Jonny is excellent in speeding up the game and creating opportunities from the back. That worked wonderfully whilst we were on a good run. It's not what we need right now and his weaknesses are being painfully exposed.

I do not think that Goalkeeper is a major problem but left back is and needs sorting out this week, hopefully with the new french lad.

Our main problem is plain for anyone to see, being how to incorporate Byrne in a team with 2 up top! That is what Wellens is struggling with.

Plus point, the new kid up front looks very very good. Pretty obvious to anyone that he should have been on from the start. Why sign him and bench him. Too much loyalty shown to some players in the last dozen games.

Me thinks that as soon as you start quoting extremes you are losing the discussion.

By the way his tackling is not that good-it can be dramatic at times but it is not consistently effective plus he cannot read the game.

Tell me has he ever looked like scoring a goal? People have been joking on here about his attempts at goal-he plays in midfield and as such is expected to pose some sort of threat. Does he ever head the ball-he is 6 ft something. Can he pass a ball-people post about how his passing is improving-yes but from what sort of base line? Yes he seems to have an engine but so what if you cannot do something with a ball.

We have several posters on here who have done scouting and have worked for league clubs-be interested to know what they think of him as a player?

Bravo. The acceptance of Fane as anything other than a squad player just illustrates how far the club has fallen and how shite this league actually is.

Most clubs survive without a Russian Oligarch. There are actually many clubs between the 2 extremes of Chelsea and Stockport, in fact 99% of clubs.
