In my opinion Abdallah is just using the Trust. Funny how he’s only invited them onto the board, after 16 months of completely ignoring their repeated attempts to contact, just as they’re mobilising the wider fanbase against him and calling for protests.
Once the fans have lost faith in the Trust for becoming a mouthpiece for the club he will fuck them off and go back to being the sole director running the club as he wishes knowing that the fans don’t have faith in the only vehicle which can hold him to account in any feasible way.
Latics really have made me a cynical fucker...

Can't see Jose being on a very big wedge considering we're the only club to give him a shot at first team football since his issues. Gutted he's gone tbh, should be building the team around him. Top lad, too.

Byrne will have been on more than all 3 of those, maybe than all 3 combined. He was paid off.
I know Gerrard was sacked, but did that cost us? Obviously in the real world if you get sacked you get nothing, but football isn’t always like that.

Can you protest about things being a bit shit? We are not in Blackpool/Bolton/Coventry territory.
I honestly don’t believe we are far off. There are clear parallels with Leyton Orient a few years ago.

Has Benteke been injured much this season? I can't recall him being out for any major length of time?
Played just 38 minutes since the start of November, don't understand how we see fit to offer him a new deal yet he's been surplus to requirements since November!
Spot on Shucky! Baffling.

The support the team lads are directly funding our demise, the sooner the chuckle brothers get bored and fuck off (much more likely if they’re being starved of significant ticket revenue) the better.
As @deyres42 says, no more pennies for the Lemmies...

Gerrard was very well liked by most of his teammates...

Poor them by Hummel’s standards as they normally produce very smart kits, shite and Sondicoesque these...
Ah well, I haven’t bought one for years anyway so I’ll leave it at that rather than excessively moaning about something so minor when there’s much more pressing issues at oafc.

Did he tell you why he’s been ignoring you for the last 12 months?

Hummel do some decent kits, intrigued to see these!

4th tier sized club, us...

Not having we’re a 4th tier sized club. Our (home) crowds might be poor after years of mismanagement by our various different owners but Oldham Athletic are so much bigger than this joke of a league, facts.

With next year’s season ticket money just coming in does nobody else find it very worrying that we’re struggling to pay the wages (if true)?
-
If the L1 bottom four stays as it is you’d imagine all (maybe barring Walsall) will have a much larger budget than us and there’s also a chance that one of the moneyball clubs from the Conference wins the play-offs. I’m expecting it to be a significantly stronger league next season.

Can’t gelieve we’re all still going on about this whinge session by an ex manager who was a real wimp and lost us the chance of the play offs. He sounds pathetic to listen to as he admits himself when he mentioned the things that Morecambe’ manager deals with. Also what happened to the what happens in desiring room stays in the dressing room? He was dumping big time on Missilou, Clarke and the owner on Sky of all places! None of the other pundits had the nous to tell him welcome to the real world of lower league and amateur football.
Compare this with PW, who has to live in the real world. COYB!

To a degree but I don't know of any lower league sides who have achieved success with a load of foreigners.
How many lower league sides have recruited them in large numbers?

We have a 1 year option on Maouche
I wouldn’t be taking that up based on his current wages. Renegotiation needed or let go imo, 4K a week is a hell of a lot at this level

Who’s offering Andy Taylor a new contract?
Most disappointing signing since Ryan Flynn, was really expecting him to be a consistent 7/10 and in the starting 11 every week

4 Latics fans would give O’Grady a new contract. Please god no.
Harsh. He’s never a lone forward (don’t get why he’s still played like this in some games) but he’s been a consistently good performer in a front 2 imo barring a few stinkers. I would personally keep as a rotation option as we could do a lot worse based on some of the donkeys we’ve lined up against this season.

I don’t think the Trust realise how much damage they’re doing themselves by jumping into bed with the owner. This guy has lied to and ignored you since he became owner in January of last year yet you’re suddenly getting positive vibes because he’s finally offered you a seat on the board just as you’re mobilising the fans against him. The whole thing stinks.
I hope I’m wrong (I can’t stress this enough and I really appreciate that you are all volunteers) but I can’t see the Trust ever recovering from this if the owner continues to run the club as he is currently doing with them on the board of directors, the fans will lose faith very quickly. Please once Darren has become a director be firm with AL and stick to your principles - don’t be fooled by his lies.
