Tried a few of the pies and they’ve all been poor, especially the steak. The best thing the kiosks currently do are the samosas.
That's useful to know, I might try a couple tonight, thanks.

I had pie, peas and gravy in Bar Station Zebra and it was banging
Mind you having 4 bar staff to serve 200 in the queues (and not having any pre-poured pints) meant I’d eaten it well before I got my pint…
I suspect the gravy and peas made it tasty, the pies are "built" down to a price point. Cheap and nasty. They remind me of a crap pie I had from the Pound Bakery in Royton a few years ago.

Whatever the stand you're in I think the catering is pretty naff. I'm talking about the pies here. I go in the JR stand and i've tried all the pies on offer and they are pretty awful. This is Oldham. I think we should be showing the rest of the country that when you come here you can rely on a really good pie. I know there are very good bakers in the area that produce some tasty goods, surely Frank can have a word and get something done. As i've said on here before, Village Manor Bakery in Waterhead would fit the bill.

Let's not get carried away boys. We are in the shit at the moment with a team with zero confidence. We aren't going to become promotion contenders on Tuesday. Just enjoy the "Unsworths Gone" euphoria.

But his loyalty to his staff has probably stood him in very good stead over the years.
I'm sure your're right but I bet he didn't leave completely incompetent managers in their posts.

For me (Andy), I'll trust the board's opinion over unqualified opinions (including my own) from the terrace.
There are many people on the terraces and on this forum that have been watching professional football for fifty and sixty years. There are also ex-latics players on the terraces. There is a huge amount of football knowledge and experience on the terraces that is of the opinion that Unsworth is out of his depth. It dwarves the qualified opinion of the board.

And if it doesn't the sun will still come up tomorrow
Yes it will but I watched a repeat of a Brian Cox program the other day in which he said in about a billion years our sun will die. Do you think Unsworth could have got us promoted by then ?

Not really necessary.
I was being polite and restrained believe me.
Edit: Well maybe less of the polite but more restraint.

Interesting listen, as always.
I don't watch you, so can't judge that side of things. But I do think the fanbase is becoming a prisoner of its own expectations. The league you are in is possibly the hardest in the entire pyramid to get out of at the right end. You start a fair bit behind some battle-hardened clubs who've been there or thereabouts regularly and not succeeded. So you need to stop expecting success I feel, and start hoping for it.
"But we are Oldham", I hear some of you say. To which the answer is - "so what"? Yes, you were a League club of many years standing. But you were a crap League club for a lot of the later years, and nobody in this Division is going to be intimidated by you. What will get you out of it is hard work, ingenuity and unity. Only you know how you are doing on all three, or whether Unsworth is the right man. He's had fifty games now, and I'd imagine over the next couple of months the Board will reach conclusions about him one way or another.
One last thing - my club has won the play offs six times, and in practically every one of those winning years we started extremely slowly and then accelerated. It is too early to panic, and as fans you have a big say in whether the next managerial appointment is properly planned and considered, or rushed into in a panic.
Pope Basil has spoken. Praise be.

When are these new midfield players allegedly signing ?
Well last week or this according to "always right" David. Not so sure though.
-
Can we afford not to ?
No we can't as explained in the previous posts.
Easy decision it seems to me.

For me, Unsworth hasn't changed or learned in his twelve months at the club. It's time to go David.

Tell me when it has had an effect on a game and I'll agree
It's all about planning for possible events. You seem to be oblivious to that.

Just absolutely dire. I had to apologise to my son for inviting him along. I think i've had enough of this dross and i'm not sure i'll be going again until either Unsworth goes or he learns how to manage a football team.

As a biker myself I can appreciate the dangers blood bikers risk. Heavy lorries, swirling spray, lane hopping drivers etc, it's all extra risk while volunteering for a very worthy cause. These guys and gals go out in all weather 24/7 365 days a year while we are tucked up snug at home.

Is this really what OWTB has become?
Well no I think it's been "like this" for ages. Having said that, I do accept my comment is over the top and I apologise to @mcfluff1985. I still think his arguments just don't contain any sense.

Is it? I'd say the oldham athletic team encompasses the first team squad. Semantics
@mcfluff1985 you are constantly attempting to engage in a battle of wits but you are obviously unarmed. You are just embarrassing yourself.

That was kind of my point. I was referring to how the question was worded - is he the right man to take us forward? What does that mean exactly? That will mean different things to different people so the poll is flawed.
I disagree. I think it's a straightforward simple question. Do you think he has the right skills as a football manager/coach to get us promoted and progress from there. Get us into L1 or beyond by developing the team and bringing in young players. So that would include all the skills many people think he lacks such as team selection, tactice, game management etc.

Hope better than Nuttall in my book. More lively, holds the ball better, better all round.
