edhunteruk
In defence of this guy: 1) Hughes wasn't stunning today 2) Hines didn't do much (but I think he'll be ok) 3) The keeper hit two consecutive kicks straight in to touch at one stage 4) Windass was on the deck a lot trying to claim a free kick 5) Smalley does have a habit of running down a blind alley at times. I forgot to add a couple of points to my post above: On the good side: WE SCORED FROM A CORNER AND A FREE KICK THAT WAS LIKE A CORNER!!! YAY!!!! On the duff side: WOULDN'T MIND A GOAL FROM OPEN PLAY LADS. are opposition keepers just supposed to turn up and let us score then, without trying.....because the last 2 keeprs who have visited bp have been fantastic at saving some certain goals, all from open play. as for defending somebody who spent 45 mins moaning and groining every single player pass shot pass corner free kick tackle etc etc....how can you defend that??? or is it he has paid his money he is entitled to it......people come on here week in week out saying back the lads stop moaning and support the team, could understand it if we was a gash as two previous home games, but not today.... OldhamSheridan
I think Rubes has been terribly underrated. His first half performance was one of the best I've seen in that position. The best thing (probably for next season) is that we didn't miss Taylor at all.
footy68
Their Hughes is reported to have cleared 3 (THREE) off the line. One from Smalley which God only knows how he got to it. We were all over them. A good performance in my book in a system alien to them.
