Oldham offer Allott new contract

Mark Allott

Allott is a product of the Boundary Park youth system

Oldham midfielder Mark Allott has been offered a one-year contract extension.

The 31-year-old, who dominated the club Player of the Year Awards in 2008, has scored goals in 47 games this season.

His deal with the League One outfit is due to run out this summer after he returned to the club from Chesterfield in 2007.

Latics boss Joe Royle told the club website: "Mark hasn't got too many mentions from me so far but in fact he's been remarkably consistent." ..... in finding the net it seems!!!

With a goalscoring record like that, there's no way he's staying at BP.
