It was Liam Manderville who weaved past 2 defenders for the last minute assist.
I accept we aren't good (Morecambe) but we have probably the lowest budget in League 2.
Kevin Ellison is 40 on Saturday which is some achievement to be still playing pro football at that age.
Morecambe are a prime example of what can be with coaching and determination and some players who stick to what they are good at.
I and others around me certainly clapped Ellison off as we knew his age!
Fair play to you and your fans who got behind the Shrimps to the end. I hope you stay up as you are certainly better than some sides we have seen recently.

Great memories there,
talking about the prisoner, have you ever visited the village? better still, driven an original mini moke around it? just epic!
Yes been to the village a couple of times. Always some weird vibe to it though. Stunning views across the bay in good weather.

Honest sounding stuff.
Sounds great to my ears.
Practical and positive.

Don't forget the weird eastern European kids drama "the singing ringing tree' with the giant fish
Never understood it then and have seen some clips on 'youth tube' and still don't understand it now.

Don't know about you but it's like a massive weight has been lifted with the appointment of Scholes and I personally feel a total sense of happiness and inner well-being because the club appears to finally be heading in the right direction with a well balanced side that's playing with a freedom and togetherness, which in turn will see more wins than losses and possibly a shot at getting back to where we should be.
Once again thanks to P.W for taking brilliant care of team matters and to Big AL for making the seemingly impossible happen, goes without saying I'm chuffed to bits and excited at long last
Back on topic, I had to smile to myself today as I looked out from my seat in the moan stand at Paul Scholes, England and Utd ledgend , who is our manager with the back ground of the Joe Royle stand.
In 20 years time will the moan stand have been replaced with the Paul Scholes stand?

Nepo for me too. Put in a shift at full back including some solid tackles and was constantly making overlaps and space.

Agreed subs didn't work out today.
If we are pressing up the field we need all forwards to work as one.
Branger needs to play ball quicker when one on one
Still havnt seen anyone better than us so got to keep on playing with a quicker tempo which causes defenders at this level problems
Once again poor ref who was backed up by a poor lino on the moan stand side.
Roll on Tuesday with a stronger bench please and play to feet.

Seven goals by seven players in 2 games. Means we are not relying on a single forward. Increasing confidence to take a shot is noticeable.

Press conference looked like some bizarre love triangle

I'll say it again ,Great news for club and the fans alike.
Could be a Royle or Sharp but fun to watch I'm hoping.

I certainly remember his reporting as fair and accurate .
Always the first thing I read in the Chron when I was growing up, closely followed by the John Wilkes column.

Was his name Ozzy Osbourn by any chance?

To be fair O'Rourke is usually correct so I'd say it's believable, will wait until the club or more press announce it though
When do Latics usually do their pressers/briefings?
