  1. Really? I'm bemused by a lot of these comments about what he might bring....comedy value yes, but the lad can't hold up the ball, falls over...lots, and certainly doesn't have a turn of pace.... Maybe I've been watching something different, and don't get me wrong I'd love to have to come on here and eat humble pie about my comments but I just can't see what others do I'm afraid....but we all have opinions and see things in different ways, and it keeps forums like this going
  2. Another 3 points in the bag, other results went our way as well for a change....Ripley showed his class again, Wilson had another solid game...Taylor, apart from the assist was again largely missing for me (just my opinion)...I still don't get Ngoo, I understand that he brings something "different" but how he can be taken seriously as a professional footballer baffles me - he can't run, pass and should have taken his chance really...again just my opinion
  3. Great result, it's the points that matter ..We had 20 mins that won the game for us, but people need to evaluate the game as a neutral rather than as a fan really and admit we were poor, they had two off the woodwork which would have made it a different game... Can't see what others see in ngoo, Taylor didn't turn up.... But like I say 3 points is all that matters at this stage and gives us a glimmer of hope for the rest of the campaign, still a long way to go (and I expect pelters for being honest)
  4. Good additions to the midfield, I'm not quite sure about Taylor if I'm honest...he had one good season the last time, is too lightweight, falls over too much and then spends too much time whinging when decisions don't go his way...what we desperately needed was another striker and unfortunately for whatever reason that hasn't happened. The players we do have now just have to step up and try to drag us out of this mess...again!
  5. FFS....The latics soap opera takes another unexpected twist
  6. Thought we were flat first half, raised our game in the second and it was great to see 2 goals, one from open play and to have 3 sides of the ground singing again - as a PR exercise then its done what its set out to achieve, how we fair in the long run is anyone's guess as to be honest Peterborough were very poor and flattered us, which surprised me given their current league standing, Bradford on Saturday is a real test. If say 500 of the 3.5k extra fans that turned up come back on Saturday then that would be good, but history tells me that's not going to happen I dont think.... Onwards and upwards as they say!
  7. It does seem a little odd that no one thought of recording it on a smartphone of some description, as like others have pointed out with the best will in the world things do get lost and can be taken out of context when being recorded by hand and then replayed back....might end up causing more harm than good as people will all have their own interpretation on Simon and Co's replies...
