  1. The club offered to speak to them before the protest yesterday. They declined. It's embarrassing

Several reasons why the meeting was declined yesterday I have not got the time to list them all. What I will say is a further meeting has been offered and subject to availability will go ahead within the next couple of weeks.

Also there is the open fan meeting on Saturday that I hope lots of fans can attended.

  2. Public meeting. Sat 4th June Midday Grey Mare pub. Have asked for trust to attended. Mark from the pub who also has the bluebell is fully behind the group and has asked me if i would like to do this Saturday. Anyone wanting to come please do. Its not just "spotty teenagers" or a group of "bored school kids" with concerns. We really want to avoid a Blackpool or Charlton situation hence the wording of the banner today. I have had loads of the older fans actually tell me they are glad someone has stood up and asked questions. I started the Facebook group but by no means see myself as a leader of any group we are all fans and I am more than happy for someone with better righting and communication skills to lead this. Today was not a massive turnout but I got lots of messages of support from fans who was either working or couldn't make it for one reason or another. I respect we don't all see things the same way though.

  3. I'm not saying you're wrong but do we know for sure that the playing budget has been slashed and slashed?

Also, what is the goal of the protest? Genuine question, not being funi

I've no evidence that the budget has been slashed no, although i believe its generally been accepted within the fan base that this is the case.

In a nut shell our aim is to get corney and his mates to take a bigger intrest in the club not strive for 17th every season, as a fan surly we can all agree we need to be aiming higher than that?

If he and his mates wont change we will look at changing to push for a buyer and before anyone says there not queuing up we are aware of that but how actively are we trying to be sold?

If you was looking at another club now who lost a manager to a team below had four contracted players for next season and just had a player arrested on child abuse charges most of us would be saying they are :censored:ed, would you agree?

  4. Any protest is just counter-productive now, as frustrating and disappointing as these last few days (and even the last year and a half) have been, we need to rally round and get behind the new manager and the team...

I understand your point. Although would that not be a case of doing what we always have, resulting in the inevitable same outcome?

Its as clear as day that the playing side of the land is now a distant 2nd best in terms of investment. The other two are still pulling the strings weather you agree or not its happening. Yes I know they are not directors of the club anymore but their friend is, and they are directors of brassbank and oee. We was told the Sports Direct deal and new stand would give us a budget to challenge at the top end of the table this has yet to happen. The new stand has been doing fuctions for months now sports direct 2 season and the budget has been slashed and slashed and slashed. The clubs only ambition is to stay in league one thats as far as it goes. Look where the clayton arms used to be housing now owned by brassbank what about the car park owned by brassbank the hospital building etc? We get practically :censored: all from the new stand its all going to them 3 whilst the playing side is there to appease the fans.

I appreciate some of you back the board still and weather I agree with you or not I respect your entitled to your opinion. The protest group grew in huge numbers yesterday as I mentioned in another thread literally it grew 500% from just over 100 members to now over 600. The tide is turning.

  5. Are you sure about this lads? If you go down this route then you may not be able to turn back....

    I mean ....A Facebook group!?

well yeah using social media is a very good way of organizing something quickly and reach lots of people.

Its really not difficult to grasp why it would be done this way.

  6. It would be best to avoid any further association with Evans, regardless of what happens at retrial. We'll always be seen as the club who wanted to sign him as a convicted rapist.

Correct that will always be the case anyway and will not ever change. So why not try and sign him now? Will make no diffrence to us bein the club who tried to sign a man who was wrongly sent to jail for a crime he didnt commit*

*as it stands we tried signing a victim of a miscaridge of justice.

He did what I suspect most people would do and protested his innocence because he knew he was not guilty. He got stick for not saying sorry. Would any of us say sorry for a crime we didnt commit? As thats an admitence of guilt?

Fair play to the bloke he has stood his ground and no looks like he is going to have a re trail that will aquit him of the crime.

  7. Conviction overturned.

    Now an innocent man.

weather or not you think what he did was morally right or not is irrelivent he has not broken the law. He is now innocent.

He has spent time in jail and lost a huge amount of wages and a career that was looking up is now in tatters.

Its morally wrong for him to of been accused of rape in the first place by the girl now is it not? I hope she gets her just desserts.

  8.

It was Mark Moisley who told us that at a forum. I've had a look around and can't see anything in any regulations which expressly prevents any clubs from letting people out to smoke- can anyone else?

Yeah I remember a meeting with that being asked I was with savage. The answer was the other clubs are breaking rules.

I was discussing this with someone at the game they said it was bull:censored:.

It is what it is tho. There is currently no smoking in the ground and we cant go for a smoke at half time. It would be decent if we could do this. I dont see why we would need to leave the ground from the rocky rd end we could just use the far corner near the exit from blokes toilets.

I think it does need sorting out for us tho but I dont think its a reason why people dont attend games.
