Oh I get it, every man and his dog can make a judgement on a player whose played an hour for us but i can't do the same if my view is a negative one.

For what it's worth I agree about Lundstrum, he has something about him covers the ground and looks comfortable at both ends of the pitch, he should just get better now as well.

It's just that Lundstrum stuck out so much as a contrast to Sheron and Shelton. Almost like a breath of fresh air in the first half.

Bringing this to the fore before we all get carried away with Lundstram having a semi-decent debut...

More than semi-decent I thought. He brings to the table just what we've been lacking without doubt. If he gets match fit and we can bring in another player of similar or better quality I can see us starting to dominate matches in midfield.

Why do people insist on making the same stupid comments about players and the team .When we all know the squad is imbalanced and needs reinforcements no matter who the manager is . Its as if people just want to piss and moan about anything , or insult players at every opportunity  that cant be true can it .

Anyways ill have a Kebab tonight in honour of Galatasaray.

And maybe watch a few videos like Liverpool 7 Manu 1 was it from last season ?

And a few more of their defeats from this season.

Oh how sad can we be ?

    Good though innit ?

  4. Going against the grain a little bit here but I think a new manager needs to be appointed asap. At least then a new man will be able to get in the two or three players we urgently need. I'm sure all likely candidates including ST will know exactly what's needed. No more messing about.

Yesterday was absolutely rotten. Unable to compete at these dog and duck grounds makes me ill.

Give Mellon the gig until the end of the season with a hearty promotion bonus. If he doesn’t get us up, get rid and find someone else.

The longer we stay at this level, the more fans we will lose, commercial opportunities will dwindle and financially we will suffer.

There is no time to piss about and experiment any longer. Thompson seems a nice guy but whatever the tactics he instructed yesterday were totally and utterly unacceptable.

This must be a piss take.

After 4 games unbeaten including 4 away points we find ourselves 2 points from the playoffs.

Almost certainly any prospective new manager will have been watching our games.

Almost certainly they will now have a opinion of what needs strengthening

Almost certainly money will be available to strengthen the team as they think necessary.

No way is it necessary for us to go banging on about our midfield and right back when we have improved our results and League position far beyond anything we could have reasonably expected 4 games ago.

We’re doing ok in the right direction.

FFS don't start making reasonable posts like that on here, you'll get slaughtered.

Chilli flakes on the eggs, proper game changer.

Try frying some thinly sliced onions till soft, maybe some sliced green pepper too, then add some curry powder, then your eggs.

Indian style scrambled eggs, just a nice change.

    Still needs s&p

You should absolutely do it Redlion! London is the greatest city in the world (Imho) and brilliant for walking around and just taking things in.

The game last around 3.5 to 4 hours (plus they’ll be in the stadium an hour before so you have loads of time.

    Here’s what I’d do;

Take the tube from Wembley Park (10 min walk down Wembley Way) down to Baker Street and then change onto the Bakerloo line and get off at Piccadilly Circus. Stroll down Haymarket to Trafalgar Square and visit the National Portrait Gallery. After that, head down Northumberland Avenue and over the walking bridge across the Thames with the Houses of Parliament to your right and the London Eye opposite you. Then turn left along the riverside walk and you can walk all the way along the South Bank taking in the sights and sounds of the river as well as Shakespeares Globe Theatre, HMS Belfast, and Clink Street (Englands first prison) and ending at More London and Tower Bridge. On the way you pass the Tate Modern where you can marvel at why an IKEA mirror is now displayed as a piece of art and other cool stuff! (You can also venture out to the middle of the Thames on the infamous Millennium Bridge now they have fixed the “wobble”)

There are endless bars and restaurants along the way, some expensive some “normal” but if you have time and really want to see London, Europes tallest building the Shard is at London Bridge and you can pre book a visit to the viewing gallery on the 68th floor or, spend the same money but on a drink at Aqua bar on the 31st floor which still has amazing views (no booking needed so first come first served

Once you’ve had enough you can jump on the Jubilee line at the newly redeveloped London Bridge Station which will take you all the way back up to Wembley Park in approx 30 mins or so

    Enjoy 😀🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧👍

WOW ! Thanks for that, a days itinerary laid out for me. I'm an oap and I was ten when I last went to London as a tourist with my Mum and one of my Sisters. The only other times i've been are to watch Latics at the old Wembley. Hopefully if i'm well enough i'll go on the 8th Oct.

Thanks again for your comprehensive reply.

As I can’t now go, I have 2 tickets for the Jaguars v Atlanta Falcons NFL game at Wembley this Sunday if anyone fancies a double header after watching Latics beat Wealdstone?!

They are decent seats just a couple of rows back from the front of the top tier..and, they are end of row seats so you can easily head to the bar during the regular game breaks!

The game kicks off at 2:30 so plenty of time to get home!

I payed just over £90 per ticket but happy to accept a fair offer from a fellow ‘Tic

Its a great experience if you haven’t been before!

DM me if interested, I have the tickets so can send the digital files and/or you can print out the PDF

I did ask one of my sons who takes one of his sons to NFL games if he wanted your tickets but it turns out they are going the week after on the 8th Oct. I don't have any interest in NFL but it did occur to me that I could cadge a lift off them and spend a few hours in London visiting a museum or such. But looking at google maps, i'm not sure it's a viable option. Do you think it's possible or are there any attractions around Wembley I could visit ?

My limited understanding of NFL is that it's a long drawn out match. I assume they'll be using Wembly Statium parking, do you know how far the nearest tube station is ? Thanks.

you can pay on day but it was full. if u could see a space its reserved.

we parked behind the JF on what used to be bumpy wasteland with a few dead trees.

then Frank comes along and its a car park at £5 a pop ok yep count us in!!

Yeah that's where i've been parking too. I think the problem with the JR car park is they've been accepting cash payments then pass holders have been turning up and not been able to get in.

  11. I've always parked behind the JR stand on match days, paying £5 on the day. The last couple of games I've been turned away because it's pass holders only. This was at 14:15 on Saturday. I do not know if it fills up with pass holders but when I checked on Saturday the official website still said you can pay on the day. They need to get their website and car park staff synchronised.

idiot is defo offensive, however you want to dress it up.

the point is almost valid but ruined at the end. if it said that what Unsworth did was idiotic then it would have a salient post. as it stands it just looks a bit like kicking a man on the floor, as Bob says.

    According to the OED IDIOT:

Frequently derogatory. A person who speaks or acts in what the speaker considers an irrational way, or with extreme stupidity or foolishness.

So, while it is derogatory, it is not necessarily offensive.

It can be argued that Unsworth did act irrationally, stupidly and foolishly.

yes he said that Oxford City are so shite that saturday was their biggest match of the season, possibly ever, and challenged us to name a bigger away match for them this season.

Thanks for that. I've also noticed you speak fluent bollocks too at times. 🤣 Just thought i'd point that out as you seem to have missed it off your list. Age I suppose.

That’s not abuse as far as I’m concerned!

Must admit I thought it was a fair comment and factual, not abusive. I think 99% would agree Unsworth's intentions were honest, he just wasn't up to the job.

Edit: And if he can't learn in 12 months I think its fair to call him an idiot.

Not sure what was ridiculous. When Shelton came on the performance (obviously the team) reverted to bad habits, and the trigger was him backing off. We needed him to come on and give us energy and keep us on the front foot.

Shelton has been very badly coached for the last year. Seemingly, he was well regarded at his previous club in a higher league. Also, Thommo judges him good enough to be included. Give the lad a chance in the "new improved" approach. I also think that all subs coming on should get applause.

Don't wish to be antagonistic but he is possibly the most limited player in the squad, one of the great mysteries is how he keeps getting picked in midfield.

FFS stop being so apologetic will ya ?

Just say " I think he is possibly the most limited player in the squad, one of the great mysteries is how he keeps getting picked in midfield."

Edit: I think he does ok by the way.
