Diego_Sideburns
Tonight's Leicester Mercury reports that Leicestershire is bracing itself for more heavy snowfalls tomorrow. Forecasters say it will start falling at about 6am and there is unlikely to be any let up throughout the day. An extreme weather warning has been put out by the Met Office. Snow, coming in from the south, could bring a further10cm, or four inches, to some areas of the county. A spokesman for the Met Office said: "There remains considerable uncertainty in the areas more likely to be affected." He said there is more snow to come on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. However, experts said these will be light falls and sleet showers.

Matt
This is a good 'un, http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/cameras.html I don't know the refresh rate, but it's up to date at time of posting. The last two, Narborough Rd/Braunstone Ln and Aylestone Rd/Raw Dykes Road are closest to the ground I think...
Matt
Actually the Aylestone Rd/Raw Dykes Road camera is right next to the ground. I think it's somewhere around here Mmm, maybe there's more than one camera on that junction - anyway, you can't get better than that unless you live in the area... Diego_Sideburns
The undersoil heating is doing its job on the pitch and the snow has been cleared from the perimeter. http://www.leicestercity-mad.co.uk/news/lo...W&id=431109 P.S. Diego_Sideburns
Been snowing since 4am here in Leicestershire. Pretty heavy earlier but has eased a little now. It looks OK on the live camera nearest the Walkers Crisp Bowl. LCFC has assured us that all snow around the stadium will be cleared so t'job's a good un! http://www.bbc.co.uk/leicester/content/web...ad_webcam.shtml
Diego_Sideburns
Leicester’s confidence about playing the match tomorrow is based on their undersoil heating comprising twelve miles of pipes under the pitch. They decided not to shift the snow, allowing it to form a blanket, and they are expecting the heating to thaw the snow and to help to evaporate the resulting water. In case of any lingering snow, they will bring in stewards to help clear the playing surface. The car parks and surrounding areas will be gritted today
Diego_Sideburns
What snow? Hardly any left for pedestrians and motorists on the live camera view nearest the Walkers. http://www.bbc.co.uk/leicester/content/web...ad_webcam.shtml Get your thermals ready for tomorrow as it's forecast to be brrrrrrrrrr!
