  1. Is a 12,000 capacity stadium set in stone or can the TTA be persuaded to commence with a build around 14,000 in line with BP (extendable if required), would it really burst their budget to add the extra 2,000 ?

Whats the point of having a 14,000 seat stadium? So we can have another 2,000 empty seats? I would suspect that, the bigger the stadium, the higher the general running costs what with maintenance etc. And some people are moaning for wasting money on Colbeck.....

For me, aslong as the stadium can be expanded, I'd be happy with an 8,000 seat stadium. I mean, how often in a season are we gonna get anywhere near capacity - judging by the fact that Leeds are practically promoted already, I'd say once, when the 'mighty' Huddersfield come to town with their 'massive' away following.....

    Dear Sir or Madam:

I am writing with regards to your amazing offer on your Heinz Tomato Ketchup. At first I could not believe my eyes. On the back it says "If you are not delighted with this ketchup, simply write to us quoting the quality code on the bottle cap and we will refund your money in full". Well, I have to admit I am moderately happy with the ketchup, but I would not go as far as to say delighted. So I look forward to receiving my money in full. The bottle cap code is 33300309. Thankyou.

    Sincerely

Most important question, did u get a refund then?!

  3. Lower given the amount of penalties Fleming gives away?

Whatever. As I've said ever since Fleming was released, in the ten games (or so) that Fleming played last season, I can remember standing up say five times applauding a save in what, in my opinion, should have been a goal. I'm not saying Fleming is God, but he's better than Brill and shouldn't have been sent packing.

    Want a laugh, read this;

  4. Sheff Wed announced their intentions to extend Hillsborough a matter of weeks ago - in no time at all the plans were submitted and permission received.

Other clubs have had seemingly smooth passages to improvement too.

The only reason the details of this scheme were announced when they were was because a) the allotment holders and Failsworth Dynamos were confidentially consulted and they went straight to the press and b] the deal involved the purchase of Council owned land. As I understand things, if the sale of Council land is discussed, it has to be done in a public document and therefore, the proposals entered into the public domain.

I've always thought that, if the stadium included privately owned land, the details would start to be emerging until now, when Latics would be able to show detailed plans of what they have planned. At this stage, as no plans are available, that suggests that things are still very early in the mix.

  5. So having gone 5 games and only conceding 1 goal (which was a bit of a freak goal) he makes one mistake and then open season should be declared? Ok then.

In which games, lets be honest, he had very little to do. The only decent save I've seen Brill make in 10 games or so, was against Carlisle (I think) when he saved a 1-on-1 when the deadlock was yet to be broken. Very unlike Fleming who, in the 10 games he's played, I can remember standing up at least five times to clap a save which a lot of other keepers in this league wouldn't have got to.

The test for me as DP as a manager, would be for him to bring Fleming back in January and reinstall him as the number 1 - basically admitting that he was wrong. Good managers learn, lets hope DP does.

  6. Yep, the best team I've seen us play this season by some way.

I take it that you didnt go to Charlton?

I thought Southampton were pretty poor, especially at the back when, upto the goal, we were all over them. Yet again, could have been a different game if Parker at took the 1-on-1 chance when it was 0-0, or he took his second chance just before it was HT, which would have made it 2-1 at the break.

  7. he goes drinking in my local waterhole in chadderton, and is friends with about 5 of my mutual friends....

he jumped at the chance of doing buisness with the government regarding a prison as his farm is slowely going downhill, not much livestock lest etc etc..more money if he sells the land to a developer or other, but with land prices on there backside he wont get as much as when the original plan was mooted

is that enough info for you.

he can't be that poor if he can afford to go out boozing....so if you're that big of a mate with him, has he told you what he is doing with the land?

  8. Why can't you just accept there is no better option and start backing the club?

Oldham as a borough is in the back yard of both Manchester clubs.

The club at the moment is totally on it's arse, we do not have a future if we continue.

Why don't you suggest the fans buy the shares of the club (like Real Madrid) and end up like Stockport instead??

    here, here!

sometimes I think it's only me and you on here that swallows everything that the club tells us!
