How many hours a week does a 4th division goalkeeping coach even do? Rhodes taking it over would be about the least concerning bad news I've heard.

Quite a few hours more than a Non League goalkeeping coach hopefully

We've had quite a few transfers, plus a good couple of money spinning cup runs since the Landlords upped sticks. The 7 million debt is old, it could be more (unlikely) but it could be significantly less or even 0, given the takeover. Its up to the Landlords to prove it exists, which will involve them submitting lots of accounts since they took over the club in 2004. There's a significant part of me that thinks they may not want to do it for various reasons.

The net worth of Oldham Athletic 2004 Ltd is illustrated by the figure on the balance sheet.

If it is in brackets that is the net debt.

The landlords do not need to prove anything.

He may have been given the right professional advice and just ignored it.

Or just found consultants who will have told him what he wants to hear. Some will do that in order to get business.

Can’t head a ball. Can’t pass more than 5 yards, and his weight of pass is abysmal. Can’t shoot to save his life.

3 attributes that are useful/essential for any central midfield player.

He can tackle though and his long legs cover the ground easily.

Was my man of the match on at least a couple of occasions, but in my opinion Latics should be able to do a lot better than the likes of Ousmane Fane.

If he does go I wish him the best of luck. He seems like a likeable lad and always gave his all for the team. Something which some of the more naturally gifted players regularly failed to do.

You know much too much about football to be posting on here.

I attended all home games and half a dozen away games last year. He was my player of the season. The difference in opinion from so called ‘fans’ is outrageous at times. Exactly what we need in the trenches of league two next year.

And to how many games must a 'fan' go to become a proper 'non outrageous' fan?

Are the trenches of league 2 much deeper and more waterlogged than the trenches of league 1?  Hyperbole of a level Boris would aspire to.

Majority don’t like him but credit where credits due.  Bunn and Rhodes must be Barry’s choice.  AL wouldn’t know these two...only someone who’s a fan would

Do we know for sure that we have moved away for the Corney template of seeing who pays most into the club for the job?

    Wow ?

    To summarise more appropriately:

The North Stand is crap and is a white elephant.

The atmosphere is crap, partly due to the fans being split over 3 stands (including the North Stand.)

You are not convinced about matchday income from the Facilities in the North Stand going to OAFC Ltd, especially due to the administration involved.

The solution, though is to get a fans bar in the space behind the RRE. Rent FOC?

    Love your passion  ?

    MORE CORRECTLY

I totally get your dislike of TTA, completely justifiable. But as long as we're at BP and Brassbank is regrettably calling the shots re the lease etc, don't we want all sides of the ground as full as possible (pipe dream at the moment admittedly) and three of the four sides getting behind the team?

    Pipe dreams are exactly that.

The RRE was decided as being the base for the home fans and at certain times it was rocking. That now has been totally lost.

Our atmosphere has become crap. The North Stand is partly to blame.

Oafc lover says that he boycotts the North Stand as a matter of principle, others will not do the same. BTW I do too. I go in there when it is offered as a freebie.

In my opinion the North Stand is absolutely crap and not fit for purpose and I was against it right from the word go since I could sense that it would never be properly completed and never full utilised to take us to the next level (I Quote.) It has become a liability/a white elephant. We are going backwards these days.

Back on topic get a fans bar in the space behind the RRE-It is not ideal but will be a lot more feasible.

Go see AL and take advantage of the split between the previous and the current owner.  It'll be free to rent!  Open up access between the RRE & the North Stand.

I have never been particularly convinced by the statement that all bar (and associated) income goes to OAFC Ltd  on a Saturday afternoon.

Perhaps it does even though it will be a bit of an administrative nightmare to do so with stocks etc. Perhaps the fans bar will take income away from OEC Ltd. GOOD!

  9. 9 minutes ago, al_bro said:

Do you know who the lease is payable to. Is it Brassbank (themselves) or Latics?

I know not. I just know that OEC Ltd have a current and future commitment for another 14 or 15 years.

I assumed that it is to Oldham Athletic 2004 Ltd who themselves have a lease on the (whole?) ground from Brassbank as explained by Corney at a fans meeting.

It is not that unusual-It is like a Company taking on a lease of a large property and then building a mezzanine floor part (or all) of which they then sublet to a n other(s.)

To take it one step further those a n others can then further sublet to even more others for things like the floorspace to run a fans bar.

It's not illegal it's called Capitalism.

Is the whole of the North stand leased to OEC except the gym and the club shop or is that top floor still vacant without a tennant?

It is my interpretation that OEC Ltd have a 15 year lease on certain (possibly all) sections of The North Stand at a current market rent of £216K per annum.

Which square footage and areas are included and upon which days I have no idea.

Also I do not know to whom the Gym and The Club shop/ Sports direct pay rent.

Hello Glossop,  it currently up for rental at that price. I'll be honest we haven't properly opened up a dialogue yet. Reason being is that I know, the OEC is a bone of contention for some fans..I'm not knocking this in anyway as we all support in different ways. But I just wanted to judge how many would/would not support it to see if it was viable as a location first.

There are plenty of locations within the ground that are not leased to OEC Ltd, although not quite as readily usable. Approach AL.

    Are you sure about this?

II thought Brass bank owned the N Stand.

But if it's correct that Latics borrowed  to build it then they own it,.  And surely OEC aren't daft enough to be paying  rent for the empty space that the trust want for the bar,  so it should be available to be rented  out by Latics at whatever rent they want to charge eg £1 a week for a supporters bar.

OEC Ltd are many things but daft isnt 1 of them.

  13. At long last people are starting to understand how this 'third party' ownership of certain sections of the business pans out.

Oldham Athletic 2004 Ltd built the North Stand with monies loaned from TTA. OEC Ltd rents the North Stand (or a part of) on a 15 year lease. OEC Ltd wants a maximum return.

Oldham Athletic 2004 Ltd rents the ground from Brass Bank Ltd at a annual charge of £100K. AL owns OAFC 2004 Ltd (now fully I am assured.)

The Trust should go speak to AL!

  14. To clarify since people seem to think that I recommend that we do certain things to follow what Dale do, that would not include appointing a failed Assistant Manager .

However I am pleased as others have said that it is not a foreign coach (and not to work under a Director of Football.)

It is just a bit lacking in imagination under the new owner but I never really got the optimism for the new regime.

Haaaa, What a society we live in when positivity is your downfall.

Ive been a viewer since the start of this site and I was a regular poster on the old JK Latics site.

Last week I thought the board needed a bit of optimism injected and a sense of reality as to why we follow this club.

I have found that some people just cant survive without the constant need for pessimism, doom & gloom and a real sense of negativity in their lives. These people are scared of being positive and upbeat and react by attacking those who are.

Things at the club aren't great no, but its a fecking game of football, means alot to me but its never going to make me into some sad person who only ever sees the negatives about our club.

I'm a fan that's it, let those lucky enough to be involved in our club deal with that side of it.

People come and go in football, that's the way it is. One minute your great and then your not.

Too much shit in this world to spend all your time moaning and groaning on here. What will be will be.

I'll always remain positive and promote positivity to anyone I meet. Home life, work life can be stressful and demanding. Football shouldn't be, unless you let it.

Like I said last week, have a beer and enjoy summer ( its glorious in Cumbria ) and wait for some good news instead of waiting for all the bad.

So you post on here because you are tired of people moaning but then moan about the moaners-remind me how the logic works there then

    False rumours...?

What a clown you are.  I made this up?  Took me 5 minutes to find these threads.

    https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/members/rochdale/forum/220338/end-of-season-do--65!!/#281

There are plenty of other similar threads there...and all over the forum mentions of #teamrochdale being a joke, including actual abuse from directors toward fans at games. I’m not saying Dale is a mess by any means, but to hold them as shining example of harmony between club and fans is rather odd. To suggest and act like we are the only club with fan and club issues is also very silly.

You are are the one who is obsessed. You are just a WUM with nothing constructive or positive to say about a club you purport to support.

    You are pointless.

    Tittle tattle on a forum.

You spent the last 6 months of last season claiming Dale had financial problems and would never in million years avoid relegation.

Remind me Einstein how that worked out.

    I agree totally.

But after the seasons goings on at Dale I don’t think they are the best example. A lot of disgruntled fans following a series of unfortunate events. Season ticket debacle, the announcer, the coaches, the end of season rip off dinner. Club execs attitudes to fans. Etc etc.

Yawn. You are bigoted, narrow minded and obsessed. Peddling false rumour.
