Starting from the United league game at Old Trafford we played 8 League games to the end of the season and got 3 points. Relegated by 3 points! Tottenham beat us at Boundary Park in our penultimate game (played on Thursday night). If we had won that then Tottenham would have been relegated and we would have stayed up. Milligan was either sent off very early or they deliberately injured him.

didnt the spurs game get postponed due to our beach being waterlogged they were dire and struggling for players due to injurys and there for the taking .by the time of the rearanged game all their stars were back typical of our luck

I think so. And it would be applied next season now.... if they still exist.

I was just reading some more stuff on Bolton's situation. Someone claiming to know about the due diligence process says the actual debts are over £20million more than were being suggested.

Looking more like administration for them the longer it drags on.

EFL can increace it to 25 at theyre discretion ala luton & dirtyleeds  a few years ago

You'd be surprised how many fans who go to matches have little knowledge of what goes on. When I'm travelling to or returning from a game on the bus, and general discussions I hear, people just don't know. They used to depend on the Chron. for info. but now it's not printed they have no means of knowing about the club in general.

one wonders if the Chron was still in print would ALs handling of the club have been more exposed than it is and would the resulting protest have been bigger and more vocal .and re boycotting games protest at games all you want hes got your money he will just ignore you i know i would sticks and stones and all that .hit him in the pocket and he HAS  to take notice or hes a bigger idiot than we thought

Interesting thread. There is little doubt that the police, by and large, still treat football fans (particularly large away followings) in an appalling way.

I`ve not got a particular problem with them targetting the trouble causers in an aggressive way but they just seem to have a real attitude problem with all travelling  folk at a big event It's an institutional problem that needs sorting.pretty much the same at any Demo no matter how peacfull have had to deal with some of them whilst on the picket line and thier attitude stank

    there fixed it for you

  5. for me now its all about next season will he keep wild will he give a free hand for recruitment with funds to back it up  or will it be wild gone in june dithering till mid august with a replacement  and lots of cheap french league 4,5, & 6 nobodys the former and he has a chance the latter and can see our attendances dropping massivley

If Bolton look as though they are going to be relegated anyway, is there not a case for a potential buyer waiting for them to go into administration and then buy the assets cheaper like Ashley seems to be doing with most of the High St?

12 point deduction from the start of next season if they do .EFL can increase if they think impropriety has taken place ala Lutons 25 point deduction some years ago

  7. nd he finnaly surfaces this could be fun

Oldham Trust is deceitful, liars, & getting money out of fans under false pretence they are against OAFC2004 & chairman & trying to split fans. I will produce some of this evidence soon Im just waiting for there next step they forget things came from their last chairman & a director who left. Diane who left them after being the longest serving member because of what they are trying to do to our club she didn't want to be part of it. Don't join oldham Trust they are just after your money they have never stood for the fan in all the time they been going they are a corrupt organization misleading fans.

He can't even put a sentence together so there was never any danger of him applying for the board role.

Not happy how he has seemingly elected himself as the head OAFC fan now...

and that for me is the danger he has AL ear and can claim to speak for his group of 1k+ fans against the trusts membership of ???  needs to be kept an eye on as he comes over as very pro AL

Trust Oldham - there comes a time when you simply have to "do the right thing". It's obvious to a blind man with a stick that that time is now.

You should immediately break ties with the club and become a powerful independent supporters' initiative - because boy are we going to need solidarity as fans going forward.

Your "position" on the board is worthless - as is the shareholding in all honesty. If/when the shit really hits the fan, Trust Oldham, in its present guise, will be impotent despite all the pretence over the years that Trust Oldham holds some kind of position as "potential saviour".

Send the strongest message to our owner that we have had enough of being treated like idiots. It's OUR football club and we all need to gather under one banner and prepare to fight a long war.

I`m honestly not having a go - you have an opportunity now to do something really useful - but only by severing ties with a club in serious decline. We need a strong, INDEPENDENT supporters' trust.

this you need to stop being doormatts its got you and the fans you represent no where you should be front and center of any protest movement leading it strong and from the front otherwise you are just gonna be sidelined and marginalised stuff lemsgaham cos hes merrily stuffing you wake up read the moid before its too late
