You have actually watched a football match, haven't you? A Latics match, of course.
Let's not let the actual facts get in the way of a good sarcy comment.

He won't.

Pot/Kettle Been through it with several different midfielders who invariably end up in the 4th division.
Plenty of dummies coming out tonight.

Which is exactly what Fane does. Wins the ball and plays a simple pass to a more creative player.
He cannot pass f--ing water and actually does not win the ball very often.
As for also not scoring any goals yet and being incapable of winning headers I cannot think of much to recommend him.

I liked Lee Johnson and still do but the way he used Korey Smith with us was footballing sacrilege. What a waste.
It was what was required with the squad that we had then-precisely the same philosophy that you have spent the vast majority of this thread putting forward.

So why did Bristol city sign our Defensive midfielder Korey Smith amd then go and win the league getting 100 points?
Because they ignored the 'critics' on OWTB who slagged him off but voted Weso(fcukin)lowski Player of the Season

I really like Fane but we still concede a lot with him playing. He offers nothing going forward imo
May I ask again. So why do you like Fane?

Exactly the side I’d go for, that. As much as I like Fane we still concede a shit ton with him in, he isn’t doing a great job of protecting the defence. Get McLaughlin and Nepo putting balls in the box and I think we’ll win.
So please explain why you like Fane then!

What year was it when one of our outfield players (Jon Bowden?) went in goal to replace an injured goalie and made some good saves?
we all sang ‘England’s no.1’
Wasnt it Ian Marshall?

They've lost their last 5, scoring 2 goals - 4 losses in the league, one in the cup. Guaranteed away win.
We are pretty shit and watched by 3500. Imagine being shit in front of crowds of 19000

I suppose the are centre backs out of contract to be investigated?
Unfortunately Gerrard is not one of them

I reckon we will sign a centre half this week and push Bryan further forward...
So did Wellens apparently.

Which beggars the question, do you have to be retired as a copper to be thick as pigshit?
I refuse to answer that until my brief gets here

It's sometimes forgotten football is a team game and players like Banks could very well fit into some clubs game plan, they don't have to be a great individual.
It helps too if they are played or stay in the correct position.
Perhaps we might be able to get that through to Byrne pretty sharpish.
It is patently obvious why Wigan wanted rid

to appease the North Stand and play 2 up front from the kick off

But do the advantages of his connections still established outweigh the disadvantages. Too early to tell.
I am not, at this stage, of any opinion. merely stating what I believe the situation to actually be and hence why we should not be surprised at all by recent events.
What other reasons could there be to spend more than £1 buying a loss making football club without a ground in the shadow of 2 of the biggest clubs in the world?

Skim-read some of the comments on here...one thing that's got my head shaking is the amount of negatives Byrne is getting. The lad played several decent balls forward on Saturday that others either reacted too late to get onto, didn't read at all or just couldn't be bothered making the run for. Was frustrating to fuck. Then fans moan at Byrne instead of the player who should've been getting onto it. Indeed, the goal came from Byrne feeding Davies. Another almost saw their lad getting a red card in the first half for pulling Davies down. Is it just me that's seeing Byrne do what he did during our better spell, but barely any player getting onto these passes? As others have said, some of these lads appear to be just thick footballers.
Meanwhile elsewhere, it was the Pringle-Gardener crab show. Pass ---> pass ----> pass ----> pass ----> pass ---->sometimes backwards pass.....amount of times the two had chance to get close together and try a 1-2 to work through the traffic but never bothered and merrily passed the hot potato sideways. Give me a Byrne all day trying to forward pass over these two crabs. I'll admit though, I want to see more of Pringle. Once he's a few games under his belt, he may start to click.
Footballers are usually thick. Have you only just realised?
Byrne probably more than most as he spends large parts of the match in the wrong positions
-
Wouldnt it have simply been better if the EFL had rules in place to stop an Agent becoming owner of a football club?

I live next door to a retired copper Thick as pigshit he is.

Anthony Gee was brought in to assist in finding a buyer for the club, hence no longer required.
If we are starting to try to re-write history regarding others then it is not going to hold water.

I think you might be disappointed as he strikes me as the type we're not going to hear too much from.
I was sat only 10 foot away on Saturday for his speech and hardly heard any of it so you might be correct

Except that the car parking isn't free for the 100 club, merely part of the cost of the season ticket price. And for clarity, most 100 club members are not privileged types, most are just of an age where they spend their available cash on their particular love and interest with a modicum of comfort and convenience.
And there was me thinking that I was surrounded by the great and the good on Saturday. It would be like living in Uppermill

As for parking, you have to obtain a pass in the week prior to a match day to get in the car park. There aren't many available and it is a first come, first served basis...
For the 100 club and people in the boxes parking is free, convenient and pleasantly surrounded by small trees and bushes.
One even has working class people to move the cones if one desires. I have no complaints.
For the plebs there is always the bus or tram (whatever that is) or B & Q. It is the way of the modern world.

There are none so blind as those who will not see!
If you actually watched the games you would see how little he actually adds to the team and what he misses.
It is a game of opinions and you think that others are not allowed to disagree with yours. You are wrong. My opinion is as valid as yours but it is more correct.
Other posters will agree with you but I had the same type of arguments about Wesolowski and Winchester who were both (and ended up as) 4th division players. Bye x
