Erwin has very good feet and has good technical ability but for a big guy he's pretty useless in the air ..won nothing all night as he did Saturday. I liked the look of the left backconsidering he's just come into the team etc. Fane is going to be play at a higher level than league one that is clear .Back four solid,midfield tigerish just lacked that ability to play those killer balls. Overall quite pleased and it looks as though we are getting there

If I had to choose of course I would go for Ricky as he did it against better opposition but I was just merely commenting that we haven't had anyone since who could deliver great balls like Eyres'y could.

I was having a few moments day dreaming when a certain Mr David Eyres popped into my head and wondering how much we crave a player of his ability to put in the perfect cross/corner and to contribute in the goals department. A great player for an "oldie" with two particular moments that i'l never forget ..one being his 40yarder (if not more) v Plymouth with the keeper still trying to organise his wall and the free kick away at Stockport in the last last few minutes of the game ..ahhh happy days.

Yeah simple enough but when you have an 80yr old in tow with limited mobility and you choose a turnstile that is nearer to where you are told to park ..only then to be told you have to use the other one at the opposite end of the stand then it's not so easy. Still why let any of that get in the way eh.

The speakers in the north stand are normally way too loud this time way to low all I heard was three thousand and then the rest was inaudible. I'm sure they'll get it just right ....one day.

In that case don't believe everything you read . and I'm happy in the knowledge that my £100 permit fee goes to a good cause. -
I wasn't having a go at the staff just the strange system ...they get what they are given and told how to operate .Also as some have stated the number of people being turned away because they were at the wrong turnstile needs to be addressed surely they can programme these scanners to accept all cards for your relevant stand.
