Could be good additions & are now free agents. thoughts??
Crusoe
Are they really any better than what we have? Would rather we didn't bulk up the squad with mediocrity, but spent the wage budget on a smaller number of more talented players or genuinely promising youngsters (but not the "ready in a year or two" kind though). slystallone
Being honest; IMO Disley is better than Westlake who has played for us recently; a good L1 player who would make us stronger I think.........but I take your point though in terms of being choosey with who we sign. As i've said on the released Ipswich players thread; there are going to be loads & loads of players available this summer (in the region of 1000+ i'm led to believe). Out of such a large number i'm sure we'll find the 'quality' that you alude to in your post, signing 6-8 players who are 'up to the job'. I'd at least offer Disley a trial though
Crusoe
Yeah, I'll take your word on Disley being worth a look (not seen him play that I can remember). Mind you I always thought that Ryan Green was fairly decent (didn't he play for Wolves and Wales - or is that a different player?).
opinions4u
Disley scored a last minute winner against us a couple of years ago, but never noticed him in the games at BP. There are probably 65 clubs releasing players who we could, potentially, sign this summer. These posts could get exceptionally repetitive in the coming days!!
