  1. O'Grady. He showed the odd glimpse were you thought. Is this really the same O'Grady who we've seen at Latics. I think he did more in the opening 5 minutes with some good flicks, movement and holding the ball up than i'd seen him do in ten performances for the 'tics. He never managed a shot though. Drifted in the second half and started to lag. Constantly found out on the wing, even though he's been sent to dale to be an out and out striker. Dale broke three times on the counter in the last ten minutes with 4 on 3 attacks and where was O'Grady - Nowhere to be seen. Pretty poor on the hole - if dale had another decent striker besides Dagnall then I dont think he'd get a game.

Watch out for 'dales 3rd goal. Cracking celebration by Tom Kennedy against his old club. Funny watching him goad the Bury fans who ran onto the pitch and then didnt have a clue what to do.

Sodje as well. Special note to him. Quite possibly the best centre half in league 1 and 2 when the ball is in the air. I've never seen anyone in all the games i've seen him play over the years win a header against him. The ball anywhere below knee height and he is quite possibly the worst player in league 1 and 2. Must say I did love his one figured salute to the home end.

I really do wish Latics had a player like Gary Jones in centre mid. Constantly wants the ball. Wins everything and doesnt shy away. Always wins that 2nd ball and knows where to put a pass. Never stops running.

Dale Stephens on the bench again. No sign of coming on and isnt going to do when Jones and Jason Kennedy put in performances like that.

Cracking atmosphere in the ground today. Saying there was only 4,500 there was a fair old racket being made in stages. Probably helps with a low roof. "Tom Kennedy. He's not a bucket anymore."

Bury fans trying to kick off near the Cemmy Hotel pub. Only to be battoned by the dibble all the way up the road as they picked a few of them off and launched them into the back of the many dibble vans. Highly entertaining! Well done GMP.

why the f##k do we want to hear about Rochdale?

  2. I don't live in Oldham so should i go and support someone else??

Don't see what difference it makes where you live if you attend the games then you are a supporter and not just following the success and wearing the shirt.

You're missing my point, I'm from Littleborough but support Oldham. All that I was saying was, Burnley have a larger fanbase than what the media says.

  3. I know a lot of Dingle supporters and most of em are genuine lads who support their team by actually attending games, i also know numerous Reds and they all use the old "i would go but i can't get a ticket excuse" as they support their side in their living room or in the pub.

Who to cheer for ??? the "biggest franchise in the world" or a small town club who have got to where they are the right way and not by spending WAY above their means.

It makes me laugh when people say how well Burnley are supported being such a small town. They have all of Rossendale and Calderdale as a fanbase.

  4. I have put Rochdale though the local people of Littleborough will tell you it's not a part of Rochdale but a town in its own right!

Thats exactly how I think, I'm ashamed to have any Rochdale link. I'm from Littleborough.

  5. Neither did we too be honest, bar one section in the far corner. Carling Cup game. Yippee.

Quite alot of the Rochdale based Latics are split on them. I know a fair few who hate them. I dont though - was took from a very young age to watch them with my uncle back in the days they were really :censored:.:disappointed:

As for the Biffo's stuff. There's only really a few who come out with it - most 'dale fans couldnt give a flying at the amount of Oldham fans who went to the playoff semi against Gillingham last year. We're not like a Bury in there eyes, simply because we dont play them.

What I can't understand is, why did any Oldham fans travel to Wembley to watch Rochdale?

Most Dale fans I know seem to be even more bitter than us, but then again who could blame them.

  6. Oh aye. Bottles of Sol in the Wren's Nest circa 1993. 50p each. Good times.

Bit like Mr Wrigleys (was opposite the Chron office) then circa 1998, quid a Sol, or quid a double vodka....now they were good times.

And getting back to the original post, there's only ever been Livingstone's at Livingstone's....before that it was a furniture shop wasn't it?!?!

  7. I dont know if he is coming to us or not. But a way of finding out if he is to leave Oldham for another club is if he plays tonight in the cup. If he is off then they wont want him cup tied.

If he is not on your team sheet then you will know he is due out of the door

Have any of your predictions ever come good?
