I thought the most improved player today was Branger. He looks a great find, technically very good and will only get better.

Yes you make your own luck when you have players playing as a team for each other

If my posts annoy you that much you have the option to block me. I’m not forcing anyone to read what I put on here.
Concentrate your energy on moving forward and look forward to seeing new signings. Byrne is an ex player and no amount of moaning or trying to argue your case will bring him back.

Bollocks like this is what’s pissing me off...
These players you speak about and blame us for our relegation wasn’t being paid, while shit like omrani and queensy and maouche were being paid in buckets. And you want them to perform to their highest and drag the rest of the shit to a high standard to keep us up.
Any idea that it was the shit players (of which most the shit ‘nice’ players are still here) got us relegated? (And the manager).
Lots of things helped to send us down last season. Players we had that thought they where better than league one , a shit manager and a new owner who made massive mistakes because he was inexperienced . For god sake we now have players fighting for the cause , a management team that is OAFC through and through and an owner trying his best to rectify his mistakes. We need to move on and get behind the owner, management team and the players and put last year to bed once and for all.

Yeah probably Smiler, lots of stuff needs to be taken with a pinch of salt on here, i recall some idiot in the Phillippines ages ago saying Byrne had already left the club. Laughable eh
Well yes theoretically he had he’s never been near the first team for weeks. I told you all that he had gone and he had gone from being actively involved with the first team. Let’s all move on and wish him the best at Kilmarnock.

All hail Lemsagam!
Finally an owner that puts the club first!
Whisper it, but we might just be a club that’s getting a decent reputation again. One were fat bastards, gobshite’s, and delusions of grandeur aren’t welcome.
Amen to that!!!
I notice the likes of Clarke haven’t been hounded out. I wonder why. . .
Don’t want to get on board the good ship latics. . . . ?
Fuck.
Off.
Bravo someone with some sense

If Bunn had documented it,it would have been like writing his own P45,although I would suspect that there are no P45s left in the BP office.
That’s exactly why it’s NOT been documented by Bunn

Jack, Good Luck and Good Bye.
Good luck Jack I hope you have learned a hard lesson that no footballer is bigger than the club they play for. Hope you get your attitude sorted because you can be a truly great player when you put your mind to it.

I think Bunn had said he would have liked to have the chance to play Byrne, or words to that effect.
I have listened to all his interviews and when it’s been brought up he has always said that the matter was being dealt with internally and he would not comment on the issue. That’s always been his stance. So I think someone is making this up. He’s never stated in public that he wanted to keep Byrne.

It’s well documented that Bunn wanted Jack back out on the pitch. Why didn’t he stand up to the chairman on this one? He should’ve demanded that if Jack is sold his wages will be reinvested into the playing squad after the mass of cuts this summer. If you really loved our club and the fans you’d have shown some backbone. Fucking coward.
Lemsagam and Bunn want to pray that Baxter doesn’t get injured this season. As soon as he does we’ll be seriously lacking in creativity and it’s going to turn toxic very quickly with the style of football we are playing. You reap what you sow.
Proof of where it’s well documented that Bunn wanted to keep him Ryan? I’ve not seen any . So where is it??,
-
Not necessarily he could be loaned out to non league or have his contract terminated . No other league club wants him and I wonder why????

It’s not so much his ability, it’s more his attitude. You need both really but he can’t seem to see it. I’ve said it before, he needs to grow up quickly if he really wants to be a professional footballer otherwise before he knows it he will be looked on as ‘not worth the hassle’ and he’ll end up back in Ireland.
I have never said that he does not posses ability or that he’s not technically gifted. He’s got loads of both however the problem is he doesn’t use it enough. If he had played well at the end of last season we would be still in League1 and if he was that brilliant dont you think that teams would be queing up to sign him but they are not interested. That’s why I say he’s over rated. He’s been the same at every club that’s signed him.

Have you ever seen him play?
Yes many times last season at BP spitting is dummy out when subbed and shouting abuse at his manager on the way off the pitch. We don’t need players like that with massive attitude problems.

Like he ripped apart all those teams the back end of last season ?
He’s the most over rated player that as ever graced the turf of BP.

I’m not making the rules up here sunshine....
A bit weird that you don’t count Wembley as an away. On the day forest where classed as the home team and we where classed as the away team. Anyway like you say it’s your thread. Perhaps the thread should have said away attendance at a league ground and not the national stadium. It’s a bit unclear for a thread.

The League Cup game we got more.... the whole end behind the goal.... and we filled it.
Didn’t we take about 36,000 to Wembley for that game against Notts Forest?

42,000 v Liverpool FA Cup early 1960's
Yes I can confirm that this is true because I was there and witnessed being done out of a goal that bounced down off the bar behind the line at the Chaddy End. We lost 1-2 but it should have gone to a replay. Fantastic atmosphere and the most people ever to be squeezed in to BP

Was i wrong with the names? if so i apologise for jumping the gun.
I agree with many things you say, the atmosphere among the staff and players appears from the outside healthy which i do put down to the effect Bunn and Rhodes are having at the club, this is a positive aspect.
There are some things the owner has done which are positive,as you say the naming of the stands but then his management of the club staff has been questionable to say the least.
I do respect what you and other posters say but there are too many here who will not look at both sides of an argument and just want to instantly dismiss everything certain people post without offering a different opinion.
Good and bad everywhere.
I think if you read back my above post you will read that I said that he’s admitted his mistakes of last season and that he’s trying to make a new start. Yes I have got concerns about him like many others however he’s a new owner with very little experience of running a football club. He’s invested heavily, made mistakes and paid the price for those mistakes. In life we all make mistakes that’s because we are not robots we are humans and I always think that people should be given another chance to right the wrongs that they are guilty of. So as far as I am concerned the Jury is still out on AL , however he does seem to be not medalling in team affairs and he is trying to bring a better feel good factor to the club so I am prepared at this moment of time to give him the benefit of the doubt. I do though understand your concerns.

I assume you are referring to Davies and Gerrard as the wrong type !
Both of these wrong types have quickly got fixed up away from here, all depends on your idea of a wrong type.
Maybe they thought that the owner of our club is the wrong type, afterall they know more than us. I am pretty sure Jack Byrne thinks the Owner may be the wrong type now.
Too many people are overly critical to Byrne,Gerrard and Davies whilst Lemsagam is viewed as some sort of Hero.
You may be wrong, you may be very wrong.....
Please take note I mentioned no names and therefore I ask you are you not paranoid and over protective of the players you have named. I wrote my post in response to watching and listening to examples of video links posted. So do you not agree that there is a better feeling at the club than there has been for a long time. The players playing in our current team are not playing as individuals who think that they are better than they actually are, they are playing as a team and fighting for each other. The management are taking no sides with players as was the case last season and are creating a happy bunch of players who want to do well for the club. The atmosphere is improving all the time due to the positive attitude of the playing management and long may it continue. As for the owner if I had pumped millions into a club where I thought there was potential and I had been let down badly by my staff, I too would be trying to get to the cause and get rid of personal who where not prepared to give 100%+ for the club that I had heavily invested in. I personally think AL is doing a good job. The ground improvements are very wellcome and he’s appointed a management team who actually care about OAFC. We have had two stands named and signed in honour of the best two managers that we have ever had. I am not saying he didn’t make mistakes last season because he would admit himself that he has but this season starting with a new approach and positive people around him I think he’s made a good start and we should all get behind him, the playing management team and the players that now seem to care for the club that they are employed with. Past playing staff to me are no longer important, they are the past and they are entitled to their opinions on what ever media they wish to express it as you or I am. That’s what makes this an Opinions for you forum . We express our thoughts one way or an other. It’s called freedom of speech.

Thanks for posting all the links and having watched them all there is only one video being the second on the list that gives us an incite into the young Jack Byrne. During his time as a young player yes he showed great talent and still does. He lost his dad when 11 and this obviously had a very big effect on him. That’s a sad part of his life. It’s not easy to get over such a loss at that age. This video makes it clear that he’s the sort of player who would respond well to a manager putting his arm around him and making him realise that he’s wanted. However there are things said about him that are still in his game today. Such as him having a go at the ref from an early age, that he always wanted the ball from his team mates or he got upset. This is still in his game. The rest of the videos in Croatia tell us more about his mates than himself and the last video is a Jack Byrne ego trip of his footballing highlights. There is no doubt he’s a great talent but there is nothing in these videos that tell us about the Jack Byrne of today. He seems to be easily influenced by more senior professional players of the wrong type.

That’s a sad outcome for Green. He’s been a great player over the years. I just hope that this does not finish his carrier.

Think Deyres is pointing out that no one is in a rush to praise Gerrard keeping a clean sheet but ready to berate him when his side does concede.
My god I didn’t realise that Carlisle played with only one defender last weekend. Must be some record to keep a clean sheet with no keeper and only one centre back playing.

Some wank material for you right there.
It always starts of well with him but just wait till the cunty version emerges, won't take long.
He won’t last the whole season without him breaking down. He has not finished the last two seasons because of injury due to him not being fit.
