The Coaches Voice looks an authentic site to me.

Well bully for him. In other industries (or the real world) that’s often a way of getting your foot in the door, shadowing or doing some voluntary work beforehand. Didn’t LJ say he’d spent a lot of time on the continent observing how other teams train and prepare for games. Doubt he got paid either.
He’s becoming boring now. Two similar articles in a week bulling himself up to be the best coach ever, then saying he’s made mistakes over and over again. Trying to make out he’s got what it takes to be a great manager now after all his failings . Oh yes it was never his fault because it was one circumstance after another that caused his problems . However the most important sentence in the article for me is when he says the players found him out. Interesting phrase for someone who thinks he’s gods gift to coaching.

So we’ve got father figures to the players in Bunn and Rhodes and maybe a grandad figure for them too.
No bad thing if it’s true. Lots of experience there of handling different types and characters of players.

Says hes a coach at Supersport United on wiki
Yes a South African team. According to Barnsley fans he’s a no nonsense sort of coach in the mould of Roy Hodgson. Just what Jack Byrne needs. Hehehe

Players brought in from AL were fixed up in hotels or apartments in manchester and given flash cars leased through the club. Patrick Mceleny ended up in digs.
You have no proof all speculation Kusunga who was never god.

What do they coach into keepers these days????
When I was a goalie I was taught -
1/ - IF you can't catch it push it away towards the touchline or out for a corner.
2/ - When diving to make a save always go with the hand which ever side the ball is going.
On the goal Pickford got his fingertips to it with his left hand, going with his right would have given him another 4 inches of stretch.
Basic stuff but appears lacking in most goalies at all levels.
He should not be England keeper. Pope is sitting on the bench and is much better.

Has Pickford been training with Johnny ?
Could be they are both internationals hehe. Pope should be between the sticks he’s a much better keeper than Pickford.

Don't you just love predictive text?
But I get what you mean, even though I'm not in full agreement. The players take a huge chunk of the blame simply because they failed to perform to their potential.
Lol yes predictive text is a pain , however so where the players that Wellens brought in.,

I'm suggesting that alarm bells should be ringing when a load of players, that clearly arn't good enough, are bought in to the club and paid ridiculously high salaries compared to the players that probably are up to the job.
I think we can all agree that Wellens had his flaws but, in my opinion, the owner's decision to bring in a load of his players, that the manager didn't want and weren't good enough on high salaries divided the dressing room and was probably a big (if not the biggest..) factor in us going down. It would take an exceptional manager to work under those conditions.
Problem is nobody really has any proof that AL’s signings where on a lot more money. Only player that has been declared as being on more salary was Queensy. So you are just speculating that this might be a reason. I think it was Wellens bad handling of his players and not being able to motivate them. If we had stuck on a lot more of the younger players instead of pre Madonna’s then we might have stayed up. Wellens brought in Benyu (lightweight) Pringle (unfit) Mcelleny ( home sick puppy) and none of them had any fight in them for the cause. ONLY ONE PERSON to BLAME WELLENS

Should be completely optimistic and have a category for both to win. Here’s hoping.

I think the future owner adding a number of foreign players to the squad on inflated wages might have been a bigger cause...
Can’t disagree with you on that being a cause either. Lots of factors made it an arsehole of a season.
-
No they can’t be dismissed but the big divisions in the dressing room where caused by Wellens continuing to criticise some players in public. You don’t do that if you are a good manager.

I don’t get why Wellens gets any credit from some on here. His record after that initial burst was absolutely woeful. He comes out of the situation with zero credit for me. He has a hell of a lot to learn about his demeanour and communication. Good leadership rarely (never) includes adopting a constant blame and excuse culture typically in a confrontational tone. Scally.
When a manager starts to criticise his own players in public it means he has lost the dressing room and players will no longer get motivated. This is what he did and from that day onward things went down hill. A good manager Mr Wellens keeps things in house and does not go public to all and sundry. You where brought up with Mr Ferguson so you should have known better. I hope you have learned your lesson but doubt it.

Agree. Was interesting to see that he and Edmondson showed plenty of heart when playing, in contrast to their more senior peers, who didn't look as if they could be arsed half of the time.
Yes I know what you mean. That's why I would play both of them this season.

Much better than his brother MC but he was caught out of position a few times in his early games. Has the makings of a good pro when he inevitably learns and if supporters cut him the slack his youth warrants.
At least he wears his heart on his sleeve and will only keep improving with game time

The cynic in me reckons he's on a recovery mission.
Maybe hes learned to keep his mouth shut and not to disclose juicy news to his media pals letting the, owner, and fans down of our great club. Nobody wants a manager who goes running to the press when things get tough.
Wellens
