played entertaining football necessarily. We were just positive and played with confidence. If we did that at home the majority of fans would feel much better about the season. We don't need to put together 30 pass moves.
Just as well, this lot are incapable of it.

Season ticket holder and I've only seen 5 wins including Rochdale away! (Missed the Barnet game and left Borehamwood game at HT ).
Same here 5 wins only, and 1 of those was at Alty in the cup.

Would have thought 1700 is an initial allocation, might as well fill the Chaddy. I'm in the fortunate position of being away for this game.

I get it. I live down south so I’m exclusively away games in terms of what I see live. But I do pay for and watch a lot of home games online so it’s not like I’m totally immune to the home results!
At least I can see you are totally mad now, I have a ST but can't be arsed to watch it when I'm not at the game.

11 from 9 at home and 23 from 10 away under Mellon. If we swapped our home results with our away results there would be nowhere near the level of bed wetting going on. Which seems a bit daft to me.
Good point, I suppose it's the masses who attend home games only that feel it's not good enough, and I do appreciate that not too many can afford or have the time to traipse all over the country.

Just had a look and in. 44 game season with the Rochdale results removed the current table would look like this…
- BARNET 33 61
- BROMLEY 33 58
- GATESHEAD 32 55
- SOLIHULL 32 51
- ALDERSHOT 33 51
- LATICS 33 50
- HALIFAX 33 49
- ALTY 31 49
- HARTLEPOOL 35 44
Fucking hell, that would really piss on Chesterfield's chips.

Usually less on a Tuesday though isn’t it. Didn’t sell out 1500 at York, and I know it’s a bit further but I still reckon 2400 will be enough.
1494 at York wasn't it?
