wozz_oafc
The TA are looking to build a self sufficient and stable club. However, with all the money now getting poured into the English game from abroad this approach is obviously not the best for guaranteeing success on and off the field. We are now up against clubs in our league with billionaires backing them, which probably makes the TA money seem pretty small fry. So for those saying we lack ambition since the stadium plans have been announced would you rather we started looking for new super rich owners who can plough money into every aspect of the club willy nilly left right and centre? Is that the kind of ambition you are after?
LaticsPete
You won't get a reply from Corp Jones - he won't say what size ground is "ambitious" enough for him. therefore it can't be costed and we don't know what sort of investor we would need. Prendy_1984
I think our hope should be that we are made stable and self sufficient and then wait for all the Clubs with big money backers to collapse. Something has to go wrong for them at some stage.

In actual fact CJ answered Pete at every turn, even though Pete tried his patience by ignoring the answer and repeating the question at least six times. Is that the kind of ambition you are after? It's a difficult question. The whole of football has become inherently unstable due to the changing nature of club ownership. Something may give at some point. If it doesn't we'll move even further away from the top divisions in terms of potential, if not league position. If things go according to plan, we may become a well-run lower division club. If the structure of professional football is altered we might well end up in some kind of minor league, forever cut off from anything better, and regarding clubs like Barnsley, Blackpool and Doncaster as big clubs. I fear we passed the point of no return some time ago.
BP1960
The true measure of Latics current position is to go for for a 12,000 capacity stadium that can be extended if required. I think that's just about right .
