  1. Not a patch on Sparta.

Love these kits tho. Best in years. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the sports direct deal end after this season, meaning we have an opportunity to move on next season and go for something completely different?

Might be another chance for AL to get the fans onside

  2. Tbf I think the reason the country is more open to this England team is they ain't a team of prima donnas. It's basically a team of kids who barely have a cap between them. They are playing the game as it should be played and being shepherded by a manager that's more down to earth than anything I've seen in my lifetime, and with the tactical nous to go with it.

It's latics every time for me, but this is an England team we can really get behind

  3. Might just be me being nieve but if it's there purely for the use of fans rather than being looked at as a profitable business I'm sure it could be sustainable weekly regardless of Tue astronomical 'rent. The place wood be packed twice a month, and then if ya got it running 7 days a week for Sunday and midweek games it would be relatively busy all week. On the down days where there are no football games get it open for quiz nights and such and out of nowhere you have a 7 day a week operation.

The advantage of having it at latics is fan loyalty. People would go out of their way to support it if they knew they were helping the club.

As for using Fleetwood as an example to base it on I would be looking at MK dons rather than fleetwood. MKs is fan-tastic

  4. Anyone got one?

I'll admit I have no clue whatsoever about the goings on down there - or down here I suppose I need to start saying. The little information on the teams I do know about is years out of date in some cases.

It's probably been a case of me being a little stuck up in never even contemplating life down here but I never even bothered to check the league table out.

So what of the runners and riders then? Who are the big hitters? Who are the money bags? Can we expect the three play off losers to be up there again? (At this moment I don't even know who they are I've not quite come to terms with this yet)

Most importantly if we approach this like a proffessional club, not the penny pinching traditional latics way, do we have a chance of success?

I can't be the only one here who still quite hasn't come to terms with relegation. Who has been nieve enough to turn a blind eye to league two over the years knowing it will never happen ?.

So go on you educated lot. Give me hope

  5. Compared to some of the shite teams we have put out in the last 10 years he had some real talent at his disposal. To have this team relegated shows some real tactical balls up.

To not play to Doyle and Byrnes strengths when they are clearly a cut above the rest of the team was to me criminal.

    Time to go richie

  6. Much of what happens next week is down to mental strength on the day. For the most part form and quality go out the window and it's down to who can handle the pressure.

So is this team up to it? Do we have the leaders on the pitch? Do rochdale?

For the life of me I can't remember having such a soft team. We have always had leaders. Gregan, Clarke, Garnett, dux, wellens all would give out a rollicking when needed. In this team though I can't see much past Byrne and Gardner, and them two wouldn' make my list if I'm honest

  7. Has to go at the end of the season now for me regardless.

Let's be honest if we stay up it will be down to rochdale or Walsall being shite just as much as it will us plucking a win from nowhere.

He hasn't done much wrong, but then again he hasn't done much of anything.

His best players were here before he was appointed, and while he did change it tonight his refusal to play to Byrnes and Doyle's strengths (as he did in the honeymoon period) is what is sending us down.

It's just gutting that we can finally look forward in the summer, a fresh start without corney and we have to do it from a league below. I'm resigned to relegation now

  8. Posting this just to try and break the worrying run of draws we have gotten ourselves into.

League record for consecutive draws is shared by 4 teams and stands at 8. We have 3 games left and can equal it at northampton. I don't want to equal it because we would be in very real danger of going down. We need wins. Likelihood of drawing the last 3 under current tactics?
