So he scored his six goals against Scarborough a couple of weeks before his 27th birthday, was that his last game then?
He made the comment on the clubs ifollow video recording that he retired at age 26 so I think this question is better directed at him than me.

Oh I believe you. I'm also often sceptical of Wiki, although that's the sort of information it gets right.
Perhaps Frankie Bunn has misremembered. It's easily done.
I don’t think he’s suffering from dementia just yet.

Well Wiki is wrong on his age then as according to it, he was 27 when he played in the League Cup final.
Listen to the interview on ifollow and you will see I am right and I don’t make things up. Wiki is wrong in a lot of things it publishes.

He was 28. Whilst IIRC he did his cruciates (his knee for the #JargonLads) an injury that doesn’t necessarily result in retirement these days, it wasn’t unusual for it to do so then. They can also happen on grass.
I’m not sure if the evidence indicated that such injuries were more common on artificial pitches than on grass. I’d imagine with the new 3/4 G pitches that any evidence is even less significant.
Wrong listen to Bunns interview Maidstone Part 2 on Ifollow. He actually states he had to retire age 26. I think he knows the age he retired better than you.

Not only have you managed to be factually wrong on FB, but you've made a number of assumptions on: what caused his injury; and why he doesn't like plastic pitches.
I am not wrong. Listen to Bunns interview. He actually stated he had to retire at age 26. Plastic pitches in those days caused far more injuries than they do today

He did say, it was a bit more nuanced in a later answer. He smirked, but did say it. I took it that overall he meant he preferred grass!
Sound quality on my work monitor abysmal though, so hard to hear most of it so might have misunderstood.
https://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/2018/november/30112018-bunn-pre-maidstone-part-two/He doesn’t like plastic because it caused him to retire at age 26. Plastic caused his serious injury. Therefore he is justified in hating plastic.

Surely this is the perfect game to play with Lang & Surridge? We're comfortably the better side and with the likes of Maouche in midfield, it'd make more sense to play balls for Lang & Surridge to run on to rather than Miller to hold up.
I'd also rest Taylor and play Dummigan (and switch Hunt to LB).
Iversen
Dummigan - Clarke - Edmundson - Hunt
Branger - Missilou - Maouche - Nepomuceno
Lang - Surridge
Looks like Missilou will miss the game he has reached 5 yellow cards

Make your mind up.
However, yes, I agree: a good point. With Lincoln arriving on Tuesday, it would have helped us considerably if we'd have been able to hang on, but we can't expect to win a game in this league. We have our standard and we have to earn every point. If we can find a way of scoring the second game, we can have a decent December (Third Round of the FA Cup; perhaps nine points from the five league games) and be in the top 10 come next year.
Surridge returning is crucial.
EDIT: Goal, not game.
If Surridge had been his usual sharp self we would have won that game today. He didn’t take is chance when he got it, simple as that. Can’t blame Bunn for him messing up.

First match, plays 3-5-2. Dicked 4-0.
Post match presser: "there's not a player who can play wingback at the club"
His first excuse of many

Wellens will be gone by Christmas

We have been utter crap

The worst performance from an Oldham team for years. No urgency playing that slow it’s like watching paint dry. If we don’t improve in the second half Bunn should be sacked tomorrow. The players just don’t look like they want to win. As for Gardner what a pathetic player he is.
-
Most good managers don’t go 10 games and win only 4 points. That’s a cracking Shez record.

Currently outside BP anticipating the return of one of our greatest ever managers. Lord John.
I suppose you will be wearing your Carlisle shirt then today. You know I can’t understand you. Why support a previous manager who yes saved us from two relegations but also let us down badly on two occasions. Traitor to the OAFC cause comes to mind. Hope he buys you a pint after the game. It’s about all you bloody deserve.

He was responding to a post about Davies being injured as standard. Nothing to do with his mentality.
What ever. To me if your mind is not on your job it can be just as bad as any physical injury. Anyway he’s just an average striker with mercenary tendenses.

Still failing to see how your point is linked to my point. I'm stating he's fit, played and was available to play in at least 40 of the 46 possible league matches ....
Maybe he was fit physically but was he mentally fit???? You fail to get my point. After January his mind was else where.

What's that got to do with anything. The point I made was in relation to someone calling him being injured as 'standard' I was merely pointing the FACT out that he played in 40 of our 46 league games. For the remaining six I can't be bothered to check if he was dropped/an unused sub. So he could have actually been available for more. I was claiming he was superb or a key player, I was stating he's hardly ever been out injured throughout his career, never mind to a point were someone can claim it's 'standard'
He might have scored 11 but two where lucky rebounds off badly taken penalties and a lot of the others where Lucky miss hit shots or tap ins from Doyle’s set up passes. He’s an average striker at best.

How is it standard? The lad played in 40 of our 46 league games last season ....
However in how many of those 40 could you say he was a team player and was he really trying ? After his spat with AL in January he didn’t seem to want to play. Spat his dummy out because he could not force a move.

Have you checked your internet speed?
speedtest.net
Yes I have the app thanks. It’s not the speed. Every week there is something wrong. Last week the sound was really bad but pictures where better. I am not the only one who is complaining.
-
Absolute rubbish service today . Picture kept freezing and it would not function after half time. Eventually rebooted and got it going but bloody annoying when Surridge shot you could see the ball going towards the net and the picture went off again. This service must be the worst in the world

Nobody was as bad post March as Eoin Doyle, yet he is still lauded as a saviour...
Ridiculous you can’t say that . He was coming back from a serious medical problem and he never posed a threat with bad attitude problems. In fact he was a model professional like Clarke.

Craig Davies? Or fat lad?
“Playing staff” kinda renders the quote worthless. What you mean is “one of his pals in the team”.
So Ryan do you really support OAFC? I ask you this because it seems to please you that a member of the playing staff could call your team TIN POT OLDHAM. You know with comments like that from the players it’s no wonder we went down. Obviously they where only there to pick up a salary and didn’t care if we stayed up or not. I am so glad they have now left the club. May they be happy at the shit holes of Mansfield, Carlisle and Kilmarnock.

Fane was all set to go as well the week Byrne broke his leg, fee agreed with another club and the deal was all but done and dusted, compounded what happened on the training ground and was a double whammy for the club, suspect Fane will also be moved out at the first opportunity.
Rumour has it he was going to Lincoln

He was a great servant for Oldham Athletic and I wish him well in his new appointment. Great pity he has had to leave in such circumstances.
