1. Gloves on outfield players
2. Pundits who refer to Players in the plural- ' your Gerrards, your Shearers....'

Second those congrats- used to see him after the game drinking in the Horton Arms with the reprobates, Brennan, hallworth et al

Paul Edwards .. David Holt ?? Good honest defenders but for sheer class that transferred to Prem level Warhurst and Barrett followed by the man marking skills of Fleming. Do remember Bill Cranston hoofing ball into the Ford Stand car park every game to waste time-no 'Fergie time ' in those days..

Mcvitie could cross an old fashined leather ball with pinpoint accuracy similar to tricky but for entertainment it has to be grovesy who could beat a defender, sit on the ball whilst waiting for the defender to catch up and then beat him again
Latics most entertaining players ?

Groves and Stainrod, just because they engaged with the fans and seemed to enjoy playing the game
But for sheer tricks and charisma, Frank Worthington played half a game for Latics in a testimonial, late 1970's, maybe Gary Hoolickins testimonial ? IIRC ?
