Are you sure? certainly reads as sarcasm..
Somebody commented saying something along the lines of it being a load of tosh and we will struggle like Wrexham to ever get back into the league structure if we’re relegated, the OP responded that we should count our blessings because Bury FC might not exist very soon. He seemed very serious.

I've joined the realistic Oldham Athletic fans group on Facebook, I can inform you all they are NOT realistic, deluded very much so. They should change their name.
This kind of shit is posted on a daily basis. Anybody who dares to criticise the owner is banned and has all their posts deleted.

I think the original post is well written and spot on. Most of our players are young men and boys at the start of thier career. Some of these boys have joined Latics to start their journey into being a football player, our captain Maouche included. The fact is they've been sold a dream. The dream to get on the ladder at a football league club. They are going to sign, baring in mind that some have played at clubs where it hasn't worked for them at a different level. For some, this is their shot at making it, ie we maybe their last port of call.
I didn't see what happened at the end of the Bradford game, I didn't experience it first hand but what I've read and seen videos of is disgraceful at full time.
How can someone grab and threaten a young lad who has tried his hardest in a crap situation (Desire). How can someone threaten a player that IMHO has been one of the better players signed by this dictatorship (Nepo). On top of this, a fan gets knocked out by a fellow 'fan' for what? Most people don't seem to know. The players are the front line, customer facing people of the club, yes. But they haven't chosen to be the human shield of the puppet masters above.
We are Oldham fans. As far as I'm aware, most of us are not feral. The anger can not be and should not be directed at fellow fans or, as much as it's infuriating to watch, the kids on the pitch. I'm angry, very angry at the state of affairs at our club. I've had a pop in social media but I'm coming to realise getting angry with the players is not going to solve anything. The anger generated lies solely with those who have put everyone in an awful, toxic, pressured situation. The Lemsagam brothers, not those young men that play for the club.
I don’t disagree with the overall premise of your post, but Maouche and Desire are 26...

I genuinely feel for the players, it needs to be made clear that we don’t blame them.
The vitriol should be aimed at the owners running us into the ground,

Undoubtably there’s bigger problems. He looks ok at best from what I’ve seen so far, that’s it.
‘Good signing’ is certainly pushing it.

Why, according to him he's never wrong on a player. Woods prime example. Still won't admit he looks a good signing
Hardly Ripley is he?

Half don't look good enough half look decent. Same as last 20 years
I'm still waiting for BP's updated views on Woods who he said was shite because someone told him
Who are the half decent lads?

All the sniping at BP1960 is embarrassing btw.
Recommended us Surridge who is miles better than any of Lemmy’s boys.

First season: relegated to the fourth tier for the first time since the 1960s.
Second season: lowest league finish since 1970.
Third season: rock bottom of the Football League and on course to become the first ever ex-Premier League club to be relegated into non-league.
Get out of our club you toxic cunts. Take your shite recruits with you.

Banides is quite clearly not up to the job the longer he is manager the more likely it is we will get relegated given the choice i would snap your hands of with Murray being appointed.
No gaffer would thrive in the conditions imposed upon them by these jokers. Focus your attention elsewhere, Banny is a puppet.

Scholes is single handedly responsible for ending what exactly?
Our non-Scholes points per game would have seen us 11th over the season instead of 14th.
Or another way of looking at it, if you take our points per game from the day he took over and stretched that til the end of the season we’d have finished 13th instead of 14th.
Don’t let facts get in the way of a good old Abdallah arse licking session

Patient? For What? Hes going to turn this round is he.
"But we've no alternative" Yes we do tge FLG are waiting in the wings they won't be white knights in shining armour but I would rather take my chances with them.
As for a protest or a boycott We never actually protested against Corney and his mates perhaps had we done he might have gone earlier and sold us onto someone.
The only time we properly protested against anything was when the council rejected the planning permission for the Oldham Arena. That decision because we all came together got overturned. Alright that didn't get built but it was fans pressure that got the planning permission its just that Blitz, Corney and Gazal fucked it up. If we hadn't rallied together in 2003 the club would have died. How many games has our 12th man won us particularly away from home? We have more influence and power than we give ourselves credit for sometimes. If we come together and genuinely apply pressure we might get him out the club before he completely destroys it. He clearly has no money and what money we have we will be out of very soon Fan pressure might be thing that forces him out sooner rather than later.
The stakes couldn't be any higher right now. Our status as a football league club for over 120 years is under threat and with it the very future of the football club.
There were some, but the usual suspects (many of whom now defend Abdallah to the hilt) made smart comments and generally took the piss...

It’s definitely him btw, club have confirmed it to Mike Minay from the Beeb.

Definitely for me. That was our main derby from the mid-noughties until they went up.
