I dunno if my memory's fading but i have absolute no recollection of Cameron Burgess.

Liam Kelly also played for Coventry in the game.

Scored a worldy against Bradford I think

Well done. He was shite 8 years ago when we needed him to be good. So means nothing he is doing OK 8 years later

Says more about @GKing521 than it does about @mcfluff1985. Christ on skates.

He's a strange individual. Burgess was gash for us 8 years ago

My memory of him is an early season fixture in the FL Trophy when he partnered ironically Edmondson at centrehalf against Carlisle at home, Burgess was hands down Carlisles best player even scoring an own goal in a 5-4 defeat in which we came back and should of won but lost to the ten men Carlisle with a late Charlie Wyke winner, if I remember correctly Burgess remained in he team and Edmondson was made a bit of a scapegoat and promptly shipped out on loan to Alfreton and didn't play for us again for quite a few month.

Both have done very well and it probably demonstrates why it's unfair to write youngsters off particularly goalkeepers and defenders who develop both physically and mentally with age. Remember when Tarky used to get pelters and you had some 'judges' on here claiming we'd done well to get 300k out of Brentford. He's not done too shabby for a player with no pace.

Yep. Burgess was awful. Piss poor when he was here

Again, can only be perception but our ability to recruit youngsters must have been further compromised by the last few years and the demise of the academy (hopefully temporary) won't help in the longer run

Anyone with good ability will be hoovered up by big clubs and churned out through their academies. We have a lad in under 8s who is going down to Everton and also has Liverpool watching him. He's ridiculously good for a 7 year old but given the choice, who would pick Oldham over any club in the top 3 or 4 divisions at a young age?

Yep, that’s him, had a great season but I’m told a couple of league two clubs are looking at him.

Not sure if if it’s been mentioned but Hogan is going to be a squad player at best and the preferred back two are Raglan and Hobson.

Norwood has been apparently been told to actively find another club due a development.

We’ve approached Wigan to sign Stones permanently or a season long loan.

I’m hearing big Mike has been offered a one year deal.

    Norwood been naughty

I honestly don’t think everything is entirely rosy in the camp TBH…. Maybe MM was angry and could have been speaking out of frustration, however, whether they were true or not the board cannot possibly be happy with the timing of some of those comments that he made after the Wealdstone game.

Got told Norwood did something naughty. He's free to leave apparently. Not sure how true

I think the point is being missed. If I told a customer to "Shut the fuck up" or "Fuck off" I would be sacked immediately. These people are no different than we are, bar the fucking comparatively huge salaries and public profile as representatives of our club. You would think that fact would not go unnoticed by the manager and players and they would have the decency to actually do some work to earn their bloated pay packages.

If they are feeling the heat from the fans then either put in a fucking convincing performance on the pitch [which is actually their job] or just fuck off altogether. The fact that most of the imposters are going to be here next season, along with a really depressing manager, is just making we want to give it a miss. Unfortunately for me, Oldham Athletic is my one and only team and to turn my back on it is nigh on impossible.

Imagine if you worked in a supermarket and every week a crowd of people stood round your till shouting abuse at you. Constant. Telling you to swipe the items. Telling you to put stuff in bags. Ridiculous shit. Ridiculous abuse. I reckon if you told someone to fuck off you wouldn't get sacked

If I told a customer to "Fuck off" after getting 'advice', I would be sacked immediately. Maybe a method in his madness. Seriously, Mellon shouldn't be using inflammatory language to members of the paying public, especially if youngsters are in earshot. He is a major representative of the club and should know better, despite the perceived insult, which it certainly wasn't.

Let's not make out like it's a one off stupid comment. It's that along with plenty of abuse.
