Well firstly, that's some crystal ball you have, but yes I do get what you are saying Ryan. It still doesn't alter the fact this type of thing as gone on a long time at most if not all clubs. Half the time we don't even hear about it.

Anyway, we've done this enough. Agree to disagree.

    Fair

So it's OK , some of the time?

Honestly this happens everywhere. Down the era's

“Just remember that Andy Tayls will trigger another year on his contract if he plays again. I’d advise you don’t do that as it’s a significant wage that will reduce your budget for next season when he’s clearly not good enough if we want to challenge for promotion.”

“Morning gaffer. Hunty’s agent has been touting him about behind my back trying to get him a move to a better club with a higher league position. I know it’s not Rob’s fault and I used to do this thing all the time as an agent but it has pissed me off so he won’t be able to play again until I put my toys back in the pram and decide he can come off the naughty step.”

”But Absy he’s one of the first names on my team sheet and we’re still in with a shout of the play-offs.”

Do you see how these two things are different?

  3. Come off it, that’s not the same as what Abdallah’s doing. Emailing the gaffer saying who he should play and banishing players to the youth team because they(/their agents in the case of Hunty) have done something to upset the regime, regardless of their ability/importance to the team, is in no way comparable to making a financial decision to avoid playing a player who is deemed surplus to requirements.

If what you’ve described with Downing is true then that’s what happened at Latics with Andy Taylor last season - I had no problem with that because he was shite...

It would be if I ever claimed he hid it from him. I said he hid debts (LED boards etc) and that Corney never fulfilled his obligation to settle the Necarcu debt. Hence he said he intends to sue him. I hope he does. If he doesn’t, more fool him.

    Apologies, misread your original post.

Still though, it became Abdallah’s obligation once he purchased SC’s shares.

The Necarcu debt is Corneys liability which AL has stated he is suing him for not undertaking his obligations.

You asked for what he’s done. You’ve poured you negativity all over it. Well done. I dont agree with almost all of your “narrative” above but that isn’t news and I’m not interested in keep churning it over 👍🏻

It is OAFC’s liability which Lemmy took on when he purchased the limited company. The charge was on the accounts long before Abdallah got involved so to try and claim Corney hid it from him is ridiculous, all of the fans were aware of it.

He left because the job wasn’t what he wanted. The position of manager was no longer available (a position which would include signing of players). The position offered was Head Coach. If a director or chairman or Head of Football or whoever then signs players, that isn’t interference. I know folk want to promote is that...but it isn’t. That is club policy now. Just like how Ole at the scum won’t sign players or Klopp at Liverpool etc. Fans still haven’t got their heads around the fact the club has moved to that style. Which AL is perfectly entitled to do. Considering AL and whoever he may have as backers is putting in the money to do this, for now, they deserve time to see how it pans out. Promotion in 2yrs he said right? Let’s see it then.

    Wildy was already head ‘coach’.

The idea that we are following the continental model with Mo as our sporting director is laughable.

Firstly, there is no pressure on ML to do a good job, his job is completely safe regardless of the quality of signings he makes because he is a relative of the owner. In the European model the position is highly scrutinised and clubs aren’t afraid to change the individual if they aren’t recruiting a good standard of player.

Secondly, the powers of the sporting director vary between clubs with some having complete autonomy over transfer dealings whilst others just simply act as a negotiator on behalf of the gaffer who identifies his own targets. However, in all instances the head coach still retains complete control over team affairs from tactics to matchday selection which clearly isn’t the case at Latics.

Can you imagine Pep putting up with Txiki telling him who to play and having senior players banished to the naughty step whilst forced to train with youth team? Haha!

One of Abdallah's disciples Mike Halliwell mentioned it on their cult-like facebook group to help downplay concerns after his departure.

I'm becoming really concerned that there's a lot of borderline propaganda coming out of various social media channels and a lot of new accounts are also popping up on the #oafc asking very specific questions. All a bit Russian. Bit too much for a 4th division football club FFS!

    Great group, that.

Big Ste Party is my personal fav but Halliwell is a belter too, both ban anybody who even slightly questions Lemmy.

Agree he could have been a good asset and mentor to the younger guys and has been an awesome player for us.

However if the playing budget is tight which it clearly is, then you cannot just sign Clarke for another season to "use him sparingly". He's probably on a decent salary for a club like us, so if he wasn't up to playing pretty much every game then it was the correct decision to release him IMO.

I 100% agree the way he was released was crap though.

Also the relationship between him and owner seem to have become untenable so I would have thought even if offered a deal Clarke would have walked.

If the owner can justify re-signing Vera and offering Benteke a contract within the parameters of the current playing budget then Clarkey was definitely worth another 2 years...

All hearsay and conjecture - no-one can provide definitive proof or evidence of the actual wage.

I tend not to believe the majority of these type of rumours that go around as they tend to generally be misinformed.

Why didn’t Absy refute the figure when questioned by Sportsmail?

  10. Just now, TheBigDog said:

That’s what I am asking you to do - show that proof.

What do you want? Pictures of contracts?

When Abdallah was questioned about Queensy’s wage he replied saying he wanted to treat the fanbase. If it was untrue surely he would’ve burst out laughing before refuting such a ridiculous figure.

Lots of good people with insider knowledge who care deeply about the club are all singing from the same hymn sheet about these things, they can’t all be lying and/or misinformed.

So why don’t you just post that proof on here instead of resorting to the above?

I was only confirming the part I highlighted with bold text and not the rest of LOF’s post.

There’s proof that we’ve paid over-inflated wages for Abdallah’s players. £4,000 p/w for Mo Maouche, £12,000 p/w for Menig etc - these simply aren’t anywhere near their true market value.

    We’re back here again Andy.

    Maybe, maybe not.

You speculate that that we are spending money we don’t have (maybe in loans) we use that money to pay inflated wages to average players (with no proof) and then that money gives kick backs to his former agency. (With no proof)  In summary the whole club is a mule for him to pay himself and his family . . . Or so you seem to imply in every third post. Without anything to back it up other than just your opinion.

Anyone who offers balance or doesn’t see the whole thing through your narrow prism is deluded. . . 🙄 Clearly not everything is rosy. Nor I am defending AL.  But literally everything you post these days is a conspiracy theory.   !!??!?!??!?- (I couldn’t understand what you were saying without all the punctuation.)

There is 100% proof of this...

Why are fans saying we are signing Chris Eagles, the guy from Forrest and many others, we won’t be signing any known or half decent players,  what we will be signing is players ready for the 20/21 season in none league with Mo as manager

Thoughts on Trust Oldham and the Oldham message board?

Captain's are a bit of an English obsession. And an obsession of fans moreso than players at that...

The forrun's place little importance on them, similar to how they are about managers...

    This simply isn’t true.

When you look at the most successful non-British teams on the continent in recent times they have all had a consistent leader for a number of seasons. Ramos, Godin, Lahm, Iniesta, Zanetti etc
